My Danish Roots Opiniones

I was seeking to trace the background to a Danish side of my family which had emigrated from Randers to Liverpool around 1900. I can highly recommend the service provided by My Danish Roots, which was prompt and thorough on their side and responsive to questions from me. Parts of the tree were hard to figure out, so persistence was another virtue on display, as well as a willingness to just honestly say when they couldn’t be certain.

This geneaology service helped me trace my Danish ancestors back to 1701. I started my research in the United States where they emigrated in the late 1800s. Once I had exhausted that search, My Danish Roots was able to identify the family in Denmark with verifiable census and birth records going back six generations. They were honest about the uncertainty of one side of my family, which helped me focus the research for more credible, verifiable results. Thanks My Danish Roots. I look forward to visiting my ancestors' homeland later this year.

I continue to find the results of the work of the team at My Danish Roots invaluable. Initially they helped me locate where in Denmark my great grandmother was born and raised. And now since returning from a visit to that spot where I met a descendant currently living in the homestead, they have translated a treasure trove of papers the family shared with us. From that information the team then added to the family tree they initially created for us and found supporting information from the CPR register, about each of the newly found relatives. Lastly they have offered suggestions on how to go about contacting these family members. This company has earned our trust. We intend to continue our work with them. They are the utmost professionals: highly competent, knowledgeable, responsive and affordable. Our experience partnering with them continues to be enjoyable and gratifying.

There was a matter in the family history that we couldn’t verify. Niels found the information in a very efficient and courteous manner, would. Certainly use again.

What a great organization My Danish Roots is! I am working on my ancestry tree and had hit a brick wall when researching my great grandmother! Niels found all the info I needed, was so patient - even helping me with my PayPal account, and answered all my emails in a timely fashion! I have learned so much. I have Niels’ email and will definitely use him again if I need more help!

This experience has brought so much joy to my life. The staff was able to find many lost relatives that I have been searching what happened to them. I wrote pages of questions I had and what information I possessed. Methodically, most questions were answered and backed up with documention which was translated in English. There were brick walls that were found but am satisfied that everything was done. Also, we had a recording from my Great Uncle Otto who emigrated to the US in 1916 and the staff was able to be translated and transcribed. To my delight the stories were summarized. I have sent this to my cousins. I highly recommend My Danish Roots for any questions you have about your family. I will be using them again. Thank you.

My Danish Roots was easy to work with and very helpful with my research. I attempted to use AI to translate my records into English, but I suspected these translations were off, so I reached out for help. Not only did My Danish Roots reliably and accurately translate my records, but they also provided additional detail and insights that helped me confirm my third-great grandfather's identity. Really excellent service, all around!

My Danish Roots were amazing!! They helped me research my father's half of my ancestry which was 100% Danish. I loved seeing all the details of my family and new extended family as well as even churches my great grandfather attended before migrating to the US. It was a great experience! Thank you to the team for a great job! I'm sure I'll be digging in even deeper soon!

Excellent experience with Niels and the team. Tricky history to find, but a rapid and comprehensive response in my quest to uncover Danish heritage. Strongly recommended

My Danish Roots provided invaluable assistance and insights as I pieced together and documented my family's history going back to 1622.

Christian and the team at My Danish Roots helped me find the information I needed to order a copy of my late father-in-law's birth certificate, which prior had been hindered by my inability to speak Danish and my ignorance of Danish bureaucracy. They were fast and efficient, and they saved me so much time and frustration. I am so relieved, and my husband was really excited to read all of the information about his family. I would definitely recommend them. Thanks again, Christian!

I wanted a passport and needed to have my birth certificate. I requested it be sent from Denmark to the US Danish Consulate. After several attempts, it did not arrive.
This is when I thought to contact Danish Roots and I am so glad I did. Right away I felt I had found an ally. While this is not work that they typically do, they adapted to meet my needs. I highly recommend them as their service exceeds standard expectations. They are pleasant to work with all the while keeping you informed of progress being made. I also suggest reading their very interesting newsletter.

Sincerely yours,

Ann Hurst

I have been working on my genealogy on my mom’s Danish side for over 10 years and during those 10 years I’ve been stumped with many things concerning the names, locations, language, etc. I contacted Danish Roots talked with them and within a couple months they were able to come up with more information than I have in 10 years. The information has always been backed up. I’m very happy as to what they’ve come up with the documentation. They have answered all my questions about name change laws back in the 1800s and any other question i have had. They have always been prompt in responding back. Their website contains information pertinent to researching their genealogy. I would highly recommend that this gets used by individual’s looking for their Danish ancestors

Thanks for a quick response. Must appreciated info. 5 star well-deserved. :-)

This service provided quick tailored responses to my requests, with documentation to support the findings. I found it well worth the reasonable price.

I had a fantastic experience working with My Danish Roots. They quickly found and translated a newspaper article and located the death certificate of my grandfather in Denmark. They provided the results in a professional and timely manner. I’m very grateful for their help and highly recommend their services!

I used the tool to search for my Danish ancestors and relatives. Thanks to it links to public records I have built up a database for 2,800 relatives going back to the early 1800 century. It is easy to use, very flexible and enables you to build up a record for each relative covering most publicly recorded and accessable levents. The search functions are good. I encountered an initial problem when setting up my account, and it was promptly sorted out by their support desk.
