Charges without notice. Don’t opt into a free trial with Pingo. The company, Link, that they use for subscriptions will charge you $99.99 without informing you of your free trial ending. Despite stating up front that you will be reminded (which they don’t). Link will tell you to contact Pingo customer support for help and Pingo will tell you to contact Link customer support. Neither will refund you despite being at fault for unexpected charges.

This App seems positive, initially, however, it is not as you continue as you advance. It is marketed for building conversational confidence and relies heavily on pre-scripted dialogue flows. Most are full of bugs and of oddly scripted conversations. The scripts are narrow and rigid, as you learn, you see that there are multiple ways/words to achieve what you want to say, yet you will be incorrect when speaking with PingoAI, and thus "marked" with a low score. There are many glitches that that are odd, like I have PingoAI set to French yet I often get a Chinese response in writing! Sometimes I even get a response that I did not say! I communicate this to the developers and yet no updates, no changes. Working with this App is like being in a loop that you can't move forward with; if caught in a loop all you can do is just repeat what it says. Is that learning? Nope. Using what it tells you in real life will definitely get you laughed at when speaking to a native...plus, you wasted your money and time!

If I could give this app zero stars, I would. So note careful with pressing the deceptive „7-day free trial“ in the subscription from their app. They will immediately charge your credit card! I wrote them and THEY pointed out they put in their terms and conditions that Apple Pay is responsible. Clearly THEY programmed the automatic charge into the free-trial subscription button. This is a San Francisco based company that also put in their terms and conditions a class action waiver. Showing their scamming will is by design! Do NOT download! Report them too to the FTC and the California attorney general. In the USA this is also unlawful.

HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE. They just like to take your money. I tried cancelling as soon as I got charged because I forgot to cancel during my free trial because the app was not for me - it was way too fast paced. The company Pingo is sending me to Link, and then Link is sending me back to Pingo. WHO HAS MY MONEY? I will never know. I am so unbelievably frustrated with such an awful customer service experience. Never again. Don't download this crappy app.

SCAM! Did not email me to tell me they were about to bill me and billed me anyway. The app also sucks. Link AND Pingo both won't refund me.

The app displayed the subscription as “1 Month” rather than clearly indicating a recurring monthly subscription. After the charge occurred, both Apple and Pingo AI refused to provide a solution.
