Scam alert.
Be aware you'll be quoted one price by the van driver and then told its a higher price when you get to the office. I advise avoiding this company or at minimum lock in a price with the office, preferably in writing, before being taken to the office. The driver was insistent it was an innocent mistake because she was hard of hearing. Make of that what you will.

The reservation process was simple, pick up at Picton was terrific and the drop off service at Christchurch was spot on.
The car (Toyota Yaris) was ideal for the two of us. Comfortable and economical.
Would recommend Omega to anyone travelling to N.Z. The rates are the best we have used and a lot cheaper than an Australian competitor.

They sent timely reminders and follow ups even when I had difficulty in responding they (Margaret) took the time and effort to ensure that the transaction and hand over of the vehicle was completed.
She went above and beyond which helped to make the trip to New Zealand all the more memorable.

A lot of the car rental companies could take a lesson from Omega @ Picton; the pick up experience and return is fantastic, quick, smooth and completed by friendly people. And to boot the rates that Omega offers for cars (while not always the newest) are fantastic; reliable cars at a good price!
