I had multiple 1-to-1 lessons with Jason and one with a PhD mentor. They are very enthusiastic and attentive, providing good feedback post interview and giving suggestions on further reading. They also have a large array of resources to help you prepare for all kinds of questions.
I’ve had 1-1 tutoring with Jason to prepare for Cambridge and Imperial engineering interviews, and I received offers from both. He was very attentive and tailored the lessons to what I needed help with most.
Jason helped me become much more confident with explaining my thinking out loud and approaching unfamiliar problems. He prepared me to a level higher than the actual interviews and that made them much less intimidating and stressful. I highly recommend Jason to anyone aiming for the top universities!
Jason was very invested in ensuring I got the best help available. This included analysing the personal statement to find its most interesting parts, figuring out what a good entrance exam score was and how to persevere in the presence of new, unknown content.
I was very happy with their service in that I was able to have a free (short) trial session to help me decide whether I wanted to pay for further support. The trial was not easy and certainly helped me to practice answering questions about an unfamiliar topic on the spot. One question was somewhat relevant to what I was asked in my interviews (Oxford physics. I had 2 interviews at Worcester and 1 at St Hugh's. Successful) and I think it did help me.
From my personal experience the questions Jason asked me were probably more intellectually challenging and unfamiliar than what I was actually asked, but I believe it was a useful experience. If you are willing to spend money on additional sessions I can imagine they would be very helpful in further developing your understanding of physics. I did not pay for additional time with Jason (hence I cannot comment on what that would entail and have only given a 4* review), but it seems a worthwhile opportunity if you wish to make the investment.
