I visited the Penrith store on Tuesday, 24 June, and was quoted a sale price of $747 on a laptop as part of their EOFY promotion. The staff member confirmed this price would remain valid until 30 June.
When I returned on Thursday, 26 June, the same laptop was priced at $797. Unable to locate assistance in-store, I contacted them online regarding the price discrepancy. Their response indicated they would not honour the previously quoted price, with a consultant claiming this “couldn’t” be done. Of course it could be done - they’re just unwilling to stand behind what their own staff promised.
As a repeat customer over several years, I found this lack of follow-through on their staff’s commitment disappointing. The dismissive response to a legitimate pricing concern suggests poor internal communication and customer service standards that don’t align with the loyalty I’ve shown this business.

Huge shout out to Ashanti for stepping out of her comfort zone to offer help on a new product that hadn't fully rolled out in store. You were so helpful, kind and patient with my questions and went above and beyond to make sure I was kept updated as you gathered the items I was looking for, from stock that was still being processed for store display.
Also, Gearom gave me important information I'd missed about an upgraded product I wasn't sure of and gave me the word on different choices and their features, for what I said I needed.
Thanks to you both for your awesome, respectful, informed and very personalized service, on a rare big investment for me.

No Customer Service Warranty Claim

Abosulte no customer service call the store and its ring a ring a rosie. Had a laptop in for a warranty repair they had it for almost 4 weeks. No updates had to go to the store and they already had received the laptop back. No service docket repair details either. Rather than fix the issue which i provided details of they wiped my PC. Luckily i had this backed up i took the repaired laptop to my IT person he could not refresh my laptop and identified a failed SDD that i now have to pay for. I cannot talk to anyone directly about this at office works and have to go down to their store. What a farce

Officeworks delivery delayed - where is my parcel? Do you even know?

What a fantastic lack of service!!!! You should be ashamed.
1 - ordered two pull up banners from Officeworks on Jun 12th, after paying and confirming my order, I received an email letting me know that my banners would be delivered on June 19th...
2 - June 19: I wait and receive nothing. I call Officeworks and there an employee tells me, "oh no, these take at least 7 to 10 days", your package will be delivered on Tuesday next week (24th) - today
3- Today - still waiting but it seems that the packages have been sent (somewhere) for shipping to me on the 20th June (yes, that is one day after the day they were supposed to be delivered). I called Officeworks to check: "oh no Sir, you have to call Team Global Express and I called them and... guess what: "oh no, you have to call Officeworks" .
4 - Results: very bad impression from two companies I will never use again and wasted money since I will probably not get the banners on time! Thank you for nothing Officeworks

Lack of quality

Bought a bookcase and put it together , the quality was horrendous , and the chipboard was woeful , whole bookcase was so flimsy it couldn’t hold many books And started to seperate , only good for landfill , disappointed and will never use or recommend Officeworks

I had a really good experience at Officeworks Garden city / mount gravatt. Kira who helped me with printers cables and ink was amazing.. highly rate this man ! Outstanding . 😊 it’s been a long time since I’ve had this level of service in a store .

Such bad click and collect service

Such bad click and collect service. The point of click and collect is to order your items to save time and have them available at the store to collect. I ordered a day ahead arrived the following day after receiving my email my order was ready. Only to find only one part of the order was there and the other part integral to the operation of the first part was not there. I was then told they cannot refund it credit or return the item due to not being there and I had to pay more money to buy an alternative item as I needed on that day. It gets worse! To get a refund or credit I the customer have to ring their 1300 number to get things sorted and as its a weekend I have to wait until Monday! Seriously bad customer experience!! Office works needs to take some trainng on CX from Bunnings! Get it together guys! Its the 21st century and you're still not up with the CX game!

Love Officeworks!

The Officeworks rating should be higher!! I've ordered from Officeworks a few times when I haven't had the time to visit in-store. The delivery is so fast and accurate - you can even select your own delivery dates.

On the few occasions that I've had an issue with an item, Officeworks has always been so quick to fully resolve the issue. I really appreciate the customer service from Officeworks.

I needed to call a store near me… what a joke

I needed to call a store near me (actually I ended up calling THREE!!!) and every single one of them no longer answer the phone - they all tell you to go on line and talk to their chat bots....
I was trying to call to find out if they stocked a particular item (eg. refurbished mobile phones !!!) but their message told me to "visit the store". Well guess what - you can stick it where the sun doesn't shine and I'll take my business to JB Hi Fi who do include this info on their website.... you started out as a legit business - and progressively have ended up as one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever encountered....

Do not get items delivered

Laptop has gone missing, no meaningful tracking info available and no idea when actual delivery will be made. Hard to comprehend this poor service from a company as big as Officeworks.

Cheaper to go to Ink Station

Office works sells Cannon pack of 5 printers for cli-681 for $200. A differnt pack with same products from Ink Station costs $113 delivered. Yes different packs but the same products inside.

Bad Customer service

Dear Officeworks Team,
I am writing to express my disappointment and distress following a recent experience at your Keysborough store.
On Saturday, 12/04/25, my pet greyhound sadly passed away. A close friend kindly had a framed picture made for me at Officeworks Keysborough, completed at 11:27 AM on the same day (please see attached receipt).
On Sunday 20/04/25, we noticed that the picture inside the frame had shifted and dropped down. By the following day, 21/04/25, it had moved even further. We attempted to open the back of the frame to adjust it, but found it very difficult and were concerned we might damage it.
As you can imagine, the loss of our pet has been deeply painful. Seeing her picture like this, out of place and poorly presented, has added to our emotional distress.
On Monday evening, 22/04/25 at around 6:30 PM, I brought the framed picture back to the Keysborough store for assistance. I explained the situation to a staff member named Poppy, including the sentimental value of the picture and our difficulty with opening the frame.
Unfortunately, the response I received was quite upsetting. Poppy told me I could have fixed it myself.

She then fixed it and when returning it to me she suggested I use a card to open the frame.

I explained that if I had been able to do so, I would have — but that the emotional weight of the situation made it particularly difficult for me.
Her comment came across as insensitive and dismissive, especially given the circumstances. It also seemed she was implying that the issue was my fault. Given that this frame was put together by your team, I believe it should have been secured properly from the start.
I was not expecting to be made to feel worse during an already difficult time. A little more empathy and understanding would have gone a long way.
I hope you will look into this matter and consider providing further training around handling sensitive customer situations.

The picture in the frame holds great sentimental value for me.
. I am seeking an apology for the way I was treated, as well as assurance that measures will be taken to improve staff training and customer service in the future. I hope to see a commitment to better service so that no other customer has to experience what I did. I look forward to your prompt response regarding this matter.

Do not buy Lenovo products from Officeworks

Purchased Lenovo laptop for my daughters school use, which promptly broke. Lenovo refused to repair it under warranty, andd asked me to do troubleshooting, which did not work. Officeworks call centre (on two separate phone calls) informed me that I could return broken laptop to any officeworks store for a refund. When I returned it to the store, they told me that this was incorrect, and they couldn't refund the laptop, and they would need to send it to Lenovo for a warranty repair. This was weeks ago and Lenovo have still not picked up the computer, and had told Officeworks that I may have to pay an assessment fee when they do. The store manager has been very nice and is keeping me updated, but this really should have been repaired or refunded. As it is, we paid $700 for something which has not worked, and my daughter is trying to do school without a computer. I recommend not buying tech through Officeworks, and not buying Lenovo tech at all. Be aware that neither Officeworks nor Lenovo will honour a warranty.

I purchased the wrong printer ink…

I purchased the wrong printer ink replacement pack from the Elsternwick store today. My mistake plus, I opened one of the four cartridges before realising my error. I revisited the store two or three hours later.
The helpful young sales clerk had to check with his manager before he approved exchange. Great service guys.

As someone who was wary about buying…

As someone who was wary about buying software online, I’m so glad I found Office-365. The Mac Office license I purchased was delivered promptly, and the activation was a breeze. The support team reassured me throughout, making this one of the best customer experiences I’ve had in years.

Bailey in Traralgon store was very helpful guiding me with printing photos off my phone. I had printed before without assistance on my old phone but today I couldn’t print from a new phone until he helped me. Great service from all staff once again.

Great followup service

Found what I needed and was helped by a super friendly staff . . .
Lost my receipt and their after sales service provided me with an e-mail copy within hours of asking.
No-one is perfect but the staff at Taree are just great and highly recommended
