Worst aftersales service yet

Buying a product from them gets you quick and effective service. I have no complaint on my fibre package either. It works well. However once the transaction is finalized they make it abundantly clear that they do not value their customers. Try getting a hold of an agent either on their secure chat ( according to them the fastest route ) or via phone call good luck. I have up waiting for an agents response on the chat after about an hour and eventually after an hour and twenty minutes an agent with a very indifferent even slightly rude attitude answers and is as blunt as can be for the duration of the call trying to dismiss your complaint and trying to end the call as soon as possible. Their slogan should be....MWEB great when it works but if an issue arises you are basically on your own

I had an issue with my internet…

I had an issue with my MWEB internet connection since 27 Dec 2025 and i have been talking go live chats agent but no chamge. I was told someone will come and chexk what ia the problem nothing yet. And it has been 11 days no connection ...what will i be pahing for am so pissed because i have unnecessary cost of getting connected

Bad Service From Mweb

Mweb has a deal running which i applieed for. The installation was completed by the relevant service provider but Mweb did not bring router for connection my Fibre. I have been waiting for over a week but the weird thi g they debited my account whilst they have not even completed providing the fibre service. Their contact centre are not even assisting in this regard.

SHOCKING SERVICE- MWEB

I would give ZERO stars if that was an option.
Absolutely the worst customer service experience I have ever had.
I requested a moving home order on 3 December. More than a month later, we are still without internet. No progress. No resolution. No accountability.

I have spent HOURS on hold with the call centre, plus countless hours waiting on live chat and WhatsApp, only to receive the same scripted response every single time:

“This has been escalated and you will receive feedback within 48–72 hours.”

This response has been repeated for over a month.

The so-called “support agents” who interacted with me: Jason, Tamika, Cindy, and Arezona, failed to offer any actual support beyond repeating the same escalation script. None provided follow-up, ownership, or resolution. Each interaction simply led back to the same dead end.

Being without internet for this long is unacceptable. At this point, this is no longer a technical issue — it is a complete breakdown of customer service, internal communication, and accountability.

If you value your time, sanity, or ability to work from home, avoid MWEB at all costs. Once there’s a problem, you are left completely on your own.

Disgraceful service.

I finally cancelled my plan with them

I finally cancelled my plan with them, now they are not releasing the line for my new fiber to take over, basically keeping me hostage, been in the queue for their live chat for more than 90min, no answers, on the call for their support for 60min also no answer, still caller number 5, started as 13

Stay as far away as possible

Most useless company and call center I have dealt with for years. Problems get raised, escalated and ignored. Trying to call them means you will hold on for 20min plus and then get cut off almost every time. Their chat option in the App also has a waiting time of over 20 min and also provides no resolution. The only thing that works is their billing

MWEB is the WORST service provider I’ve ever seen or came across!!!
I pay my monthly fee religiously so but I get horrible customer service!!
What do you mean my fibre has been down for 3 days with no communication except “technicians are on site”!!!
Which site on a long weekend? I want d to rest and catch up but how do I do that when I’m deprived of a service I pay for??? I am cancelling my membership with them! I’m good shame! YOH!!!!

I wish there was a zero star

I wish there was a zero star. Even that is beyond what mweb deserves. This service is far way below exceptable.
This is the worst service I've ever subscribed to. Total waste of time and money. And their customer service is a joke, waste of airtime. I'm deeply disappointed, SIES!!?

They need to learn how to do business again

Hi all

The 1st service was poor. Nobody can do anything; they just transfer
you to another department over and over. wastes 300 rand of airtime
even when 1ste in line it took 25 min before that person answered.

2de Thing: how long does it take to upgrade the line speed? It's not
like you installing a new router or line as I already have them. to
move one nod and vlan really that is 2hour job at max.

3de Turn around for service is horrible 1st i was told it takes
24hours next day that i phone no sorry it takes 48hours and the next
day that i phone they we it can take up to 72 hours or longer. in the
real world where we come from you sla 2 hours and max 6hours if you
had to travel. so i am not happy that you basically tell me you don't
know when it will be resolved when i already paid axes fees

4de they escalate but can escalate to a manager or person even higher
land the more i till them it
important i have tax runs to start monthly and commission for sale and
we not taking about 100-rand 9billion and its year end everybody is
like we will just pass it on. I NEED THIS RESOLVED or I WILL MY

Do Not waste your time with this…

Do Not waste your time with this useless company.
No support or response, non existent after sales support. No internet service, you are on your own. The only thing that works well at MWEB is their billing and debit order system. Trust me they will unashamedly take your money without providing any service. Then they will justify this by asking you to read the fine print. Don't do it, use any other professional ISP, except for MWEB.

Option of giving no stars isn't available. Ive ordered my fibre on the 22nd of november its now the 23 of december, ive had a horrible experience with this network provider. They only came to deliver my router on the 18th of december and im still waiting for them to activate it. If i knew this sooner i would have cancelled.

To say I'm disappointed it's an understatement,I'm beyond angry highly disappointed with your customer service!!Mweb doesn't care about their clients at all!!My internet has been down since the 15th of December till today I haven't received any assistance from them!!I have been calling day in and day out But at the End No help!!I don't owe them but my internet was taken down!!I will Never Ever recommend Mweb to anyone!!I've never been so frustrated in my life!!😭😭😭💔My kids holidays has been horrible bcos we have No internet.

Extremely Disappointed with MWeb.I am genuinely appalled by the level of service I’ve received from MWeb. Their customer support is honestly one of the worst I’ve ever experienced. I waited over two hours for assistance both via the app and the call centre. I was stuck as caller number 20 for more than an hour, with absolutely no progress.

It is unacceptable for a service provider to have a customer service line when they clearly cannot manage the call volume or provide timely support. It feels like they simply do not care about their customers or their experience.

The lack of urgency, the excessive waiting times, and the complete inability to assist paying customers is beyond frustrating. I would never recommend MWeb to anyone based on this experience.

MWeb seriously needs to rethink how they handle customer support because right now, it’s failing on every level.

Mweb one sidedly cancelled my service instead of moving it

On 27 October 2025 I used the official “Move Home” function in the MWEB app and also phoned the call centre to request that my existing uncapped fibre package be moved to my new address. I clearly gave the move date of 14 November 2025 and received an order confirmation email. The move order showed “Provisioning” in the app.The new place already had a fully working Openserve ONT with green lights. I simply took my MWEB router with me when I moved in.On 13 November 2025 I received an SMS saying my contract had been cancelled. When I called again, MWEB claimed there was “no service” at the new address and that they had therefore cancelled my contract one-sidedly – completely untrue, the ONT was live and ready.
From that point it became an absolute nightmare:
> The original move order mysteriously disappeared from the app (all previous orders are still visible – only this one vanished).
> More than 10 calls to the call centre – every time a different agent, a different excuse.
> Tickets opened with promises of “3–5 working days”, then silently closed with zero feedback.
> All emails came from no-reply addresses – impossible to respond or attach proof.
> Calls frequently dropped or I was transferred endlessly between departments.
> I emailed photos of the working ONT and router to the address given by Retentions – completely ignored.

After a month of chasing and two full weeks with no home internet at all, on 28 November 2025 I finally cancelled the entire service out of pure frustration and despair.

All MWEB had to do was activate the line on an already-connected Openserve ONT – a task that should take minutes. Instead they cancelled my contract by mistake and then stonewalled me. MWEB’s customer service is, without doubt, the worst I have ever experienced from any South African company. Friendly voices on the phone mean nothing when nobody actually solves the problem.

three years and my cable keeps breaking…

three years and my cable keeps breaking in the same place, but they wont replace it, they only fix it - hence it breaks in the EXACT same place every 6 months..

A word of advice.. NEVER use their online chat to report your fault, i was on this morning for TWO HOURS.. they are completely useless.. its like the post office for the internet.. they are utterly clueless about service..
