Recovery from injury

I had a wonderful experience receiving excellent service for both of my issues- fully recovered from one trauma and in recovery from another thankfully to talents and professionalism of the therapist I worked with over multiple sessions. Can’t thank enough to my therapist and the centre for the results and the experience of my healing journey at the centre. Other proses: convenient central location, flexible timing for appointments.

Very poor & unprofessional

Absolute waste of time from the lady I spoke to for booking the appointment, rude & uninterested..Then attended an appointment at the Bunyan Centre Bedford with a physiotherapist who was supposed to do shockwave therapy on my plantar fasciitis after doing 3 months of exercises that did not work. He gave me another month of exercises to do instead of the shock wave therapy I was sent for - and shockingly enough no improvement in the condition. He then discharged me back to MSK for another long wait for an appointment. Really poor service & tims wasted whils i suffer with pain!

Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent care with our team at the John Bunyan Centre. I am sorry to hear that you experienced poor communication when booking your appointment. This does not reflect the standard of care we aim to provide, and we will be reviewing these concerns with our administrative team. I would like to clarify the clinical pathway for your plantar fasciitis treatment. Your initial referral from the online provider was for a face-to-face assessment and treatment, rather than a direct referral for Shockwave Therapy (SWT). As an NHS subcontractor, we must follow strict NHS guidelines. These guidelines require our physiotherapists to complete a full face-to-face assessment and ensure all conservative treatments, like specific exercises, are fully exhausted before advanced treatments can be approved. The physiotherapists plan was to review your progress after a month of these targeted exercises. Because your condition remained unchanged, the criteria have now been met, and we have referred you onward for Shockwave Therapy. We understand that waiting while in pain is incredibly difficult, and we appreciate your patience as we navigate these mandatory NHS pathways.

Excellent rehabilitation service

I was sent to Parks Therapy Centre in Biggleswade following a car accident I had been involved in.

I was seen by Hajar who carried out a thorough examination of my injuries in our initial session. Discussing the rehabilitation that was needed she made it very clear from the get go what exercises would help me to improve. Each session I gained not only in strength and manoeuvrability but also in confidence in what my body was doing. The exercises set were not only modelled clearly but I was walked through them checking me form was correct and not going to hinder my recovery.

Today I was discharged and feel 100% back to my pre-accident self. I am grateful for the service I have received.

Great service

Site was easy to get to. I was met by Jamie who was friendly, knowledgeable and identified quickly what needed to be done. Arm is much better after five sessions.
