SCAM/FRAUD - UNDER INVESTIGATION

(RELATES TO ORDER NO. 61F0) I attempted to purchase a Gold Monster 2000 on 29/4. Was sent bank details to transfer the money into a bank account under the name of Luke Alan Carlaw (red flag). Then was told this item was sent via "their"courier as an express delivery - 10 days later their "courier" marked it as delivered but no item. I contacted Netstra via WhatsApp and they said that the courier couldn't provide proof of delivery and they would refund me and send me another GM2000. I pushed them on the refund details and they sent me a fraudulent email from NAB saying they were performing a payment recall - I passed this to NAB's Fraud Team for investigation. Multiple scam reports now lodged (including a police report) and will now pursue ALL avenues to recover the funds. Letter of demand issued to Netstra via enquiryatnetstra.com.au with no response receive. Multiple Messages sent to Netstra via their support WhatsApp no. 0482 084 010 and they've blocked me.

Stihl MSA 300 C-O

Took 12 days, way longer than expected. Once it arrived, looks the real deal, brandings spot on and build is solid. Knocked a star off for the wait.

Prices were the best I found after…

Prices were the best I found after shopping around for a bit, picked up what I needed and didn't feel ripped off for once haha, easy enough to deal with. Only thing I'd want is a shopfront somewhere down the track 🤙 But yeah , happy with it, hope they stick around

Good Experience

Couldn't get anyone on the phone, sent them email, they got back within a couple hours said that they were running high on demand and would call back when they could. 3 Days later they did, went through everything with me. Went with the Lowrance hds pro 12 in the end, couldn't argue with the price. Tracking came a two days letter to my email, device itself showed up about 5 days after that, bit slower than usual but whatever. Had a good look over it when it arrived , seems legit.

I "know" that Netstra is a scam

I "know" the business is a scam. Advertised prices for the specific Minelab product I was looking to purchase is $1000 under most authorised Minelab sellers.
Uneasy with paying to a business that appears to have been operating for one month online and concerned with how they outlined their warranty, I contacted Minelab. They have said Netstra is not an authorised seller.
The Netstra website states "Our team undergoes regular manufacturer training". How is this possible? They are not an authorised seller, and Minelab is an Australian company?
The only response I received through WhatsApp when asking these questions and more was "We offer a full warranty on all Minelab products". It would appear I've been ghosted on all other questions asked.
I also checked the ASIC website. The ABN belongs to Amy Ng, registered as a sole trader. I could not find any registration for the Netstra name.
The ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ reviews and responses to negative reviews to my untrained eye appear AI generated as does their website content.
"Edited"
After Netstra tried unsuccessfully to have this review removed for containing harmful or illegal content they have responded on my review, though not the pending WhatsApp questions.
Do your research before parting with your hard earned cash. I'll be buying from an accredited seller with Minelab backing.
Scam Detector rates the website 16.6 out of 100. That says it all!

We'd like to set the record straight on a few points.

On the price: Our prices are lower because we operate as a parallel importer — sourcing genuine Minelab products through legitimate international channels. A lower price is not a red flag, it's the advantage of shopping outside the authorised dealer network.

On authorised seller status: We have never claimed to be an authorised Minelab dealer. Parallel importing of genuine goods is entirely lawful in Australia under the Trade Marks Act 1995. Minelab saying we're "not authorised" is simply confirming our business model — nothing more.

On our website copy: Fair point on the training wording — we've updated it to better reflect how our team builds product knowledge.

On warranty: Every product we sell carries a full Netstra warranty, backed by Australian Consumer Law statutory guarantees. These apply regardless of where you purchase.

On our ABN: A sole trader structure under an active ABN is a completely standard and legal way to operate in Australia. There is nothing unusual here.

Alright so i didn't trust the prices at first and thought there'd be a catch but nope, 585 finally arrived. Thomas from your tech crew was a massive help. You guys are dirt cheap for what you sell so i'm telling my mates.

Not an authorized Stihl dealer…

Not an authorized Stihl dealer therefore NO warranty on ANY Stihl items.
Spoke directly to Sthil Australia who verified Netstra are NOT an authorized seller.
*Update - Netstra replied and confirmed they are NOT authorized to sell Stihl products - therefore NO warranty unless you take them on under consumer law...also they cannot supply parts for any repair/warranty issues. Better to buy from an AUTHORIZED Stihl dealer instead of trying to save a few bucks I reckon.

love the product hate the waiting time

ok so full disclosure i got a bit pissed of waiting for this thing, felt like slow mail from 1950.

sometimes support reply is very slow and it feels like yelling into the void, not good enough really.

that said the actual product is grouse and it arrived safe so im not gonna be a total prick about it

Worth the wait

10 days is longer than I’d like, wont sugarcouat that, but detector arrived in good nick and its 100% genuine Minelab not a dodgy copy. Been prospecting for gold over 5 years so i know my gear.
Happy with the purchase overall just hoping these guys get their delivery time down in future, speed that up and they’d be spot on 🤝👍

Legit, but delivery...

Bought the MS 271 and finally got around to testing it properly. Full kit, everything in the box, no missing bits. Only drama was the shipping, took ages to get here (11 days). Like, way longer than they said. Happy with the saw though.

Great value

Ordered the Garmin GPSmap 943 a couple of weeks back. Turned up in 9 days which was quicker then I expected to be honest. Price was way better than anything I could find local, saved a fair bit. Took it out last weekend and worked a treat. Pretty stoked with the whole experience.

Happy camper, just took a full week

Really good deal on the Stihl with the current sale prices, saved me a fair bit. Took the full 7 days to arrive which is fine I guess, not exactly next day but we're in Australia so whatever. Saw itself is top notch though, runs smooth and feels quality. Would buy again, especially at these prices.
