I've been trying to track my pension for over 2 years but no joy. Within an hour of paying the £225 fee, pensionpie had written tracing letters.
Once signed up I had access to a brilliant app showing the progress of my search.
Pensionpie found my pension in just under 3 weeks
I recommend this service it was a very simple process

2-off lost pensions.
Reasons as follows....
I dealt with a lady called Sue from the outset. Nothing was too much trouble whilst dealing with her. Always available to speak and called back when asked if not available. The portal was brilliant and easy to follow showing step by step progress. With Sue's assistance the 2-off lost pensions were found and my wife and I was very happy with the outcome. I would recommend PensionPie 100% to anyone wishing to find lost pensions.

We respectfully disagree with the suggestion that communication was impossible. We have a continuously monitored support inbox at support@pensionpie.com (which you used multiple times) and we responded to all correspondence we received.
In this case, progress was impacted by changes to your email details, which meant messages were missed outside of our control. Once this became clear, we issued a full refund promptly and in good faith.
We always aim to act fairly and professionally, even where an engagement cannot be completed, and we believe this was done here.
We wish you the best in resolving your pension arrangements elsewhere.

We understand how frustrating it can be when a pension search doesn’t result in what was hoped for. Unfortunately, in some cases, after carrying out the relevant checks and sending the relevant letters, it does become clear that no pension scheme exists.
While this isn’t the outcome anyone wants, having a clear answer can still be valuable, as it prevents further time, cost, and uncertainty being spent pursuing something that unfortunately isn’t there.
We always aim to be transparent and thorough in the work we carry out.

Thank you for your review, I’m really sorry to hear that you were disappointed, and I completely understand how frustrating it is when a pension cannot be found.
Our team carried out a full forensic search based on the information you provided, contacting all potential employers and administrators connected to your case. However, with some older cases, there simply isn’t a pension there to recover. Schemes may have closed, been wound up, merged, or never held preserved benefits, and in those situations no provider is able to locate anything because nothing exists to be claimed.
I know this isn’t the outcome you hoped for, and I do appreciate how disheartening that can feel. Please be assured that every possible avenue was explored on your behalf.

Unimpressed. I thought this was an HMG service, but was wrong! I was asked for a fee of £250, but their web sire shows £225. Little indication of how they operated and what they might be able to achieve. Since I abandoned my application, I have received numerous "reminders" which include an opportunity to unsubscribe. However, that leads only to a page headed "This page isn't working at the moment". Not a total surprise.
Make sure you understand what they are offering.

We are not an HMG service, and we make this clear on our website and throughout the process. At no point do we state or imply that we are a government department. We provide a private pension-tracing service that takes a forensic approach — reviewing employment histories, cross-checking potential administrators, and making targeted enquiries to identify any pension information that may still exist. The fee is always £225, and this covers the full tracing process for up to five pensions. This includes detailed research, administration, and all correspondence carried out on your behalf, with any replies coming directly back to you.
The reminders you received were generated because your application was not completed. They are automated, but the unsubscribe link should still function properly. I’ve asked our technical team to investigate this so we can get it resolved - in the meantime I have made sure to manually unsubscribe you.

Let PensionPie take the strain
I left the UK over 20 years ago and since making my first pension contribution in 1980, I have had 10 different fixed addresses, my main email address was discontinued by the provider, tracking down 4 past pensions was always going to be a big 'ask' especially when some employers were no longer in business.
While researching how best to do this and finding the proposed new UK pension "dashboard" kept being delayed, I came across PensionPie. I signed up and from Dragana's first reply, I knew this long tedious search was going to be tackled in a calm, professional and methodical way by people who really understood the task in hand.
Sure, there was an initial arrival of 'pension not found' letters and emails from various companies, could it be I had opted out from some? Checks were made to see if I had, and Dragana was constantly keeping my spirits up with her proposals for next steps. Having to write letters from outside the UK would have been a pain but PensionPie handle all that and keep track of what was written to whom and when. All has been found. I had indeed moved a 1st pension into the 2nd. Thanks to Dragana and PensionPie for making it happen.
