For 3-4 years I was disappointed with an awful tattoo attempted by a previous studio on my calf muscle, embarrassed to show it off as it was so bad. It was faded terribly, more like it was a couple of decades old. The artist from the previous studio didn’t pack the blacks in and completely missed the mane from the lion. I got in touch in hope with Outliers to see if they could help to rectify the bad tattoo. Sheine took it on and did an amazing job, I am now proud to show it off and will probably continue to wear shorts all throughout winter. The people I have showed it to have all said it looks so much more amazing than the flat tired looking excuse beforehand. Whenever I get new ink now, I will be coming to Outlers

In the past six months I have had a piercing and also a tattoo, and in the process have visited Outliers on several occasions in connection with these. I must say that the service matches up completely with the descriptions given on the website, and can fully justify the claim to be the best studio in Birmingham. The moment you walk through the door I have found a warm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere, and both Sheine and Nicole to be fully professional and anxious to listen to my wishes, to discuss the work and offer helpful advice where appropriate. They are both very gifted. At all times I have felt valued and cared for as a person and made to feel at home; this was particularly appreciated as I am older than many of their usual customers. The standards of hygiene are clearly very high, and any initial nerves are quickly forgotten and I was soon able to relax and actually enjoy the processes where any pain was kept to a minimum anyway!
I can fully understand the claim that most clients seem to return for more. Can you blame them? It has been a real pleasure to be there in such a lovely atmosphere – and to come away with something attractive and well done! Thank you.

I honestly couldn’t be happier with my tattoo by Sheine. I had a portrait tattoo done of my two children, and Sheine has captured them so beautifully. The detail and likeness are incredible, and it means so much to me to have them permanently represented in such a special way.

From start to finish, Sheine was so talented, professional and lovely to work with. You can tell she genuinely cares about her work and takes pride in getting every little detail right.

Visited for piercings only for 3 kids and my own piercing. I didn’t know what to expect but it was a pleasurable experience. The staff were exceptional attentive and patient. My daughter was crying as she was scared of getting piercings. Sheine and Nicole were so patient and were able to encourage my daughter to get her ears pierced! The vibe in this place was so welcoming. Thankyou.

I honestly can’t recommend this studio enough. From the moment I walked in, I felt completely at ease—even though I was really nervous. The whole environment is so thoughtfully put together, with little touches throughout that genuinely make it stand out from anywhere else I’ve been.
The entire process was seamless from start to finish. The design was handled with care, and everything felt smooth and well-organised right through to completion.
I had a piece done on my ribs, which I was expecting to be quite intense, but Shane was surprisingly gentle and made the whole experience so much more comfortable than I imagined.
I absolutely love the result—couldn’t be happier with it. I even ended up going back to my childhood and got my ears pierced at the same time, which just added to the whole experience.
10000% recommend this studio. I’ll definitely be back… tattoo bug officially initiated.

I honestly couldn’t have picked a better place or artist for my first tattoo than Outliers Ink and Sheine.

This tattoo means everything to me, it represents my wife and my three boys, so I was naturally quite nervous going into it. But from the moment I met Sheine, she made me feel completely at ease. She’s got such a calm demeanour and a really soft touch, and before I knew it, something I was worried about felt like a walk in the park.

What really stood out was how she took something so personal to me and brought it to life exactly how I had imagined it, if not better. The detail, the balance, everything about it is spot on.
On top of that, she’s just a genuinely nice person, easy to talk to, and made the whole experience enjoyable from start to finish.

I’m already getting ideas together for my next tattoo, and there’s no question, I won’t be going anywhere else. Outliers Ink, and Sheine especially, have got a customer for life.

Hats off to all the members of staff at this amazing studio. My 3rd visit and once again, a truly wonderful experience. From the moment you walk in, till the moment you leave, you are treated with the upmost courtesy. A combination of friendliness, professionalism combined with knowledge and talent to go with it all. Had my nose pierced yesterday and honestly it was the best service ever. Everyone was so helpful and made me feel really comfortable, and with it being a piercing the thing that stood out most to me was the cleanliness. Highly recommend. Such lovely staff and gave great aftercare advice. Didn’t disappoint at all. Will definitely be back. Thank you

Was made to feel so comfortable by both Sheine and Nicole throughout my appointment. It was my first tattoo and I had no idea of how to even go about booking it but they made it really easy and gave me information so I would know what to expect on the day. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Life was lifing… and apparently my “leave a review” tab was buffering for a full year.

From the very first contact, my experience with Outliers Ink was great. Nicole responded to emails promptly, was friendly and helpful, and made the booking process really straightforward — which I really appreciated.

On the day, Sheine did my tattoo, and honestly, I couldn’t be happier. Sheine was calm, professional, and clearly takes a lot of pride in her work. She listened, paid attention to the details, and made sure I felt comfortable throughout — no rushing, no pressure, just genuine care.

The studio itself has such a welcoming, relaxed vibe — clean, inclusive, and just an easy place to be. Hygiene standards were excellent, aftercare instructions were clearly explained, and my tattoo healed beautifully. I still get compliments on it.

Everything people often say about Outliers Ink — friendly team, great atmosphere, quality work — absolutely matches my experience. Definitely worth the wait… even if it took me a year to say so.

The staff made me feel extremely comfortable and were super friendly. The tattoos are exactly what I wanted and have turned out so cute. I would 100% recommend this place to friends, as the staff and atmosphere is lovely, it’s clean and the work they do always looks great. <3

I’m neurodivergent and find most studios overstimulating but Outliers Ink has such a friendly, calm vibe. The music is great, the studio is beautiful, really clean and the team make you feel so welcome.

And most importantly I love my tattoos and am always asked where I’ve had them done. Looking forward to getting a piercing next!

Excellent service from both the girls at Outliers. This is the second visit here for Nicole to pierce my daughter’s ears and both times Nicole has been brilliant with her. Defo recommend this shop, thanks ladies
