Product made installation much easier than old hard wire kit. But as wire comes from side if you have a shallow recess around the obd might not fit

Información del producto
The Nextbase OBD Power Cable offers a simple plug & play solution with a 5-metre cable to give you the ability to install the power cable in your vehicle to meet your needs.
By using your vehicles OBD port the Dash Cam will be connected to a permanent power supply ensuring the camera is not only recording while you’re driving but also can access the power in the event of a collision when your vehicle is parked. The OBD port eliminates the need to use the 12V outlet (car cigarette socket). It includes a 90° connector for an easier connection, as well as an LED indicator light to show when the Dash Cam is connected, and power is available. *Compatible with vehicles with an OBD port.
*5m cable length *Includes: 5V Mini USB power cable and ferrite core *NOTE - Intelligent Parking Mode must be enabled when the Dash Cam is powered using the Series 2 OBD Hardwire Kit.
(Will NOT work with Piqo. Find the Piqo Install Cable here. )

My ex30 doesn't have a cigarette socket (usb c only) so opted for OBD2 power. The installation is simple and powers the dashcam however. 1. The dashcam power is always live 12v. 2. Tried G force to trigger start and worked but not always. Some Footage not recorded. I have to power up and turn off dashcam each trip not great. Issues with dashcam well known so nextgear better act fast before brand is destroyed. Kit does simplify power from car but not the perfect solution unless software issues resolved

Unable to this product with the 322GW and rear view camera. The screen on the 322 freezes and requires the power disconnecting and rebooting whenever I drive my vehicle. I have reverted back to powering the 322 and rear view camera from the 12v power socket which means I cannot use the parking application. Very disappointed and frustrated.

I bought this kit to hardwire my dash camera. It was very easy to use and works well. I would recommend it.

Really good and the answer to not having a 12 volt socket at the front of the vehicle. The only improvement I could suggest (for an old guy like me) would be for an On/Off switch on the "live side" of the power unit to obviate the need to unplug and reconnect the plug ( when necessary ) to the OBD socket which is not in a very convenient position on most vehicles.
