Warranty is crap, product will break

I bought 2 GT’s for my kids for Christmas. The first board wouldn’t engage, we had to send the foot sensor in, which they replaced, other than the shipping costs because apparently nothing was wrong but yet it worked when they sent it back. Our second board quit working about 5 months in. Had to ship the whole board in, they claim water damage has ruined the motor and something else. They claim these boards are for all terrain and water resistant. My son has only ridden it once in a mild rain storm. They sent me a bill for just shy of $700 to fix it. Their “warranty” covers $0 for water damage, they said in the future don’t ride it in any moisture. Even though they say they’re water resistant… they are not. They are expensive, for the price and being a US company I would expect more on their warranty. Do yourself a favor and save yourself the $3200 I have already spent on one board. Not to mention their warranty is only for a year and is a limited warranty at that…. I’m afraid of future repair costs of these boards, save yourself the headache and don’t buy one.

Awful customer service

Awful customer service, snake like business practices. Never buying another one or recommending it to anyone. I wish I could find all the people I did reccomend it to once upon a time and take it back. Awful

Pint X battery failed 630 miles

Bought a Pint X and the battery failed at 630 miles. The warranty period for the battery is only 622 miles or 6 months. Future Motion said they couldn't diagnose the reason for the battery failure but said I was "out of warranty". I own 6 other PEVs with much higher mileage and have never had a battery failure. They charged me $500 to replace the battery (a small 342 watt hour battery). Keep in mind there is no other option for repair - they won't sell you parts or allow you to repair your own board. You are basically a hostage to whatever Future Motion wants to charge you. If you don't agree to their decision you end up with a useless board. I thought I was getting a quality product with a good warranty but that wasn't the case. I won't be buying anything else from Future Motion. Buyer Beware!!

Received broken/returned. Never received

Received broken, never was returned, they sent me back a fender and rails 8 months ago. Nothing I can do. Just hitting all these reviews. Also 40 of my friends. Still no response from Jeff. Pint x is dangerous do not buy. Not for kids. Used XR plus more stable and you can buy pre owned for 600.00 Unless you have health insurance as the boards can have a mind of their own. They also extremely loose value out of the box. I have many and just wanted to get a new pint x for my experienced friends to ride when they visit. But now I’m out 1650.00 minus the fender which I sold to get some money back.

If you think this is a joke, email them. Jeff will not respond for months. No support. Zero. Be smarter then myself! Do it for the kids! Keep them off these boards. They can result in DEATH. Read the lawsuits

I bought 2 one wheel GT's and when I have riden them both without doing anything crazy, riding normal under 15 mph it nose dives without any warning and I almost killed myself four times riding either OW GT. Tire pressure was normal. These boards are very dangerous and I feel they are defective. I just fell 15 min ago and almost dislocated my shoulder, scratched up my face, arms, knees and hands. I do not trust these boards any more and I have a fear now to ride them. will get an attorney to see what can be done at this point. These boards are highly unreliable and extremely dangerous

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service! there is no way you contact them, you can only send a ticket and they reply with steps as if it's automated reply.
The product is great but for this price, we expect a better customer support!

Le produit est top !
Mais si vous avez une panne, absolument personne ne peut vous le réparer !

On me fait attendre 6 mois via des échanges de mails en me demandant de faire différents tests.
Résultat : la garantie est maintenant terminée et on me dit que tout fonctionne bien alors que le OneWheel ne démarre plus !

Il ne faut pas avoir fait de grandes études pour voir qu’un appareil qui ne s’allumera pas est un appareil qui ne fonctionne pas et donc qui ne peut pas être utilisé !

Vu le prix, c’est une HONTE !!!

GT still has issue and cause accidents like it happened with me

My new gt has less than 15 miles on it. ITS FRONT FOOT PAD WAS FAULTY AND BOARD GHOSTED BECAUSE OF THAT. I had an accident coz of that but luckily no major injury and only minor cuts. They have sent me replacement for front foot pad. but all the remaining parts which got damaged coz of the equipment are still pending. only issue is if you try to email them there customer service is quite rude and they do not care about customers here. They just want to sell these boards and ignore you once they have your hard earned money.

9 miles and dead

My new gt has 9 miles on it. Every time I step on it it blinks yellow and app says overcurrent.
I send th 2 emails now 2 weeks apart and zero response. They do not care about customers here. They just want to sell these lemons and ignore you once they have your hard earned money. I am upset but open to solutio s and will update review accordingly.

I am very happy with my Onewheel gt. My Onewheel had a recall of the frontsensors, but they send the new One. We Must not be negative about the product. They are taking there responsibility, and it Will be solved. The product is awesome. Good job Guys

Ordered a new gt

Ordered a new gt. Hasn't arrived yet but noticed the ghost ride recall. Called and confirmed my board was affected. Asked to have them recall it and send a working board. They would not. Said I can get the lemon board and get the parts to replace myself. Unwilling to work with me. Said I could cancel order. Get money back. Eventually and place a new order. No other options. They had been dening the ghost ride issue for months. Claimed originally the soft ware update fixed the issue. Complete lie. Now that they are done killing and injuring people since it's such a wide spread know issue they can't continue to cover up they got forced to recall. Sent board back will not be ordering another. I have the xr and really love it. Use it everyday. But after this experience lost all faith in future motion.

Not sure where to start but I can’t stop laughing about the fact that a serious recall is effecting my one week old GT that only has 13 miles (what luck) and the company that is such a hard ass about parts and against user replaceable component sales now is asking me to wait not use my $2200 investment and they will eventually Send me a foot pad with Do-It-yourself instructions … these guys are most definitely jokers and now this company should be closed down, after many suits for their stupidity

The Worst Customer Service

The Worst Customer Service

My board has been a “lemon” since day one. Issues and more issues. First my power button didn’t work properly. I had to press it twice each time to get it to turn on. They use template responses and say, “the diagnostics look fine but if you want to send it in, we can look at but if we find no issue, you have to pay for shipping plus parts and labor.” I sent the board in. They then send emails that they received the board and that it’s being looked at. Then you get an email that it’s being shipped back to you. No other information!! How about telling me if you found something wrong? And what was wrong? And what you did to fix it? Nothing. Highly suspicious. I ask these questions and get very nebulous answers. The best I got was “ Your battery circuit board was not allowing the board to power on consistently.” I get the board back. The problem is fixed. But now there’s a slew of other problems:
- When charging, I no longer get a notification that the board is fully charged from the app
- When charging, the charger no longer changes color from red to green when the board is fully charged.

Next, about 6 months later, I notice a significant drop in power and torque. The board just can’t make it up hills. I video the problem. I send the board in and again they me tell that if they don’t find a problem, I have to pay for shipping and parts and labor.

And this time, they just try to gaslight me. They say “the diagnostics are fine.”

Me: Cool but what about the fact that the board can no longer carry me up a hill?
Future Motion: The diagnostics are fine. Me: What about the video I sent in that shows the board is dipping forward in either direction I ride it? Could the gyro be off?
Future Motion: The diagnostics are fine. Me: Can you try and ride it and see for yourselves?
Future Motion; We did and we don’t see anything wrong? We can you send a video of someone riding it up a hill so you can see it working?
Me: Sure.
Me (2 weeks later): Where’s the video?
Future Motion: We did the test with a rider going up a 10% grade and with a section that had a 14% grade. Here is a screenshot of the app while we were riding it and here are two pdf’s that show a map of where we rode your Onewheel.
Me: Cool but where’s the video? And when you offered to make a video, I requested the rider be about 6’ and 200lbs like me and to go up a steep grade. How big was the rider? Can you go up a steeper grade?
FutureMotion: (No response)
Me: 😩 (out $2500+ and no board)

Do not give this company your money.

Wrong address

I accidentally inputed the wrong address for shipping but they were able to get my Onewheel shipped within a week (didn’t have to pay for shipping again)!

Worst Company to Do Business With

I honestly doubt there is a worse company to do business with. They have little or no regard for their customers. If they didn't have such a cool product, they would have gone out of business years ago. Can you imagine they discontinued their flagship #1 selling product (XR) before their were ready to ship its replacement (GT which is a piece of garbage). They crap all over their dealers to the point where their own dealers ALL hate doing business with them and talk trash about them. Some company that understands how to build customer and dealer relationships should buy them and watch the product really blow-up. Their Management is the WORST!!

Customer service is terrible

Customer service is terrible, they take ages to respond. You can't make a deal with them because they won't honor that deal. They send copy paste mails when you have issues as soon as they find out you're from EU.
