Good in principle, with a couple of major flaws
Bought a Mysoda Woody hoping to be environmentally friendly. In theory it's a great idea – a soda stream made from renewable wood composite. Unfortunately, in practice, and living outside of Finland, there are a number of major flaws to the idea – the first is that the co2 cylinders they use, although compatible with Sodastream, aren't able to be exchanged with the Sodastream cylinders. So although you get a cylinder 'for free' when buying, there's basically no way of exchanging at the lower cost – there's no active exchange in the UK. The second gripe, and this is much more annoying, is that, due to its design, the Woody can only be used with a plastic bottle rather than a glass bottle. The plastic bottles that Mysoda sends have an expiry date – after that they aren't usable any more. The bottle we were sent with our Mysoda Woody had an expiration date of one year after purchase. We would then have to buy two more bottles for £17.80 (17.90€ in the EU). This short expiration date on the bottle is a real swizz. I've not contacted the company to see if they can replace because I hadn't anticipated needing to replace the bottle so soon, and thus have deleted the email with the order confirmation.
I should say that this information about the bottle's expiration is now listed quite clearly on the company's website, but at the time we bought it this information was not clearly listed. Will be switching to Sodastream, which will allow for a glass bottle – never a need to change, and thus more environmentally friendly in the end. Unfortunate to say that the Woody will likely be sat in our local charity shop – a regrettable purchase.
