A SCAM!
please be aware. I used a free barcode scanner to set up my new tv account and channels and within a few days received an email from a company saying thanks for staying with us! I had no idea of what or who they were then noticed a pending bank payment of £40.56. Rang my bank to report this and stop payment only to be told bank cannot do this but to phone scam company to request refund and stop this unwanted subscription. Unable to speak to the company direct an automated voice message advised me to email which I did. Soon after the money was taken, I again tried making contact via telephone, same automated message saying to email which I did demanding they cancel any subscription and request a refund.
The following day I received another email saying sorry your leaving then had a pending transaction for £132.57 for cancel subscriptions. I have now had the £132.57 refunded, not without constantly phoning bank, providing evidence including your reviews of being scammed. I've been consumed with stress, tears, and my time spent searching info on this vile company. Be careful of barcode scanners who hide fraudulent sites and pop ups where you will become another scam victim.

SCAM COMPANY. TOOK £40.56 FOR SOMETHING I DIDN'T ASK OR SIGN UP FOR. LUCKILY I SPOTTED IT QUICKLY AND WAS ABLE TO STOP THE PAYMENT GOING THROUGH. AND BLOCKED FOR ANY FUTURE ATTEMPTS TO FRAUDULENTLY TAKE MONEY. IT HAS TRANSPIRED THAT THIS SCAM IS LINKED TO ME USING A QR SCAN AP.

Please read this in conjunction with my previous post of a few days ago.
Having had to have a new card issued from my bank due to the original scam date, they have managed to try to take money again from my new card! (only activated one day ago). The fraud department at the bank said that these companies can-unbelievably;
request from Mastercard the new card details in order to overcome the rising popularity in subscribing for free, then cancelling before the payment date starts!
The bank seems to think it was this, or Google Pay linked to phone.
The revelations for me are;
1. The system is broken if Third Parties can request new card details from Mastercard.
2. Free subscription periods may not be free.
3. Google encryption services/banks need to liaise with each other to close loopholes in the net.
4. The seamless integration of scams into apps is becoming harder to spot.
Just get your bank to remove your Google Pay "digital signature" in this scammers case at least.

As everyone else says, my wife's card had to be cancelled after Nationwide blocked a payment to these fraudsters - always seems to be £40.56!

I was taking out insurance with Marshmellow on their app. When something else appeared on my screen, nothing to do with my insurance, I got rid of it. Later on, I was checking my emails, and I received this!

SCAM company, deceptive practices

Like others have said, this company signed me onto an auto-subscription for a "service" with games, but did so using deceptive practices. The games and shows available on their service are very poor quality, a clear front to make this scam technically provide some service.

I was tricked into signing up. After I scanned a QR code to order a taxi, QR hijacked the code and sent an email to my spam folder telling me I had 7 days to cancel their service, but I never saw the email as it was sent to spam. I had entered my credit card info thinking it was for the taxi company. But the taxi never came. A week later after the email I never saw, they charged me 40£. I called the company to ask for a refund as I never agreed to anything. They refused to refund.

spoke to a chap called Abdul, he could not issue a
refund because the service has been used, but could not provide details of when or what was used, not helpful at all ! send an e-mail, was all he said ! I sent an e-mail on the 7/5/25, the reply will not be favourable, im guessing ? They did send me an e-mail telling me of my free trial, but it was in the spam folder, have every one out there had a e mail from them in the spam section, can e-mail be sent deliberately to spam ?

Company attempted to take 2 x £40.56…

Company attempted to take 2 x £40.56 from my account. Fortunately my bank suspected the transactions were not legit and i was able to stop. Changed my card etc and today the Company has attempted to take funds again! Please beware!

Hidden subscription in app

Two days ago I was activating an app for 'finding my keys' fob. Today Barclays contacted me to let me know a debit card transaction for £40.56 had been declined. This tells me the bank knows about these fraudulent charges and about the company as there was sufficient funds to pay it. Well done to Barclays fraud team!

Smelly little t*ats took £40 from my account, Halifax have advised they cannot refund the balance as it's not a fraudulent company. I'd consider it fraud when I haven't authorised the transaction? Wouldn't you?

This company has also scammed me just popped up on my account Ok 24 care . COM Brockenhurst £47-70 phoned fraud straight away payment still pending and they blocked but won't refund cos I have email in spam I have to go to dispute team with now called a scam and had to cancel my card I feel like I am the one being penalised and they're left unacountable for theft and extortion
