Return policy sucks

I purchased a $159 dress, and it did not look like the photos at all. It was cheap, thin, and the color was clearly altered in the photos. When I returned it, they only gave me back $114 because of their restocking fees. What an absolute joke of a company.

2 month wait and not informed

Waiting two months for an item that had no ‘pre-order’ stated when I purchased it. I did nab one of the last few items in stock, so given that I also experienced delays the last time I ordered from them (2/2 times, not a great hit rate) I had a bad feeling, which unfortunately was proven right. What is worst of all is the fact that they DID NOT NOTIFY ME OF THE DELAY UNTIL I EMAILED THEM, and then offered me an insulting $15 AUD (like £8) off my next order if I was happy to continue waiting for another month. They are taking advantage of the fact that they have Instagram clout but if they continue like this they will be run into the ground. I won’t be shopping from them again

The sizing was completely off

The sizing was completely off. I purchased the item with a discount code so it was not returnable, which is fair enough. However, the customer service was extremely rude and unhelpful. Despite hundreds of reviews about their poor sizing and despite much time taken to review their sizing guides in depth, they take no responsibility for their inconsistent sizing.
The quality was also very disappointing arriving in packaging from China. They only allow you 24 hours to make contact if the product is faulty, otherwise they won’t accept the return which is actually against Australian law. They make it impossible to leave a review and only show 5 star reviews on their website which should have been a red flag around their lack of transparency (which they claim to have).

Seems like a greedy company who doesn’t care about their customers. I bought a blouse. I always have size s or 36, I checked all info I could find and thought s would fit. It was way too small. So I applied for a return (you have to apply after buying a 90€ blouse!)
The return was accepted and I was given a return adress in China!
I had to pay 40€ to make the return. I shipped the package last year November. I received it back this year in June. I asked if their shipping adress had changed and they said no but they couldn’t track the package because I hadn’t let them know the tracking number. I’d suggest to mention this in the email you are sending out when saying the return is accepted? They said they understand how frustrating this must be and I should ship again. I told them how much this costs and they said they look into it for improvement I think. Lol. Seriously. Selling such expensive clothes and not being able to receive a package? Disgusting business practice.

Size S dress was like XXL, so off!!
Fabric was okay
Return is the biggest nightmare. I will never buy from this company again. It says it’s an Australian company and you have to return a parcel to the U.S.A.

Return policy is ridiculous- dont even bother and just resell on depop at a discount. You'll probably get more of your money back. I paid $145 total for an item and when I went to return it, I had to buy their $13 return shipping label and they only refunded me $115. So I spent $158 and got a $115 refund. The process was also super slow both receiving my item and getting the refund processed. With a return policy like that, I wont risk buying another item from them, even if the clothes are cute.

DO NOT ORDER

There are no accurate shipping dates, nor will they let you know about the whereabouts of your order. It's clear they only prioritize influencers. Waited over a month for just a response, still no package/clothing in sight.

Don't order from them unless you are an influencer
I placed an order with My Mum Made It on June 7th. At that time, the item was listed as a pre-order that would ship after June 15th. That was fine for me — I needed it before a specific date, so I placed the order early on purpose.

But then, without any notification, they quietly changed the shipping date on their website to June 25th. No email, no warning. I only found out by checking manually.

Later, I noticed in my confirmation email that they had even put “August 6th” as the shipping date — again, without informing me. That’s nearly two months later than promised.

I contacted them several times via their form. After a few automated replies, someone finally responded on June 18th, offering me a refund if I no longer wanted the order. I immediately replied that yes, I wanted to cancel and get a full refund.

They ignored that message completely. Then, on June 20th, I received a new email from them saying my order would ship on July 20th.

So to recap:

They changed the shipping date at least three times without informing me

They offered me a refund, and I accepted — clearly and on time

Then they acted as if that message never happened, and continued the order anyway

Since then, they have not responded to follow-up messages

At this point I’ve filed a chargeback with my credit card provider. I’ve also seen many other customers online with similar experiences — delays, no responses, and ignored refund requests.

⚠️ I would not recommend this brand to anyone. If something goes wrong with your order, they will leave you completely in the dark.From what I’ve seen in tagged posts and reviews, it looks like they only provide proper customer service and fast shipping to people with some kind of social media following. Probably to make the brand look good and encourage others to order.

But for regular customers like me, the treatment is clearly not the same and it shows.

Update: I had to comment under their Instagram because they weren’t replying to my emails. Of course, they deleted my comment.
And right after that, suddenly a brand new account gives them a perfect 5-star review, while nearly everyone else is reporting ignored messages, shipping delays, and refund issues.

Let’s be honest Austria is a neutral country, and it has absolutely nothing to do with “wars and tariffs” causing delays from Australia. That line felt more like an excuse than a real shipping issue.

The last review was posted after mine, and I’ve now reposted my experience so people can see what’s really going on. Please be careful , my refund took a lot of effort and stress and I still have to see the money back on my account, don’t trust this company.

Such A Rip-Off

I've followed this brand for a while and have one of their puffer bags, which I love. I recently ordered a mini dress from the site, which took a couple of weeks to arrive. I ordered a size XL, which is already quite unusual sizing, as I'm usually a M-L. Despite this being an Australian company, the package arrived from China and the fabric was really thin and felt quite cheap. The dress was still cute, but not worth the £110 I paid. It was also way too small around my bust and shoulders, meaning I couldn't raise my arms while wearing it. I requested a return, which was approved a couple of days later with an email stating that I would be responsible for choosing a courier, as well as paying for shipping and customs from the UK to China. No return label, nothing other than a bunch of policies protecting the company from liability. They also stated that there would be a restocking fee taken from the refund. When I calculated shipping and customs online, I found that this would cost £65 in total. It would cost £65 just to return a dress just because it didn't fit!? As I had hoped to just exchange it for a larger size, I would also have to once again pay for shipping on the new item. The whole thing is completely seedy and self-serving. So I am now left with the options of paying £65 I don't have spare to return the dress for about £45 back of what I had originally paid, paying this for an exchange, or just keeping a dress that doesn't fit me, having paid £110 for it.

some kind of scammers

some kind of scammers, i have ordered a present for my daughter's B-day well in advance to be safe. After a few weeks seller replied with the question to supply my full name, even though all info was provided over paypal checkout when order placed. Once i have gave it to them anyway waited another week with a request to provide me with the tracking number , but never had a reply back. I have raised the refund request via paypal.
