We had a very smooth experience of the Grant of Probate process, Iram communicated well at each stage, communicating with more than 1 executor. We gained the grant in good time and the cost was reasonable.

Totally painless conveyancing for a first time buyer

OCG Legal did the conveyancing for my partner and I buying our first home together. They also handled the sale of my leasehold flat. Throughout the process they were extremely professional and ensured everything went smoothly. Whilst I have worked with the company before so may be slightly biased(!), I have also recommended them to all of my family and friends who have always been exceptionally positive about the team. Our experience with OCG Legal has been extremely disappointing. Communication was consistently poor throughout the entire process. I had to chase multiple times via email, often with no response. I went back through my records and was shocked at how many follow-up emails I had to send just to get a basic reply.

It got to the point where we had to start calling their office directly because emails were being completely ignored. Even a simple acknowledgment when there was no update would have gone a long way — but we didn’t even get that.

Midway through the process, we seriously considered switching to another firm due to how unreliable they were. The only reason we didn’t was because we had already paid some money and didn’t want to lose that investment.

Even after the mortgage process was complete, I reached out two weeks ago for a simple follow-up item. I’ve since sent another email with still no response. It’s clear their poor communication isn’t just a one-off — it’s the norm.

I would strongly advise others to think twice before using OCG Legal. Based on our experience, they are unresponsive, unreliable, and difficult to work with.

This company is run by OCG Accountants.
They will offer a solution and take your money and then never reply to letters and the switch board will not forward any calls. Avoid this company at all costs
