Knowledgeable, thorough and compassionate

Knowledgeable, compassionate and thorough help. The PIP application process is appalling and degrading. It's extremely helpful to able to go to someone who knows how to ask the right questions and get to the heart of what the difficulties are, then express it in a clear, factual way so the assessor can see clearly what help is needed.

It changed the absolutely soul destroying process into a difficult but manageable one, that ultimately got us the help we needed.

Excellent service and support

The service and support provided by PIPPS is 2nd to none. Consistently across all of the advisors and the legal advisors that I spoke to was the same high standard of excellent customer Service and caring, supportive tone. I was really uncertain about how to tackle what seemed like a really challenging task given my disabilities but the team never lost patience with answering questions or sign posting me to their very well designed website where I could find answers. Accessing the Service to submit my application and then a follow-up to that was also super simple and it was really encouraging to speak to Sonia. He dealt with my application and really understood my range of needs.. Despite having gathered all of my evidence, I was completely overwhelmed and would not have been able to extract the relevant points within the timeframe and complete the form. I would recommend PIPPS to anyone considering applying for the financial support that SHOULD be easier to access but isn’t .

Teresa was brilliant at both helping me…

Teresa was brilliant at both helping me through filling in my PIP application plus helped me deal with the hell of preparing for and doing my assessment (including advocating for me with 2 assessments that didn’t happen as assessor was ‘late’). I don’t think I could could have got through this process without Teresa and PIPPs, thank you.

I was lost and overwhelmed by the PIP application and appeals process. I found the help I needed from Cat and the team to be successful in my appeal. I simply couldn't have done it without them. Their knowledge and dedication is second to none.

A lot of pay for what seems like only a slight change to the probability it will be granted. It seems like 50/50 either way to me for that particular service as apparently, DWP will still make errors

Just to help others know better what to expect. For me, not enough about future steps were explained. I was informed after the fact that I should have informed them of my impending assessment; then would they have given me further helpful information. Imagine telling someone that you could have helped them only after the time when the help would have been useful has passed and you had the information to hand before but failed to provide it.
I paid for the form filling service only. They said a team worked on it; including lawyers. However, you only have their word to believe as there was no other evidence presented that this was actually done with my form (a question of transparency? I guess). At their verbal appointment for the document filling-in, I was asked a bunch of questions and my answers were written down on the form. Simply typist and so maybe can type it yourself? They ask you to gather evidence but don't provide any advice on which evidence you should provide (but they will only review 30 pages so you're still not sure which 30 pages of your evidence to provide for review). Ideally they should have had the appointment first and then, based on information given suggested what the best evidence to present could be since they have placed a limit on what can be presented to them for review. One good thing was they gave me some new words to help better describe my experiences. I really should have looked at other pip help companies beforehand to see the differences before choosing them. Oh well, you learn everyday. (I'm not sure why the exact date of my appointment is needed. This done over a period of time, I'm not sure which of the document receipt dates to put. 23 December just so happens to be a date in the middle of it all).

Pipps please, don't say review is not genuine when you know that the processes I have entered above are accurate (an indicative date does not negate the accuracy of the rest of it). This review is meant to help people who need a lot of predictability to function and, thus need as much detail as possible before they can commit to something. This is additional information you should really provide. It is strange to me to have useful information and keep it. It is not intended to make you look bad; rather, it's meant to help others.

As you didn’t provide us with any details allowing us to locate you (after requesting them via trustpilot) before trustpilots deadline, we had flagged the review as not genuine.

After your edit, we are now able to locate you as a client and have checked the history. As we rarely receive anything less than a 5 star review, we’ve been able to match the details in your review to client contact this week.

We are sorry that you did not obtain the award you had hoped for from the DWP. We note that prior to you posting this review we had already offered to continue to advise and assist you at no extra cost, which of course we still will. As we explained by email earlier this week, around 60-80% if our forms result in a successful award. This figure is higher if we assist with the assessment as well. However we must reiterate that we cannot nor do ever puport to guarantee an award. This is simply not possible.

Unfortunately we do dispute some of your review.

Prior to your appointment with your advocate, you were sent an email on the 10th December containing a list of the types of evidence that we advised that you obtained including instructions of how to obtain this.

I can see that on the 31st of December when approving the first draft of your form you said

‘ Thank you so much for so many revelations you have done for me. You've also helped me to understand a little better what's been happening to me.’

On the 10th of January you said

‘I sent it off yesterday on recorded signed for delivery. I don't know what my chances are generally speaking but all that's left is to hope it gets approved.
Thank you especially for helping to describe a lot of things I wouldn't have thought to mention and for giving me the name for the combination of symptoms that I've suffered which was actually [REDACTED] this whole time.’

It appears that you were more than happy with our work at the time and we feel any disatisfaction is based upon the DWP decision making process and not our work.


On the 4th of January, you were sent the instructions of what to do next by way of an email link. Within this was link is a full explaination of what to do when you were allocated an assessment including the offer of one of our free telephone, video or face to face assessment factsheets to best prepare you for this. We can see that you did respond to this email so it was received.

This was followed up on the 10th of January by an email from your advocate, saying ‘ If you need further support, for example, if the DWP want more information by way of an assessment, you can book with us for advocacy support with that, and if I am available, I can be your advocate if you wish.’

We are sorry if you didn’t use the information that we sent to you about your assessment and are upset about this, however we can assure you that it was provided to you, more than once at the time.

All of our forms are supervised by our legal team as part of the form approval process. Should you wish to email us about this, we can send screenshots from our system as evidence of this part of the process.

Once again, we are truly frustrated for you, that you did not receive the award you should have from the DWP. Unfortunately this is not something we have any control over. We will continue to advise and assist you if needed.

Highly recommend the support provided by Cat and the team. They are caring and have the expertise to provide the relevant advice and support. They have the knowledge and experience to help guide you through the difficult process of navigating through the seemingly deliberately difficult process of challenging a flawed DWP decision.

PIP support for autistic young adult

Having PIPPS involved with my daughter's claim took so much stress and guesswork out of a difficult process. We included so much more information about her daily life than we would have ever thought to include without them. We have already put money aside for their involvement come PIP renewal time and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this compassionate and dedicated team.

The team at PIPPs were so helpful in guiding us through the PIP process and with their support we were successful in our appeal against the decision. At a time when we were dealing with a new diagnosis, feeling emotional and trying to navigate our way through our application for PIP, being able to access the expertise and guidance offered by PIPPs was so appreciated.

These companies need to be regulated…

These companies need to be regulated because they are misleading vulnerable disabled people.This is a firm that seems to be run by people with basic law degrees and not solicitors or barristers.They are not even regulated by SRA!

It seems that this is a generic review left about the perceived nature of what we do as an organisation. However, should we have ever assisted you with your claim, we hope you would understand that you have misunderstood how our not for profit agency operates.

We pride ourselves on having 5 star reviews from almost all of our clients. If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, we will always do our utmost to fix this - however, if we do not know about any issues, we cannot fit them.

We are regulated by the office of community interest company regulators - as a CIC we cannot be SRA regulated and have never purported to be so. We are professional members of the HD Sunflower and the disability benefits consortium, who we regularly attend parliament alongside to discuss green and white papers in relation to PIP. We also partner with GMCVO and the Manchester credit union along with several large charities. We have working partnerships with several national law firms, where we look after the benefits claims for their court of protection clients, as they recognise that we are specialists in this area.
Our team comprises of people who live with their own disabilities along with 9 lawyers (some meet both criteria). 2 of our lawyers are unregistered barristers and 6 have both a basic law degree, the LPC (solicitors qualifications) and / or a masters in law.

We did notice that you have also left reviews for other organisations who undertake benefits support, whilst we cannot comment on any other organisations work, it appears that similar comments have been left by you, on several organisations at around the same time.

What can I say about this company!

I have used their services multiple times now, as and when my PIP has come up for renewal and each time I am blown away by the care and service that every member of staff provides!

Everyone I have dealt with over the years, has instantly put me at ease and that has allowed me to discuss topics of a personal nature freely and openly, as if I was talking to a friend. This time I was helped by the lovely Karen who's attention to detail was outstanding, we laughed and cried through the process and I want to send her my deepest thanks for her help!

I am so thankful for finding this company and I love to see how they are going from strength to strength in everything they achieve.

It's truly remarkable the work that they do and I can't recommend them highly enough.

Best service in the UK

I first used PIPPS form filling services a few years ago and couldn’t recommend them enough.

When I transferred from DLA to PIP I used another advocacy firm and had a pretty traumatic experience that ended up at tribunal before I finally got my award plus rather large back payment.

I was absolutely dreading my renewal and involved PIPPS right from the start when my letter about renewing, I spent just over an hour on the phone call with Vicky who was so lovely and caring. We talked about rather private issues with great ease as I felt so comfortable and relaxed talking with her. I was very impressed when my completed form arrived, it was very detailed as to where I met descriptors etc.

I then forgot all about it as I knew PIPPS would advise/help if there was anything else I needed to do. I was over the moon when DWP advised I only needed a phone assessment due to the level of info on the form. My assessment went fine and a few weeks later my award of higher in both was renewed, I cried with relief at how easy PIPPS had Meade my experience this time.

Obviously I had no doubt in using PIPPS again for my latest renewal and this time I was even more impressed. Form was done excellently once again and then a couple of months later I got a call off DWP asking if I was available to talk, I was quite panicked as I was due to start work in 20 minutes but she said it was just a very brief call to check a couple of things, the call lasted 5-10 minutes and asking only 2-3 things she told me they had everything, no face to face or telephone assessment would be needed and I would receive my decision shortly. Not long after my award came through and I got higher rate in both once again and for a longer period.

I can’t thank PIPPS enough for how caring they were and also turning what was previously a traumatic experience into something so less stressful and unbelievably something I would even describe as an easy process.
