I had really done my research when I decided to apply to become a Travel Counsellor. I wanted a travel business with a strong, non-negotiably professional and respected brand identity. TC was the brand I kept coming back to, and I was certainly not disappoined when I began the journey of becoming a Franchisee. My first contacts and initial chats with Ashley put me well at ease. Warm friendly and welcoming. This is when most people realise they really want to be a part of such a special company! Ashley was so confident, professional and reassuring through the process. The induction training has also been first class. Kristina and Dawn are both so knowledgable, warm, caring and patient. If you are dedicated to travel and have the warmth and caring needed to become a TC, then I would highly recommend applying! It is an honour to be part of such an innovative, positive and energetic community!

Choosing the right franchise is a significant decision, and Travel Counsellors has exceeded my expectations at every stage of the process. The team have been professional, transparent and consistently supportive, taking the time to answer questions honestly and ensuring I had all the information needed to make an informed decision.

I have been considering a TC Franchise over a number of years - being excited about the opportunity but it not being the right time personally. During this time, I was fortunate to have both Angela and, latterly, Julia Speed as my contact.

Julia is very special - she remembers everything and has been encouraging in a non-sales type way throughout my decision making journey. No pressure and always based on care, thoughtfulness and willingness to assist. She is so easy to get along with and is such a great human being.

Good onboarding process where they make sure it's the right fit for you as you are for the. Lots of available people to chat too to do your own research. The tech seems fairly easy to use and I love how much they have in the way of learning modules/knowledge base, I love how supportive they all are and how much they work as a team when needed.

I thought about becoming a Travel Counsellor years ago, but it never quite felt like the right time. At the start of 2026, I decided to just make the call and spoke to Ashley. She was incredibly helpful from the very beginning and sent me through all the information I needed, suggesting we follow up with a Teams call.

After our call, I felt ready and confident to take the plunge. Ashley was knowledgeable and supportive. She answered all my questions honestly and made what felt like a big decision much easier.

From the very first conversation, Sue Law in the new franchise team was incredibly supportive, generous with her time, and honest. There was no hard sell, she took the time to get to know me, answer all my questions and give a genuine picture of what life is actually like as a Travel Counsellor.
Making such a big career move, I wanted to do it with the best, and TC have proven that time and again - from the initial chats, to attending a Discovery Day (which I highly recommend), through to setting up the business and the incredible training led by the amazing Kristina Seed and team. You run your own business but with the best infrastructure and support.
It’s been fantastic so far and I’m so excited for what’s next. I wouldn’t want to do this anywhere else, the TC community is something special.

So, this has been a long journey for me! From my first chat with Julia in 2022 she has always offered good advice and amazing patience, keeping in touch, but with no pressure whatsoever, until the time was right for me to join.
After much planning, chats and a lovely visit to the offices to see Julia and discuss my plans, I have been so impressed and made to feel so, so welcome by every person I interacted with.
This continued when I finally reached the training stages and was put right at ease by the lovely Dawn who looked after our small group for 2 weeks with military precision and always a happy smile.
Launch day was celebrated with all the team and I can honestly say I have never experienced a more welcoming and professional onboarding.

Joining Travel Counsellors has been an easy, clear and straightforward process. I have half way through the two week academy training which has been fabulous. My recruiter, Julia, answered all of my questions with confidence and my trainer, Kristina, is so engaging and kind. I am incredibly exciting to start the next stage of the process as my travel business launches.

During the onboarding process, I felt listened to with my reasons for wanting to become a new franchisee, and also supported to take this slow and think it through without being rushed or pressured to go ahead. You can tell the team want to make sure it is both right for you and right for them, so if this takes time, thats only a good thing.
As part of my two week induction as a new leisure TC, I appreciated a level of honesty and also, great positive motivation during a time where you feel a little out on your feet and apprehensive of what you are about to embark upon. You feel a sense of friendship between others joining at the same time as you, which was encouraged by the training team.
