Petal & Pup ships expensive garments via USPS with NO insurance and does not replace or refund customer if there is a problem
Placed an order on Macys.com for a dress. Never received it. Went back online to see when it would be delivered and in small print I saw "Shipped and sold by Petal and Pup", which means this is a third party seller just listing their merchandise on Macys website. I checked the tracking number and the tracking showed the item being delivered "in or at" my mailbox the same day. My mailbox is very small and a maxi dress would in no way fit into my mail box. I looked all over my front porch, yard, driveway, asked neighbors, etc. and there was no package anywhere. I messaged P & P the same day and got no response for a week, until I filed a Macys credit card dispute for item not received. P & P then immediately emails me and tells me that since the tracking shows the item was 'delivered' they will not return or replace, and apparently think they can speak for Macys also and said Macys will not either. I have been a 30+ year customer of Macys and have lived in my house for 30 yrs also and get packages delivered to my front porch almost daily. I am also home all day. I never have packages 'missing' or stolen, and my Ring camera does not show anyone delivering a package. I will not pay for an item I have not received. I had zero choice about which carrier the item would be shipped with, and was never asked if I wanted to purchase insurance or have a signature needed upon delivery. Petal and Pup is carelessly sending out packages with $100 dresses via USPS, with no insurance or even Priority Mail which automatically includes insurance. They obviously place little value on their garments since they do not use more reputable shippers and do not purchase insurance or require a signature upon delivery, but then expect the customer to be responsible when their low end shipping carrier drops the ball or mis-delivers a package.
