Información sobre la empresa

  1. Proveedor de servicios de Internet

Escrito por la empresa

NiceNIC is an ICANN-accredited domain registrar providing domain services since 2006. As a registrar, our role is to manage domain registrations, support transfers, and follow ICANN and registry policies, especially in areas such as abuse handling and domain compliance. Domain-related services often involve multiple parties, such as registrars, hosting providers, website operators, and third-party reporters, and the differences between these roles are not always clear to customers. Some experiences described in reviews may involve website content, hosting environments, or server-side issues rather than the domain registration service itself. We continuously work to improve response times, clarify processes, and provide better support experiences for our customers. NiceNIC supports individuals, businesses, and resellers managing domains across 2,500+ extensions, with a focus on transparency, stability, and long-term domain ownership. If you have questions or need assistance, our team is always available to help.

Facilitating Narcotics Cartels & Phishing: Nicenic Fails to Act on DNS Abuse

Nicenic.net provides a safe haven for organized crime.

I am writing this review to warn the global internet community and security researchers about the systemic failure of Nicenic.net to mitigate high-harm DNS abuse. For several months, I have provided irrefutable evidence regarding a network of domains registered through Nicenic that are being used as automated gateways for an organized narcotics cartel.

The Modus Operandi:
These domains utilize sophisticated "cloaking" and conditional redirects to hide illicit narcotics storefronts and phishing nodes (credential harvesting) from automated scans. While they pretend to be legitimate, they are actually Command-and-Control (C2) nodes used for criminal trafficking and financial fraud.

The Failure of Nicenic Compliance:
Despite opening multiple abuse tickets (IDs: 507491, 507494, 507496, 507501) and providing technical logs of the redirect chains, Nicenic’s compliance team does absolutely nothing. They refuse to perform manual audits and instead act as a passive relay, simply forwarding the denials of the criminal registrants back to the reporter.

This "willful blindness" is a direct violation of the ICANN Registrar Accreditation Agreement (RAA) Section 3.18. By allowing these lethal narcotics marketplaces to remain active, Nicenic is complicit in the harm caused to public health and financial security.

A formal Contractual Compliance Complaint has been filed with ICANN to investigate Nicenic's accreditation status.

DO NOT TRUST THIS REGISTRAR. If you value network security and ethical business practices, stay away from Nicenic.net. They prioritize registrant fees over public safety and international law.

Hello Reid,

We would like to provide a further update in response to your review.

Following the reports you referenced, the domains associated with those cases have since been placed on hold.

We understand your concern that no action appeared to have been taken at the time of your reports. However, these domains have not been left in an unrestricted active state.

We also recognize that if this outcome was not clearly communicated, it can create the impression that reports were not acted upon. We are reviewing how we communicate case outcomes more transparently going forward.

Thank you again for raising these concerns.

I do not recommend registering a domain with this registrar.

I would like to warn other users about this registrar. I have repeatedly filed complaints about domains hosting illegal content, including offers for the sale of narcotics, prostitution services, and other illegal materials. However, the registrar completely ignores these complaints and takes no action to block such resources.
Such inaction and connivance at illegal activity demonstrates the company's extremely poor reputation and lack of responsibility for its responsibilities. I consider it unacceptable to work with a registrar that turns a blind eye to the use of its services to distribute prohibited content.
I strongly advise against registering domains with this registrar. Choose companies that are responsible in their approach to the law and the reputation of their clients.

Hello Mariah,

Thank you for sharing your concerns.

We would like to respond directly to the main point in your review. Reports involving domains allegedly linked to illegal content are not ignored. As a domain registrar, we are required to review the reported content, the evidence provided, the nature of the activity involved, and the applicable registrar and registry requirements before action can be taken on a domain.

We also want to clarify that each report should be assessed based on the overall evidence and context available at the time of review.

We understand that from the outside this process may appear slow or insufficient, especially if a reported website remains online during review. However, registrar-level actions must follow a defined review process and cannot always be immediate.

If you are willing, please send us the reported domain name(s), the dates of your submissions, and any abuse ticket or reference number you received, and we will arrange a fresh internal review of those cases.

Kind regards,
NiceNIC Team
