A very disappointed experience
A very disappointing experience. After communicating with too many other e-commerce website developers, I was kind of put some trust in this company based on the chat conversation I had with the salesperson online. At the beginning, we had smooth and continuous communication with them until the website was uploaded on the web. The problem started when I began asking technical questions and seeing suspicious indications regarding the functionality of the page.
Red Flag 1: On the shopping cart, it shows $4.75 for the shipping price from any location: Europe, Canada, US, or China.
Red Flag 2: I did a functional test, I ordered a product from the newly developed web page to myself to check the payment system to verify the integration with the third-party [Drop Shipping]. If it was integrated into my system, it should work, however the order amount bounced back to my account without any deduction of the actual price, and the product was not shipped to my address. That means the page is fake or standalone, just templates. Nothing is attached to the third-party websites, for instance suppliers or fulfillment provider.
Red Flag 3: I was told that the prices of the products on the web page were all aligned with AliExpress, and later they said CJ Dropshipping. Both of them are not integrated; they just made me open accounts on both platforms.
Red Flag 4: It has been almost two months since they stopped updating the website and answering my calls.
Red Flag 5: They offered me the option to pay $800 extra for six months of advertising on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Then they shared a couple of websites to convince me of how good they are at marketing. However, the pages look like they belong to other developers/companies because I didn't see their company name [Pixel] at the bottom of the pages.
Red Flag 6: They don't have a physical office location. The map shows random outlet shops in Houston, TX.
I have a conclusion here: If they couldn't fulfill their promises, that means they are a scammer, and probably my personal information has been breached through the transactions I made twice with them.
Otherwise, they need to prove that they are legitimate.
