Openly Home Insurance claims was one of the most horrible experiences ever. I have undergone several claim adjustments due to hurricanes and floods from previous relocations due to domestic violence and being a disabled veteran. The claim adjusters would come out and assess the damages and a decision was made within weeks. I signed my closing on my home November 7, 2025 and moved in December 7, 2025. Since I was relocating from another state I could not check.on the house until my scheduled move in date. During my.absence squators had made my home their home. On November 7, 2025 I Brought several valuable items i did not want to get stolen or damaged during the move. On December 7, 2025 I think i possibly startled the squators because once I put the keys in the newly changed locks my new home looked like someone had vacated quickly. All the lights were on, water running, wet towels on the floor, food residue in the sink and on the stove and food in both refrigerators. The house was seeping with gas and cold air from the air conditioner. The city utilities were called, the fire department were called and the police were called. Gas meter was shut off and later removed and reports were made. I called my V.A. lender who instructed me to call Openly Home Insurance. I received a call back from Taria Fox. I explained to Taria Fox that my loss was quite large and all I was concerned with was obtaining suitable heating since I had 2 adult sons who were Autistic and I could not allowed local agencies to come in my home to provide services for my son with no heat in the household. I asked if the claim could be settled for $1000.00. She, Taria Fox, informed me that claims with Openly Home Insurance did not work that way. And hence forth the journey of harassment and unprofessionalism begins. Taria Fox had me sending and resending photos and documents weekly. Weekly emails of how she wanted things done. When.i asked her what actually did.she want. because the emails were being sent. She, Taria Fox told me I would do as she said. She also told me that she saw me on social media wearing my jewelry . My ex husband sent notarized letter stating the value of all the jewelry he purchased for me in 26 year time period. The value at the time of purchases was $15,000. To replace the furnace was $15,000. I lessen the value of other items thinking if I submitted a lesser lose spread sheet it would greater the possibility of obtaining a reasonable financial.recovery. I did not know my cap was $2500-Something Taria Fox never mentioned. She, took great honor in making the call to.instruct me my claim was denied due to my handwritten loss spreadsheet was under the value of the claim. Trying to save the insurance company money only made me screw my claim and I am now searching for another home insurance. Thank.you Openly for 4 months of freezing utilizing space heaters and over $1000 amonth utilities bills. Thank you more than anything for having a claim representative like Taria Fox representing your company. I have warned Veterans United Home Loans and others to beware.

I was shocked that you don't penalize a client for cancelling for non payment. I was able to write a policy for someone who was written with you with another agent who she was very unhappy with and it worked out great! The price was great it was so easy to quote. The customer was so happy to get back her policy that she felt like the other agent messed up for her and lost and she is so happy now.

The Customer advisor Kiley was very helpful in communicating policy coverages and opportunities and assisted with teeing up the quote for customer approval. While not always the cheapest, coverage is excellent, and the platform is a joy to use, and provides very intuitive coverage options to show the customer. Including additional party information could not be easier.
Easy Process
I had someone call close to closing time and I was able to quote and release with little to no effort. I love it that it immediately lets you know if the customer is eligible.
