The OET exam is a scam; they are luring money from candidates to redo the exam or re-evaluate it. This company should be legally challenged for its awful money laundering activities. Their customer service is pathetic, and replies very late.

I attended the paper-based OET at MTS Manchester Connell college UK .

I would like to raise a concern regarding the Listening,reading and writing administration. The audio was played over speakers for all candidates at once, without individual headphones. It’s look like a college life internal exam scenario setup. This setup created several challenges:
1. The room was large,more than 15-20 candidate in single room ,sitting in a desk and chair with only 3-7 cm distance and the audio was not clear in some areas.
2. Background noises (paper rustling, coughing, and other candidates’ movements) were distracting.
3. It was difficult to focus on the Listening test other test compared to a standard setup with headphones, which I believe impacted my performance.

I kindly request that this issue be investigated and that consideration is given to improving test conditions for future candidates. I would appreciate your guidance on whether alternative arrangements are available if I need to retake the test.

OET is unreliable and stressful. Technical problems, late examiners and delay results. In addition, the customer service is ridiculous, unhelpful and slow.

Man OET is just unbelievable. I passed all my subtest except Reading, so I paid for a remark. After the remark they told me I passed Reading too. I was happy for a bit… then boom, they changed it back saying it was some “system glitch.” Like wtf? How can a exam body make mistakes like that, this is people’s future we talking about.

It feels like they just play around with results however they want. So unprofessional.....Whole thing is a mess, seriously.

My friend recently got her OET results. she got 400+ in everything except reading!!!!!!. Same thing happened with me two years ago; they always keep one station below 350 so that you have to retake exam and give them another opportunity to loot your pocket!!

OET is just business oriented organization...NOT fairness in providing any feedback, just acting as a STUPID ARROGANT organization. I highly recommend to take any other equivalent English Proficiency Test instead of this kind of joke exam. I passed it, however Speaking part was such a challenge since the interlocutor was an Asian lady with an extremely strong accent that caused me an intense anxiety during the all exam. Just to quote someone commenting about his experience with OET: "...this exam is a complete bullshit!"

I am absolutely furious about the disgraceful treatment I received during my exams. To start, the examiner arrived **10 minutes late** and then spent the entire time complaining about everything imaginable—first claiming they couldn’t see me, then that they couldn’t hear me, and on top of that, they had the audacity to demand a full tour of my house instead of just the designated exam area! After **30 minutes of pointless arguing**, I had no choice but to end the Zoom meeting myself. This was beyond unprofessional—it was outright disrespectful.

And that wasn’t even the only issue. During the **reading, listening, and writing** portions of the exam, the headset they provided **didn’t work**, causing me to miss the first three questions. I immediately emailed them afterward, and what did I get? **Radio silence.** No response, no accountability—nothing.

Then, as if that wasn’t bad enough, they **rescheduled my speaking exam at the 10 PM!!!!!!! On a Saturday?!?!?!?!!?** .....without any consideration for my time.

This entire experience has been a **complete joke**. I demand an explanation, a proper resolution, and **actual professionalism** moving forward.

The worst experience, even they are not familiar with the roles. The customer service disaster.

Worst customer care no any benefits from them
Rescheduled my booking cause the woman taking my exam came late to the meeting had to pay 100$ technical issues they said and had to wait for the next week to get a spot
I don’t recommend taking this test whatsoever

Absolut SCAM.
1- Results are not released 10 days after taking the test, maybe 20 or 30. LIARS
2- I had to pay 100$ extra for my speaking test because the interlocutor "didn't see my ID expiration date". (Note: In order to even take the test they check that your ID does not expire before the test, otherwise you are not elegible to book it. That means that checking expiration date is a synonym for incompetent organization).
3- Interlocutors at the speaking part highly lack of basic science knowledge AND motivation, so trying your best to conduct a good doctor-patient interview (I took OET medicine) in 5 minutes is simply stupid.

I strongly encourage to look for other options, they will not hesitate to scam you.

Don’t take the OET, go for IELTS instead
Way too long to get the results and the slots for the speaking part in Europe are between 1 AM and 4 AM !!!!
Who takes a test at these ridiculous hours ??? For 350 pounds !!!!!

results take at least 90 days to release although on the website it says 10 business days!!

This company is extremely fraudulent and we highly advise you to go with the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test instead.
