Got somebody around and check my boiler for £102 (which I payed for prior to service). The serviceman said it needed a new pump (which was the only use they provided to me, and was barely worth the cost of callout). He then offered to get one ordered for over £300+, plus the cost of installing it, totalling at way over £500 quote on top of what I'd already paid.

Too expensive to mess around with so I had a look online and found a top class (improved on mine) pump for £125. No way I was paying another £200+ to get this installed so I did it myself.

A few days later I get invoice no#2. Apparently my boiler was 'air' based so they wanted another £120 for apparent services provided! I rang them and cleared up their apparent [money grabbing] mistake.

Charlatans tactics in the modern age.

PHR installed a fully funded grant at my home last year, and the whole process was efficient from start to finish. Since the work was completed, I’ve noticed a significant reduction in my energy bills.

I recently had them back to install a battery, and once again the service was excellent. I can’t recommend them highly enough — a great local company you can trust.

We have just had a full ECO4 grant compketed at our property here in North Wales which local firm PHR installed for us. They have dealt with everything from initial contact, ensuring grant process is completed hassle free and finally full instalation.

We have had a Heat Pump, new Radiators throughout our property, Insulation for external walls and loft and finally Solar Edge panels.

All works was completed to the highest of standards with care and attention to everything they did. My Wife, daughter and I including our little dog Shelley was always treated with respect and kindness. They also ensured the property was cleared at the end of every day and we were fully informed of all processes.

Having worked in a Customer focused job for the over 30 years i can honestly say that PHR strives with same values as my own.

I would have no hesitation in recommending PHR to complete any household jobs no matter how big or small. Well done to all office staff, Management and Labourers for ensuring you put the Customers needs first.

Over priced generally. Really bad experience with the ECO4 grant work. I wasn’t shown how to use the new system and my house was left in a mess. Was given £100 to get my own cleaners in but had to replace a lot of items due to damage/plaster dust. Will never use them again.

PHR Eco exceeded our expectations and delivered a professionally designed bespoke system for our home. The system included a Bivalent ASHP linking to our oil boiler with solar and battery storage. We live in an old stone house with a slate roof. It was important to us that the install would not alter the character of our home, that the roof would be treated with care and that the result would keep us warm. Owen (Design Manager) and Ben (Team Manager) were extremely knowledgeable and led the installation team with high and exacting standards. The installation team were very competent and professional. Any queries we had were addressed, any changes to the install, at our request, were discussed and made without any fuss. We are delighted to say that we have substantially reduced both our electricity and oil costs. Our install was completed mid-August 2025 and since then we have been for most of the time 100% solar powered. Solar providing 24/7 hot water and meeting our electricity needs. We look forward to being warm this winter. Our thanks go to the design team who had the patience and expertise to answer our questions, resolve any queries along the way and to simplify the install information. All planned out, great work completed.
Extras done as boiler had blown up, so also replaced this when fitting the hybrid system.

They got everything done so quickly and within the very short time frame they was given I’m very impressed with each and everyone of them they was all polite very helpful with questions and so clean and respectful of our home. What a superb company. They were very efficient the work was scheduled and the workers arrived an time and believe it on not completed the entire project on time. All staff were polite and responsive from office staff to the actual workmen. I would particullarly.

After 4 attempt's at getting an ECO 4 grant from different companies around the country we gave it one last shot at a local Rhyl company PHR.We put the application in late last year they kept us up to date regarding the funding visits from the surveyor who also kept us up to date.To be honest we had heard it all before.Then we received a phone call from PHR on the Wednesday saying they had got the funding and could they start on the following Monday.Obviously they had worked a lot harder than the 4 other companies which we had been involved with.Work started on the Monday as promised and from the day they started you could not ask for a better workforce.We were kept informed day to day what would be done yes a bit of a mess but they cleaned up every day after they had finished.They completed the job taking about ten days from start to finish.We now have solar panels, heat pump and boiler all the outside walls have been insulated on the inside of our property loft insulation installed extractor fans and window vents.Every part of our property fully insulated for the winter months also a saving on our energy bills for the future.Again we must thank the office staff and the workforce for an excellent way they have handled our ECO 4 work.Many thanks.

Having just had work done from this company. We are very pleased with the work they did. Very efficient, the two lads that came, were excellent workers. Didn't stop. They only had about a 10 minutes tea break. Lovely lads too. I would recommend this company to anyone. Thank you PHR good job done!!

Fantastic company so friendly feel like there new friends, can't do enough for you go above and beyond, excellent job,my property has never looked so good so much warmer, insulated inside due to single brick, plenty of solar panels, even fixed my bathroom floor for me, which was so dangerous due to a previous leak I had, they even worried about my cats welfare, would highly recommend to everyone, thankyou to phr plumbing x

The service we recieved was amazing....I couldn't fault the company from start to finish.... The lads tidied up after them selves every night. They made make shift curtains for our windows to give us some privacy. We spent most of the day away from home whilst the work was being carried out and they even let our dog out into the garden throughout the day...I really can't fault them from start to finish

I have just been very lucky to have my Bungalow insulated, and the company who has done this for me on a Grant is; PHR.
This company and every one who worked on my Bungalow have been wonderful. Excellent service, and treated me with care and respect. They did everything possible to make sure I was comfortable and catered for while the work was being done.
They took great care of my property, and me! If there was a way to give them even more STARS I would.
They have changed my life, from living in a a cold damp property, and now in a nice warm and cosy one.
THESE PEOPLE ARE REALLY CHANGING LIVES, ONE PROPERTY AT A TIME.

Great company to deal with!

We had several elements of the ECO4 system installed at our property in Llanddulas in 2023 by PHR. Not all as the property didn't require some and other areas of the design went against our preservation of a property of historical interest. The interior did have a lot of work done, from insulation boards throughout the external walls internally to a full heating system with radiators. There was insulation rolls fitted into the upstairs attic rooms in the eves.

It was one of their pilot homes, so an early example. Yes there were issues, knowledge, learning and understanding was being picked up on the job, that is what a pilot is all about. We knew in advance and yes it was inconvenient and hard work coping with the disruption but we all worked together to get the project done. The guys onsite were fabulous and nothing was too much trouble. Peter and Jordan (PHR Project Managers) ensured we had as little disruption as possible and kept in touch at all times, with regular updates and set our expectations realistically and truthfully.

The aftercare has been excellent, no quibbling or wriggling, if we had a problem, PHR were only too keen to listen, help and resolve.

I've given it 5 stars, some may say 4 would be fair too but they really want to do a great job and keep all their customers happy so I'm giving an extra star for 'well done' and encouragement going forward to do an even better job elsewhere...

Absolutely as happy as a pig in muck, the guys have done an amazing job from start to finish.

They took care of everything, the staff in the office and the engineers on site were all A+.

If your looking at using PHR take it from me you won't regret it.
