Fascinating history and facts.
Tour guide Grace was excellent.
Quite a few steps and low door ways to the top of the westgate tower.
Staff at the shop were attentive too.

Rory was our tour guide and truly brought the history to life! As a Drama teacher I would like to note that his story telling skills were superb! Really made the tour extra special!

A great day at the Castle
When we booked tickets for the Castle it had to be with a tour guide which we normally don't use, but this made the experience so much better on this occasion. Our tour guide was Harry who was very enthusiastic, charming and funny. His knowledge was impressive and he explained everything very thoroughly throughout the tour. You can go back to most of the areas following the tour which is also good in case you missed bits. Apart from the great tour the staff in the shop were also very polite, they were enthusiastic and appeared happy to be there and completed the experience for us. There is also a mound in the middle which is quite high that is included which is good. I would definitely recommend visiting this historic site.
