Can't fault new world
Can't fault new world, slight technical hitch, but if they happen to find an engineer worth his metal he'll fix it. The last one told me to leave the oven door open if I want to cook on low.
A very big "Thank You" to Norman…
A very big "Thank You" to Norman following a protracted period of getting my oven hob in place. [Not down to New World]. When the oven was in situ I could not get it to work. Norman took all the details and then spoke me through the process patiently. He gave me a great deal of his time and it turned out the issue was not turning the timer switch to full!! The oven is of course, working properly. I really appreciated Norman's calm and throrough appraisal of the situation from afar. He never made me feel silly!!!
Well Done Norman & New World.

NEVER BUY A NEW WORLD COOKER!!!!
Never ever will I buy a New World product again.After only 14 months,our new oven/grill stopped working.We were told that to get it repaired,we would have to take out a monthly service plan,which we did,back in August.We are STILL waiting for our oven to be repaired,even though I am paying for the repair.I have called them so many times I have lost count.Despite repeated promises we are still waiting!! It looks like I shall be calling on Trading Standards now,because I am absolutely fed up with waiting!
The day after I posted this review,I was contacted by New World,who arranged for the engineer to come and repair it,which I am pleased to say they did,and it is working ok now - just a shame it took a review on here to get the matter settled.- The power of TrustPilot!!!!

excellent customer service from Rebecca as when our cooker was delivered there was a small scratch on the hob. I reported this to the shop where I had purchased this from on Thursday, received a call from Rebecca on Monday and the engineer Joe attended yesterday to replace the hob. This was exactly a week after I took delivery. WE are extremely pleased with our new cooker and would highly recommend this company

Small issue sorted quickly and professionally
Had to order a spare part but wrong part was sent I suspect due to miscommunication. However getting this sorted was really easy and a pleasure to deal with the company. The representative Mick Morris could not have been more helpful and everything was resolved quickly and easily. I would certainly have no hesitation with dealing with this company again.

Carbon Monoxide leakage and poor communication from New World about when they are replacing said cooker
Absolutely disgusted with the service my mum has received.
She bought a cooker in January and has now been disconnected by the local council for leaking carbon monoxide.
Someone was supposed to come out to have a look from New World on Tuesday to either service it or replace it. But did not turn up! no phone call nothing. My mum rang them on Wednesday to find out what happened and they said they couldn't find her block of flats. There are only 3 blocks of flats on her road! They then said they would try again yesterday. Again no phone call just didn't turn up, when she asked again they said they would definitely come today! Surprise surprise another no show. She called them this afternoon and they said that they now won't be with her until Monday.
It's now been almost a week without an oven! It wouldn't be so bad if the communication was there, if you can't get someone out just tell people.It's ok she has only been waiting in all week for a phantom to come to her home, not just that but carbon monoxide is no joke, just lucky she has 2 alarms in her home as we only realized when they started going off on Sunday!
Would never recommend this company to anyone!
NEW WORLD COOKER
I bought a New World gas cooker 2 years ago and I live on my own so it did not get much use.I have had a problem with the oven recently and the forums indicate it is in need of a new thermostat. My previous cookers have always been Zanussi and I had never had a problem with them I just changed as I moved into a new house and left the old cooker in my previous house.
New World want to charge me £108 just for the thermostat and then its £145 to £155 for their fitter to fit it. Thats around a minimum of £253 and the cooker only cost me just over £300 new, how on earth do they justify that? They say the work is guaranteed for 6 months but to me its daylight robbery. I have now ordered one of ebay new for half the price that New World want and I now have to find someone to fit it which is proving difficult. If you want my honest opinion you should stay well away from New World or Bellings who are the same company. They say we learn by our own mistakes and boy this is an expensive lesson to me.
