Replacement rear view camera
Following problems with the rear view camera (approx. 3 years old) and contacting Nextbase their diagnosis of the problem was correct and the new camera works perfectly. Apparently rear view cameras fitted to hatchbacks can cause a problem since every time the 'boot lid' is opened the cable attached to the camera moves and eventually the connections to the camera becomes damaged. The solution is to make sure the cable is secured to the 'boot lid' frame so the any cable movement does not affect the cables connection to the camera.
It would be a good idea if instructions to this effect were included with the camera.

Decided to buy battery (£10) and fit myself instead of sending camera away (£30) to be done.
Okay to diy providing you have the necessary tools, a very steady hand and knowledge of soldering onto circuit boards. It is very straight forward to do though watch brief tutorial on you tube 1st.

Good service on part ordering
Easy to find and order the part on the website - arrived within 2-3 days. A shame that the part that held the dashcam to the windscreen only lasted 6 months and needed replacement.

Windscreen attachment pad
Disappointed that the windscreen attachment sticky pad lasted less than a year and the replacement is very expensive for what it is. Replacement arrived as promised and hopefully this one will last longer.

Purchased a front and back camera for…
Purchased a front and back camera for my Subaru Outback and 3 weeks later my car was totaled in a accident. I reached out to nextbase via email and within a reasonable amount of time, I was contacted by nextbase. They were sympathetic and allowed me the opportunity to purchase just what I needed to get my cameras back up and rolling. I was able to purchase just the rear camera mount and wiring for roughly $40. Had I not contacted nextbase, I would have had to purchase another rear camera, which comes with a wiring hand mount for $100. You guys and ladies are the best.

Nice to order just the part needed…
Nice to order just the part needed (suction cup) to repair the dashcam, rather than the much more expensive unit complete with Mag mount.
