Deceptive Practices and Unethical Demands: My Experience with MyFunPets.com
De manera abusiva y sin mi consentimiento, hicieron un cobro a mi tarjeta de crédito de una suscripción que yo jamás elegí. Cuando les escribí para hacer el reclamo, trataron nuevamente de hacer otro cobro en mi tarjeta de crédito, esta vez por un cargo de cancelación, por no querer más la suscripción (que nunca quise comprar). Finalmente tuve que llamar a mi banco y cancelar esa tarjeta de crédito, porque continuaron tratando de tomar más dinero. No lo recomiendo para nada, es un fraude, es una empresa nueva que supuestamente queda en Grecia, no caigan. ¡Se trata de algún tipo de empresa fraudulenta entonces manténgase alejado en la medida de lo posible!
**ENGLISH VERSION: I live in Colombia, South America, and in June 2022, I received an SMS on my cellphone from a supposed logistics company claiming to have a package for me. The message stated that I needed to pay a local tax; otherwise, I wouldn't receive the package I was expecting (I was indeed expecting an international package around those days, but not from MyFunPets.com). So, innocently, I followed the link, paid the almost two dollars they charged, and that's when the nightmare began! I don't live in Europe, I never intended to subscribe to any services offered by MyFunPets.com, I never gave consent for them to use my data, NEVER!
Afterwards, I contacted them to resolve the issue. They claimed I had purchased a subscription, but I told them I had been deceived by an SMS that I didn't understand. I demanded they cancel it, and simultaneously, I spoke with my bank in Colombia. Fortunately, they preemptively canceled my credit card. It was a good thing they did because the folks at MyFunPets.com attempted two or three more times to take money from my card, but were unsuccessful this time.
**UPDATE 2024** Incredible Offer: MyFunPets.com Now Demands a Positive Review for a Refund!
As you may read above, in June 2022, I fell victim to MyFunPets.com's deceitful tactics when they sneakily charged my credit card for a subscription I never signed up for. Fast forward to February 2024, and I receive an email from Nora at MyFunPets.com, offering a refund in exchange for upgrading my review on Trustpilot. How generous! Apparently, according to them, I simply forgot to cancel my subscription, despite living over 9,559 km away from their supposedly European operations. The cherry on top? They're graciously willing to keep the $2 they took without my consent.
So, to recap: MyFunPets.com commits fraud, tries to extort a positive review, and expects me to be grateful for the opportunity. Bravo! Rest assured, and of course, I will update my opinion. Here it goes, two years later: It's crystal clear that despite the time passed, MyFunPets.com hasn't changed its dirty tactics. I urge everyone to steer clear of doing business with this company. Thanks for the laugh, MyFunPets.com. Classy move!
