When I first reached out to slice, it was about cutting my time down in half and learning what I could do better. The time was taken to hear my story. And what I appreciated was being told "I hear what you're saying however, I don't think that this particular product is what you need."
What I needed was a mentor to help guide me to what my next steps were going to look like. I was at a turning point my career where I had to make really hard choices. it was time for me to close one chapter and start another.
I really wish I could remember the name of the woman who took my call because it's been a year and a half since and I jumped and never looked back. Thank you is not big enough statement.
There is a lot of accountability that you have to take for yourself in this program however, my mentors Tia and Randi have been absolutely incredible. Guiding me, showing up for me when I find days I can't show up for myself. I've been in the industry now for almost 15 years and there comes a time where you hit a ceiling and need to be surrounded by people who believe in growth, believe in you and can tell you if you're going in the wrong direction when you start to veer off the path.
I feel hair is much more personal than just numbers and can be so much draining emotionally. Not only will you learn business tools, but you will learn how to become emotionally intelligent even when you think you know. You will listen to these classes and if you take the time to just sit back and let yourself be vulnerable to The breath work, the introspective classes, and the personal development go hand-in-hand with the business and help teach you how to be emotionally and mentally strong to show up for your career and your self.
This is a core group of individuals that have come together to build other people up. When the tools they give you are utilized and tweaked to your individual personality and business, there is no stopping you. You have to be very active in this program because if you don't ask Questions no one knows that you need help. I had a problem and I was struggling really bad. The support I received not only from Randi, Alyssa,Jackie, and Kayla came to the table and I was heard and they all helped. People helping people is a POWERFUL thing. My struggles were almost breaking me, but I didn't know how to ask for help,in the days following me asking for help, there was an Out pouring of resources and conversations that turned everything around for me. I know my review is long winded, But I hope I'm conveying to you how important this community can be for you and your business. I started in November 2023- and I'm still active Feb 2025. This community has made all the difference.

SSC has changed my life! I got to work with Kayla S as my mentor and had Becca to recruit and explain to me all that goes into consulting. Kayla was the Positive voice on my right shoulder canceling out the negative self talk on my left. This process took me a really long time, and I didn’t make it through all of the videos and content.
I think because it was self-directed, 100%ADD and I’ve only ever done in person Education.
SS is a very impressive company to work with, they made it so easy to navigate, the content is so extensive and challenging, which is exactly what I needed in order to grow. I’ve been doing hair a super long time and I can honestly say that Kayla, Nikki and Alyssa helped me see a brighter future in this industry that I have continued to love so much.

These hair extensions are incredible and absolutely genius. Kayla kept me on track to keep practicing, she had constructive criticism, a lot of patience, and always believed in me. They have tried to cover every topic imaginable for our industry and then some, I was always impressed with the catalog of topics to choose from at any time.

I’ve been a stylist working on my own for 23 years. The marketing tools I used to grow my business 20+ years ago weren’t working for me anymore so my business became stagnant and wasn’t growing. Enter Slice Squad and Stephanie with their knowledge on how to grow a business in this modern world of social media etc. Stephanie has brought so many creative and innovative ideas to my business that I have been able to implement to grow, things I would never have thought of on my own. Stephanie brings a passion and empathy to the work she does and makes difficult things, like being consistent in marketing and social media, a little more palatable so that things can get done. I am moving out of town in a few months and will have to start my business anew from ground zero. When I sat in on a local class for Slice Squad I didn’t know what to expect. I had been following Nicki Wildflower for years. What I noticed was stylists that were already part of the program had a tribe feeling—like in a good way. You could feel something was going to happen. The chemistry was buzzing.

At the class another local salon owner and current consultant client with SSC told me to just do it. Do it and it’s life changing…and so we did.

Our business had hit a wall when we decided to take the leap and signed on. We were successful, but it wasn’t at its true potential.

Insert Stephanie—she is our amazing consultant. She has come up with some creative ideas we have implemented. We feel really supported by her and all the slice squad consultants. We get multiple weekly checkins that help keep us accountable.

When making really scary and hard changes she was there to assure us it will be ok. Growth is hard and painful sometimes. Oh man, did we feel that!

It takes WORK and a lot of commitment. Sometimes you don’t have the time to do the work, but you just do. You have to work ON your business and not always IN your business.

I highly recommend—but be prepared to do the WORK. Your personal and professional life will be better for it.

The Biz and Breath work retreat was very unique. I didn't know what to expect, but knowing Jackie and Delora I trusted them and was ready foe whatever they brought. It had a somewhat of a yoga type feel, but since I never been to a yoga class I can't give true know how on that topic. However, the guided breathing was sooo different. I'm my head I kept thinking this isn't working, but I actual got so calm I fell asleep! Usually when I sleep I dream and they are extremely vivid dreams and I remember everything! This time I dreamt, but couldn't remember anything. Which was a good thing because once we started on the business side of stuff that had cleared my brain to do some really clear thinking and I knew exactly what I needed to do business wise and completed and business and personal plan within minutes that I had been struggling to even put into words with my consultant. I was completely shocked at how well this retreat left me feeling. I was energized and refreshed and ready to go. Since the retreat I just keep focusing on my plan each day and getting even closer to each goal I created. I highly recommend this if you are unfocused or struggling to keep a clear focus on yourself and your goals.

I want to give a huge shout out to Becca Don! She first talked with me a year ago about consulting and it wasn’t the right timing for me. Fast forward to now I was interested in slice strands and she went above and beyond to make sure we got the call together. She made me feel so comfortable and not rushed nor forced to make any decisions. Any time I reach out to Becca she responds quickly and efficiently with the information needed to move forward. She’s a gem and I feel truly blessed to have her on my side of this journey!
