We are very pleased with the design work carried out by Northumbria Kitchens, who designed the Kitchen with great care and showed great initiative. The work carried out was fairly complex and was manufactured by a company which had been established for quite some time. I was able to visit the manufacturer during the process which was very thoughtful. I must say the design and completed Kitchen fitted to the millimetre. The design took the form of a modern ornate solid oak Kitchen with Brazilian Granite tops.
Very pleased all around.

We couldn’t have been happier with the quality of service and support from Northumbria Kitchens. Vivian went out of her way to source the products we needed and because if her sources and links to companies was able to provide these significantly cheaper than we would have done had we gone elsewhere. Hence the effort with a detailed review. We took time to check the product codes together to make double sure we were on the same page which we do whenever we order costly items. Her advice was invaluable too ensuring we got the right products to suit our kitchen style and function and I am so grateful for this - the colours/combinations she suggested were so much better than my original ideas. She really knows what she’s talking about after years designing kitchens. Added to this she was proactive, responsive and able to get what we needed faster than anticipated. She took considerable trouble to make sure everything got to us on time for the fitting despite relatively short notice from our side - even delivering some products personally.
I must admit there was one negative review that gave us pause for thought before we went with Northumbria Kitchens but I am glad we trusted our own judgement and all the other positive reviews. I would genuinely recommend this company to anyone and can only assume this negative review was an aberration.

I had a fantastic experience at Northumbria Kitchens! They have a lovely showroom that is well worth a visit if you need inspiration, and Kirkharle Courtyard itself is a great spot, too. We just needed a standalone unit rather than a full fitted kitchen. The staff were very friendly and genuinely happy to help. We were spoilt for choice and given great advice on what would work best with our current kitchen. We are very happy with the piece, it's beautifully crafted. A great local business!

This company has caused us months of unnecessary stress. We felt pressured to pay a deposit early on or risk losing the discounted prices on offer. Going forward it became clear that the original agreement could not be fulfilled, so the owner then offered us the chance to cancel & said she would provide us with a full refund. That refund never materialised and we had to seek the help of our bank to retrieve our money.
No explanation was ever provided by Northumbria Kitchens, meanwhile we have endured months of uncertainty and worry as to whether we would see our hard earned money again.

In response to your reply: To clarify, our bank managed to retrieve part of our deposit from you in Nov 25. The remaining part was paid to us in Jan 26 by way of compensation from our bank as they advised us they too had received no response from your company. Think it is perfectly obvious why we accepted your fictitious offer of a full refund back in Aug 25.

Kitchen is lovely now that it is finally finished. Units are solid. Very good quality wooden kitchen and worktop. Lovely colour. We did have some issues with manufacturing faults which took several months to sort out although Vivian did her best to push things forward. We also had a few issues with fitting, with worktop oil staining the splashback and sink. Vivian did replace the sink with a better quality one which we are very happy with. Overall a quality kitchen, it just took a while to get there.

I absolutely love my new kitchen from Northumbria Kitchens. Viviene is very knowledgable and comes up with great ideas and the kitchen is top quality. We feel Viviene did her very best for us.

We discovered Northumbria Kitchens on a visit to Kirkharle and were impressed by the quality of the kitchens. We had been thinking of a new kitchen for some time and arranged for Vivienne to come for a home visit. She was full of ideas, suggestions and solutions to problems with layout.
It took a few weeks for work to begin but Joe, our fitter, was always on time, diligent and a pleasure to have around. Vivienne kept her finger on the pulse and did a few home visits to make sure we were happy and to answer any questions that arose. We did experience a couple of delays but this was down to the supplier and Vivienne was soon on to them. She expected nothing less than perfection.
The experience on the whole was very positive and we are delighted with our new kitchen. We feel confident that in the unlikely event that any problems should arise, then we could call on Vivienne for support.

So thrilled with our new kitchen. Vivian was available throughout our project to help with the design and advise on installation. She came to visit us at home on multiple occasions to work out the best use of our space and had great ideas. They have a huge range of products and in lovely colours. Everything is great quality and easy to use.

Vivian and her team helped me attentively through all the stages of my first ever kitchen refit. The design was just right, incorporating my requests and additional good ideas from Vivian, but no pressure to have things I didn't need. My main priority was quality units and worktops, and they are lovely. The fitters David and Russell worked tirelessly until everything was just so, solving any minor problems my old house posed. The electrician sent was quick and efficient. A couple of supply issues were promptly rectified, and Vivian and Vanessa kept in close touch, prompting me what to do when, and in what order. The process was longer than I expected in my ignorance, but the end result is fabulous.

There is an old saying about the proof of the pudding… My wife said I should wait until I had tasted the proof before I wrote the review. I have to say – delicious!

Vivian has been so flexible and helpful over the period and has kept in touch throughout. She visited us on several occasions to confirm measurements as the building work progressed, and tweaked plans to accommodate changes and has been really flexible when the schedule changed.
It has taken a while to get to our finished kitchen, because of the scale of the building work we had to do, but it has been worth the wait. Over the 9 months it has taken, at times I felt like giving up, but every time I did, Vivian was there with encouragement and a friendly ‘it will be worth it in the end’, and she was right. From the initial meeting to the final fit, Vivian has done all she could to provide us the best kitchen she could for the budget we had. Her drive and passion to get things just so is fabulous, and combined with Joe, who spent time and effort to make things perfect when it came to fitting, it’s not surprising the end result is as good as it is.

Vivian has provided us with a beautiful, stylish, very special kitchen. Her knowledge and expertise were invaluable. Vivian went out of her way to make the experience as painless as possible, and was on-hand when adjustments needed to be made. We felt confident in her ability and trusted her the whole way. Our kitchen project was big, but she remained calm and made sure the deadline was met. With the inevitable post installation teething issues, Vivian was flexible, on the ball and wasn't happy until everything was finished. She made several on-site visits in person. Vivian's joiner, Joe was extremely pleasant, conscientious and skilled. We would have no hesitation in recommending the Northumbria Kitchens team.

We chose Northumbria Kitchens because they were the only company in the area who were prepared to supply and fit a single unit to match an existing kitchen.
Most kitchen companies will only want to fit complete kitchens.
Vivian is a lovely person who wants to do her best. In this case the job took longer than expected due to illness and family issues. Patience was definitely required in our case!
The unit was an almost perfect match although there were no holes in the sides of the unit to adjust the shelves. This issue has been discussed and is to be resolved. The fitters took their time to fit the unit but when they left it was noticed that only four shelves had been installed when five had been ordered. This issue is promised to be rectified. When the fitters left they had to leave the unused materials which have been lying around in the porch and hallway awaiting removal.
The back of the unit is flexible hardboard and not solid. There must have been a reason for this.
All in all not a bad job given the constraints of the location of the unit (boiler chimney, pipework etc.).
Further update will be provided when the issues have been resolved.

One month later:
Issues all resolved. Excess material removed and extra shelf fitted.

This unit is an excellent match for the existing units.

Created a fantastic kitchen that works so well with the space and for my specific needs. Very high quality kitchen and the service was perfect. I was able to get my exact colour palate mix and special size units designed specifically for me. Would recommend.

We chose Northumbria Kitchens after reviewing a lot of companies and initially looking at their range online. A visit to the showroom indicated that the actual product was well suited to our home and needs and the quality was also at a high level.

The fitter/installer delivered a superb end result with a meticulous attention to detail that has resulted in a kitchen which far exceeded our initial hopes and expectations
