Something is completely off in the last 1-2 months. All ratings seemed to drop by 2-3 points for no real reason. Perhaps a new guideline by photofeeler to increase purchased votes. Not really for me w... Ver más

Makes me wanna rope so much
Makes me wanna rope so much. im like 2/10 and it shows.
This is why I am not using photofeeler
First of all I disagree with users saying it's a scam and that the ratings are done by robots (they have one million unique visitors per year, why use robots?)
But there is one limitation for sure, it is the pull of people rating you, and you have no idea who they are.
If I am rated 10/10 by users that are 5/10 that will not tell me if I will get more matches on tinder. On photofeeler you don't know that!
There is also the country of the raters that you have no control over and the cultural differences when it comes to attractiveness. Every one knows that if you are of Caucasian type you are perceived as more attractive in Asian countries (proven by okCupid's study). So your ratings are probably overestimated.
And also underestimated let's say if you are an Indian guy or girl from India getting rated by Europeans (I don't think it's racism, these are strong cultural differences when it comes dating partners and attractiveness !).
I think the best option to know your attractiveness is REAL LIFE. As a cute girl you may get compliments all the time. So that's a cue. If you aren't recieving any you have to find it strange and ask for advice about your look or your style. As a guy it is more complicated since girls even when attracted to you will not give you any significant signals. In fact they may even try to hide them.
If you are not convinced by the "real life" argument there are still a couple of alternatives to photofeeler. I found this one interesting since you can filter on the country of voters and also view their photo.

Registration doesn't work
I tried registering 4 times over the course of a week, always get the error message:
" Email signup is temporarily unavailable. Please choose a social signup link. "
I tried another email and different browsers just to make sure it was not a problem on my end.
I don't use those social site options, and I'm not going to sign up an account just to use Photofeeler. Why would they want access to those services anyway? If they are obtaining any information on a person besides the pictures, it defeats the purpose, because people are looking for feedback on their pictures.
I filled out 2 bug reports and it is still down. What website is down for more than a week in 2021, despite the problem being reported?
incredible
incredible, unique site providing unrivaled photo feedback. i have tested about 20 photos on it and it's honestly changed my online dating experience. very reliable and well designed scoring system.
Not entirely convinced
Not entirely convinced, but still gives a good overall impression of which photo's are better than others I think. Was scoring mostly around the 5 mark with some a 6. Then I decided to upload a professional modeling picture of myself from when I was 18 (I am 48 now) and surprisingly the scores only increased very marginally compared to my best present picture. Odd. Also, same picture submitted twice but different size, and the zoomed in one scored extremely low, which I also find slightly odd. In conclusion, worth a try but don't take the results as very accurate.
This is a great site.
This is a great site. Seems the ugly people are unhappy with it but this has helped me with my business and dating profiles greatly. Getting 6s for photos I thought were good then 9s for ones i did not consider as amazing. It is true you can't trust yourself or friends to pic your best photo.
Scores artificially manipulated?
For each category (e.g. attractiveness, trustworthiness, and smartness), you grade on a 4-point scale (0 - no, 1 - somewhat, 2 - yes, 3 - very), which is then translated into a 10-point scale. After receiving one vote, how is it possible to get average scores of 6.1, 7.6, and 8.0? That makes no sense. I feel like the system is doing something funny with the scores; since there's only one vote, they should only be multiples of 2.5 at this point, right? Or they might be 0, 3.333, 6.666, and 10. But definitely not 6.1, 7.6, or 8.0. What the hell.
Time thieves
This is 2020 and there are still some stone-head people think they can trick customers by asking them to take some steps and then asking them for money to show results. You are nothing but scams and time-thieves.
It’s bullsshit
It’s bullsshit , one night I get a good rating on the same photo the next night I get a low rating on the same photo
A great idea - bad execution
A great idea, but be aware if you're a man being appraised by women they will CRUCIFY you! I'm a minimum of a 6, and they rated me a 4. I'm in great shape and have even, symmetrical features. Remember, OK Cupid found that women rate 80% of men as "unattractive", so take your score with a grain of salt. The notes can give you advice on what they like and don't like about your photo.
It was a good site until recently.
Until late last year (2018), Photofeeler was a great site for feedback. It helped me a lot with photos for dating. Something changed a few months back, however. Achieving “average” ratings at this point seems like a difficult task even with really good photos. I tested older photos that once rated very high for me on Photofeeler and they are now being tanked by very negative votes. The site has effectively become useless to me at this point. What a shame.
From a '5' to a '7'.... in a few months.
It's been quite an educational journey using Photofeeler on & off for the last 6 months or so. I've put up about a dozen pics (+ tweaks/variations), receiving nearly 600 votes between them.
My photos have gone from getting 30-50% across the various qualities (attractiveness, likeability, etc) to getting 60-70%.
So while that's not stellar, it's a massive improvement, and now I finally have a decent photo on my website.
This is from someone who has rarely looked good in ANY photos really! So I'm very pleased.
As part of the free 'karma' system, you earn a vote on your photo for every 6 or 7 of other peoples' photos you vote on, so I must have voted on over 3000 photos! Yeah, you have to vote a lot in order to receive votes. But voting is worthwhile - you have many realizations as you go through the process, and can apply those to your own photos.
Pay some attention to the comments, but don't get too cut up about it - you can't please all the people. In fact, different people's comments will often directly contradict each other! 🤔
And do try and have fun while you learn...
Note:
I have closely analysed the scoring system and I think it errs on the low side.
For reference, it seems like the 4 levels equate to about this:
'No' = 4.5 and down
'Somewhat' = 6
'Yes' = 7.5
'Very' = 8.5 and up
Even taking into account that scores from votes are adjusted up or down, the given score tends to be lower than what you'd expect from looking at the data bar graphs.
Inaccurate results based on the…
Inaccurate results based on the disparity of anonymous feedback across multiple sites. Very easy to make scores inflated or deflated.
Mandatory custom text responses should be given with scores to offer insight and justification of their choices— ESPECIALLY for interpreting negative scores.
Very minimal quality feedback. Avoid.

Great idea, working good so far. I even recommend the site to some of my friends, I find it usefull
HORRID Customer Service...
Horrible response from their customer service, Tim. I inquired about a weird issue I noticed, and was rudely contacted by Tim. I was sent a curt, rude, and insulting email where for some reason he said I was being "dishonest"??
There is an algoryhtmn I guess for how ratings are calculated and if you vote on a baseline of what you believe, that happens to be similar, its not good I guess? Ive voted on 100-200 photos of others and first time I had a problem.
I was just shocked at this level of customer service and to receive a basic insult.. I deleted all photos and asked to delete my account.
I can promise I didnt vote the exact same for the hundreds of times I voted for others... however I did have a baseline. If they have a requirement that you cant vote the same more than 5 times in a row, than they need to explain that and not just insult a person????
Also, I find it weird they have ALOT of what I feel is just stock photos on line... in addition to many, many, many duplicate photos which they claim "duplicates cant happen". Well, they do and Ive seen mannnnny of them.
Work on your customer service experience. Detailing your needs to the public. Better explain whatever this company needs... but all my friends and family will be deleting their accounts in the next week.
A manager or owner may gladly contact me if they wish to discuss...
Very useful for quick opinions on your photos
Great idea - very useful site for testing out a range of photos you are considering using for LinkedIn, social media or dating sites to find the best one, giving you a quick set of ratings from real people, sometimes with specific feedback comments too. It's also a fun process to rate other peoples photos and have your own rated.
