I did have a nice time

I did have a nice time, however, it was quite busy in the steam room and sauna so not relaxing at all. We didn't use the hydro pool for this reason too. We were able to find loungers easily enough though.

I am disappointed with the prices on the dinner menu. The buffet salad was always my favourite but now this is so expensive £19ish and now limited to 2 plates, I don't like feeling I have to pile my plate high I'd rather pick a few little bits a few times. It's really not worth it anymore.

There wasn't really anything else I wanted on the menu so I just went with a couple of starters/sides.

Overall a little disappointed, I've been a member for over 12 years and I've always enjoyed my time at the spa but lately I'm starting to wonder if it's worth it anymore.

A wonderful place, worth every penny

I booked an evening retreat and facial so that I could have some me time. What a wonderful place. There is so much to do that I need to go back to experience everything. The staff are wonderful. I had just the best, most calming evening.
I've only marked down as the changing rooms are cramped with no privacy, and I had to share with a group of tipsy ladies swearing and generally being really loud as they got changed. Then, of course, I had to queue to leave. This is not a reflection of the staff, but that everyone wanted to stay until the end. Surely with the charge cards that are issued an automated system of payment would be possible.
Overall though, what an amazing place, I am going to book for the entire day next time. So wonderful.

A fab day

Staff were enthusiastic and friendly throughout the day. The spa was clean and well maintained and plenty of places to sit. All in all a fab day.

A very Unpleasant reception staff

Spa facilities were good but treatments not great and receptionist very rude when I questioned being overcharged

On arrival we were informed that they do not serve breakfast, although at the time of booking when I had queried I was told that it was fine. Anyway, the very friendly canteen staff kindly accommodated my friends and I and we are very appreciative of that.
The facilities are lovely, can’t fault the decor. However the treatments we had (soothing oil massage ) were not to a standard that I would have expected from a spa. The time was cut short and the actual massage was just a waste of time and money - was disappointed to say the least but maybe my friends and my expectations are too high as we get massages done on a regular basis elsewhere. The showers were a complete disaster, extremely small cubicle and the water had no pressure and was luke warm. We did go on and use the rest of the facilities as the ambience in the pool area is nice so we just sat and chatted. But undoubtedly. it left us with a bad taste as furthermore at checkout the receptionist was quite abrupt and rushed to settle the bill. The bill was wrong and I tried to question it but she was just plain rude! In the end we had to wait around for a refund as we had been overcharged, only because she was not courteous to listen at the start of our checkout! It’s a real shame that one member of staff has made us feel that leaving this feedback is important for others to know.
I will hopefully try the spa facilities again as I cannot fault the rest of the staff in the canteen at all, they were fabulous.

Staff training needed

Dinner was 1hr late after starters. The starter was also late. The food needs to be improved & choice is limited. Staff attitude & tone on serving after 9.30 pm was shameful, basically stating kitchen is closing we are putting food away , rambling as fast as he can on types of coffee available. Other areas after 10.00 just want to close so by having a late dinner due to waiting we missed 1 area which was extreme disappointing.

Big and busy but still good

It's a little bigger and busier than I would like, but the facilities were spotless, the staff were all great and I had a good day. Excellent Swedish massage and I really enjoyed the Celestial Floatation, it was very relaxing.

If you’ve booked a day spa experience, ask to book breakfast!

We had booked for a spa day and were having a really relaxing time until a member of staff came over and told us off for eating a packet of crisps that we had brought with us. It hadn’t been made clear during the booking process that you weren’t allowed to bring any snacks not purchased on site, or even that you could book to have breakfast (as going from 8am to 10pm with only one meal is a bit of a stretch). I knew there were cakes available to buy but the savoury snack selection is pretty poor, which is why we had opted to bring a bag of crisps. We felt embarrassed at being told off and wish it had been made clearer that we were not allowed to do that, otherwise we wouldn’t have dared! I think Nirvana spa needs to look at better provision of food (and at more affordable prices), particularly for those day spa guests who are there for a long period of time.

Beautiful spa but lots of waiting

Beautiful spa. Awful booking system …. Takes at least 45 minutes everytime you call. Treatments are very scarce. I booked weeks in advance and could not get any treatment over 20 minutes. Pools etc lovely. What was frustrating was queuing…. To get in, for coffee, to change wet towels, for lunch. There was very few staff.

Great Spa , awful booking system

The Spa is amazing 5 stars , excellent facilities and food , only negative was the showers in the changing room they were Luke warm and weak so we went back to our hotel and had a shower .
The booking system however is a nightmare 1 star . We didn't get a confirmation email after booking over the phone 40 mins, and trying to get though to check all was ok was a 55 mins wait !
Customer service and booking system really needs looking at .

Great surroundings

Great surroundings, lots to do.
The only negatives were we were not advised to book a table for lunch and the changing rooms were cold.
