Absolutely horrible

Absolutely horrible. Wrong prescription... doc was very new and didn't know what she was doing. Used my Medicare Advantage benefit to purchase glasses... I still had to pay over $300 on top of Medicare Advantage vision benefit of $300 for very basic glasses. The frames and glasses are the cheapest quality. I order from Zenni online for 1/5th as much, and their glasses are wonderful... puts Nationwide glasses to shame. They are too tight at the temples yet slide down my face. Poor lenses and frames look like Dollar store frames, but not as good. I shall NEVER, EVER RETURN AND WASTE MY MONEY EVER AGAIN. I haven't worn these low-quality, inferior glasses even once... so sad!

last year I went to the Sierra vista location and got the eye exam plus a pair of glasses. first in the eye exam they only got one eye corrected. ordering the glasses seemed straight forward enough. three weeks later i was told the glasses had arrived. I paid an extra 40 dollars to have them overnight them to my house 40 miles away. i called them 4 days later and they had not even shipped them. it took another four days for them to arrive when I paid for overnight.
This year I went through them yet again. I had the eye exam and another pair of glasses ordered. I received the call last Monday that the glasses had arrived. I called and paid for them to ship them on Wednesday of last week. here it is a friday on the following week and they still haven't arrived. it is only 40 miles. I can't even tell if the prescription is right this time as I still don't have them.
if you use them don't expect them to keep any part of their word regarding customer service.
Update: The glasses arrive after I got my insurance company involved. 13 days to get glasses from 40 miles away. here it is the Saturday after I received said glasses writing this review. it too me this long to calm down enough to do said update. the screw for the right Lense was not put in correctly and left a gap in the frames. This makes the Lense wobble. I cannot trust anything about these glasses at this point and have already ordered some for another retailer.

JUST STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

Rotten nasty bunch of people

Rotten nasty bunch of people at the Nationwide Vision Center in Kingman, AZ at 3500 Stockton Hill Rd. I had an appointment scheduled for 9:30 this morning. When I got there they handed me a stack of papers and told me that I had to fill it out or they would send me a text with the link and I could do it on my phone. Why did they not send that link to me before my arrival time when I booked the appt, so that I could have had that done prior to the visit? It was closer to 10:00 than the 9:30 appointment time, when I was finally called in. Afterwards, I was asked if I wanted to buy a new pair of glasses and I told the clerk no unless you can compete with the prices at Zenni optical and I got a real snitty look and attitude when I said that. Later I sent my prescription over to Zenni to make my new glasses and it turns out that there was a missing PD value on the prescription so I called Nationwide and told them this and the gal on the phone, I believe her name was Agatha got totally snooty about it, told me I had to come back in to the store for the PD Value. Nationwide has done my exams for me for new glasses over a period of many years and has never left any part of the prescription off that would be required to make new glasses. I’ve also used Walmart optical center and their prescription always includes a PD value. Done with people in busdinesses like Nationwide who have such rude and nasty attitudes towards their customers. Turns out Jenny has its own PD calculator built into their website so I was able to get that done without having to go back to Nationwide. Dr. Frantsvog was very nice, as was the staff member who did the initial exam.

Bad customer service, lazy manager

The Glendale cactus road location manager is Drea.
I arrived for my appointment but it was the last appointment of the day 4pm. They close at 5pm. I arrived at 4, but Drea wouldn’t honor the appointment. Seemingly she wanted to go home early and said they didn’t have enough time to conduct the eye exam. So they set an appointment for 4, then if you don’t come early to allow the employees to leave early before close, they cancel your appointment. I rescheduled for today at noon. They texted and cancelled as they said the dr needs to leave early. Now in the rescheduled appointment, they are making me wait past the appointment time later than they were willing to wait. Drea has earlobes stretched to an obscene point, and I believe her appearance is on par with her lack of customer service and lazy behavior. She just wanted to leave early. Not do her job. Getting to the appointment I used an Uber from my sons school resulting in a $25 ride just to be refused so Drea didn’t have yo stay until closing at 5pm. People that don’t want to do their job, and with no customer service, should not be the store manager.

Beware

My first visit was great. Completely down hill from there. While the staff was super, the company customer service is the worst. After paying for my glasses, receiving them has been an awful nightmare. I would not recommend this company. I’m leaving a two star review only because the staff was friendly.
Update: I finally called my insurance company to be able to get through. They answered the phone for them. But when I got there to pick up the glasses, the friendly staff wasn't so friendly, in fact wanted to argue their position to me. I politely stated the damage had already been done. I wouldn't recommend them to my friends and family. Hopefully others will have a better experience then I did.
