We have 4 directors so needed each of us to verify with our personal codes … in practice one director had to ring several times for this 11-digit code to be re-sent to her … so it would be good if there was a simpler system for these, as an email sent a year ago is not that helpful for everyone to use.

From 18 November 2025, identity verification became a legal requirement for UK company directors and People with Significant Control (PSCs) under the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023. Bear in mind that this is a new verification requirement that did not exist a year ago.
Unfortunately our platform does not have access to your company's directors' personal codes, as this is issued by Companies House directly. Nonetheless, we will allways do our best in providing you the necessary guidance to locate this information, if necessary.

Generally quite easy to use. I liked the qr code that took me straight to where I needed. Too much repetition of information input though, once data like name, address etc is captured it should not be needed again

Typically, if the user who created the Online Filings account is also a director of the company, details such as their name and address should not need to be entered again once they have already been provided.

Not a fault of yours, however i forgot that it was cheaper and easy to do via Companies House direct. So I paid much more than i needed to. Having said that, i cannot fault your advertising, online filing system and email updates, through to the confirmation of acceptance. A friction free and fast service that delivers if you don’t want to file it yourself. Thank you.

Unsolicited emails regarding wrong information
This company keeps sending me unsolicited emails telling me to file company information for a company I have never heard of and have no connection with. I double checked with Companies House that I have no association with the company they name. Onlinefilings has no authority to email me and their information is wrong.

Thank you for your feedback. We understand that receiving a message about a company you do not recognise, particularly where you believe you have no connection with it, would understandably raise concerns about why you were contacted.
Online Filings is a private company, independent of Companies House and HMRC. Our communications carry our own company name, logo and contact details. We are registered with Companies House as an Authorised Filing Software Provider and an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP), and we are supervised by HMRC for anti-money laundering compliance. Where information in a communication appears to be incorrect, we are happy to look into this and help clarify the reason for the contact.
For clarity, our services are separate from the government filing services. Any fee charged by Online Filings is in addition to the applicable Companies House or HMRC fee and covers access to our simplified filing platform and personalised support. Our pricing is displayed on our website before checkout, so customers can decide whether they wish to use our service or file directly with the relevant government department.
We also appreciate your concern about receiving information relating to a company you do not recognise. We only contact individuals where there is a clear reason to do so. In this case, the email address used to contact you had previously been provided through our platform in connection with services relating to the company referenced in the communication.
If you ever need to complete a company filing yourself, you can of course do so directly through Companies House. If you would like to see how our service works, we would be happy for you to try the platform and judge the service on that basis. For any questions about the communication you received, please contact support@onlinefilings.co.uk and our team will be happy to assist.
