My Louis Walsh plasma pen customer service experience

My Louis Walsh plasma pen purchased about 6 years ago and have used it sparingly, roughly 10 times, for minor cosmetic procedures around the eyes and mouth area. The device was always stored carefully in its original case, and I treated it as the significant investment it was. Recently, the device suddenly stopped working. When I contacted customer support In NY office, I was disappointed by the response. Rather than offering assistance of troubleshooting options or replacing a part, I was immediately accused of dropping the device of failing to maintain it properly. I was informed that the unit in not repairable and the my only option is to purchase a replacement. This is consistent with previous interactions, where the focus has been on selling me another replacement (priced 6K to 7K) rather than investigating potential product issues. I am very disappointed with the level of service, it appears the company is unwilling to take responsibility for possible manufacturing defects or reliability concerns, choosing instead to direct customers toward another high-cost purchase. For reference, my original plasma pen, purchased 10yrs ago, continues to function perfectly with no issues, much like every other machine I own.

As you have noted, the device was purchased six years ago and was supplied with a twelve-month warranty. Extended warranties have always been available to purchase via our website.

In order to help determine the issue, it was suggested that the cable may need replacing, and you were asked whether the device may have been dropped (this was not an accusation, but part of standard troubleshooting), particularly as a rattling sound was identified within the returned unit.

We also offered to have the device inspected, which we did. Following this assessment, an explanation was provided as to why the device could not be repaired.

Had the device still been within the warranty period, we would have offered a replacement. However, given the length of time since purchase and as any other company would do, we instead offered you the option to purchase a new device at a discounted rate, which we believe is a fair and reasonable resolution.

I had an absolutely amazing experience…

I had an absolutely amazing experience with the Plasma Pen training. The course was incredibly well-structured, easy to follow, and packed with valuable information. The educators explained everything clearly, step by step, making even complex concepts feel simple and approachable.

I especially appreciated how thorough the training was, from safety protocols and theory to practical techniques and real-world application. The support provided throughout the training made me feel confident and fully prepared to start working with clients.

I’ve been using the CoolJet for over a…

I’ve been using the CoolJet for over a year now in all my facials, and I can honestly say it’s an amazing piece of technology. It works incredibly well for acne-prone skin, and especially for clients with a damaged skin barrier, where sensitivity, redness, and inflammation are common. I’ve had clients come in with skin burned from very strong active ingredients, and just one session with the CoolJet produced fantastic results.
It’s also incredible for pigmentation, fine lines, wrinkles, and overall skin health. I am so happy with my purchase , it has truly elevated my treatments.
The Louise Walsh company is brilliant too. Communication is easy, they are extremely helpful and fast, and working with them , from product advice to delivery , is just seamless. I highly recommend both the CoolJet device and the company behind it.

I purchased the Fusion8 machine in May…

I purchased the Fusion8 machine in May and I cannot express enough my gratitude to Louise, Lynne and Ansa for all of their help, support and constant guidance. The package they supported me with was fantastic and unique to my needs! The training and ongoing support is second to none! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company !!

This company is one of the best I have personally dealt with in the industry. Nothing is too much trouble and the trainers support is the best. It's refreshing to deal with a company that really cares and work with equipment that delivers results for my clients

fusion 8 is an extraordinary device ... it gives great results, i.e. extraordinary results.. the education is excellent.. Also the support group on what up.. Certainly if you haven't bought Fusion 8, I recommend that you buy it as soon as possible so that you don't lose your earnings

I don’t even know if I would be able to…

I don’t even know if I would be able to fit all of the problems with this company in this review.
This company firstly, gave me a lot of false information when I originally ordered my fusion glow machine.
They sent me a leaflet of pricings for the gas bottles that said the regulators were £5. (It was £156 with a discount).
They had me drive all the way to Liverpool to pick up a machine that wasn’t even there.
They then sent me a different regulator that didn’t fit on the machine. When I expressed how annoyed I was about this Louise phoned me up to tell me it was me! My fault and that I didn’t know what I was doing. (Then had to phone me back to apologise when she realised it actually didn’t fit).
I then contacted someone at plasma pen to ask if the machine was pat tested and tell them about all the problems I was having with the machine as they sent me a European plug and it keeps blowing the fuses in the adapters.
I was ignored. I’ve been ignored a lot actually.
I then realised that half of the heads that I paid for for the machine don’t actually fit on the machine so I can’t offer all of the treatments.
I have requested they take the machine back and give me a refund of the money I have paid currently. (Half of the value).
To which again, I was ignored!
Then I received a text message stating they would be taking legal action for the other half of the money for the machine that I haven’t paid as I want them to take it back and refund me the half I have already paid.
The machine is in warranty and is only a few months old and I have had nothing but problems with it.
I have spoken to another customer who has claimed she was also dismissed when going to the company with issues and told it was her to.
I have all the screenshots confirming everything I have written.
And I will next be taking legal action myself for a machine that I have been missold that is faulty.
I had high hopes for this company but the way I’ve been treated is vile.
To threaten me with legal action for money for a machine which is faulty that I’ve asked to return is hilarious.
To anybody reading this. I would think twice before spending thousands on any machine with this company because if anything does go wrong they will simply say it’s you and that they don’t have any issues with anybody else even though they do!
I am expecting their response to this to still be taking no accountability and claiming it is still me that is the problem! Ha!

Hahaha!! The reply. The constant lies are actually quite astounding!

They have stated earlier in the response that I ‘at no point asked to return the machine’ and then later in the same response state ‘I didn’t do it formally’ ha! Which one is it?
I also have videos of me trying to fit the ends onto the machine and they do not fit!!
The constant lies and trying to make out your customers are the ones at fault is astounding.
I swapped the training session DAYS in advance and did an online training with ansa. You promised me a training on the day I collected the machine and once I got there was told I couldn’t have training because it was a ‘content day’ and they were using the machine. To which I also have proof of!

Thank you for your comments, Hayley. While we are not surprised by your decision to leave a negative review, we do want to take this opportunity to clarify the situation from our side.

From the outset, we agreed that you would pay a 50% deposit and attend a face-to-face training session, during which you would receive the device, complete your training, and settle the balance. At the last moment, you advised us you could not attend the scheduled session and requested to collect the device the following day. Although this was not an official training day, our trainer accommodated you before leaving, providing a shorter session than originally planned.

Subsequently, you requested a device in a different colour and design. As a goodwill gesture, we arranged for a bespoke unit to be made for you. When you collected it, you also took a substantial quantity of products, with the assurance that you would pay the outstanding balance and product costs once home. To date, despite repeated reminders, those payments have not been received.

We acknowledge there were some initial issues with the gas connection; however, we dispute your claims regarding the device and tips. At no point did you request to return the unit, which we would have accepted and exchanged if genuinely faulty. Importantly, no other clients have experienced unresolved issues of this kind.

We are also aware that you contacted competitors, making negative statements about us, and sought to obtain test reports despite not having paid for your order in full. Given the circumstances, we did not feel obliged to provide additional documentation.

When we followed up regarding the outstanding payments, you asked us not to contact you further while on holiday, which we respected. However, when the matter remained unresolved, we did advise you that legal action may be pursued to recover the debt, as would be standard practice for any company.

At no stage have you attempted to return the device formally; instead, you demanded that we collect it and issue a full refund. Unfortunately, this is not an acceptable resolution given the history of the transaction.

We remain confident in our position and will defend ourselves with all supporting evidence should you wish to escalate the matter legally.

I have been using Louise Walsh plasma pen for a few years , I down my training face to face and I am now just going through everything on the student portal again , it’s all really great information provided to keep up to date with everything , excellent company and the plasma pen treatments are a great addition to any skin specialist

My clinic has the cool jet pro device and I can’t fault this company in their support with orders and training. I would fully recommend if you wanted to add a great device to your existing treatments then this company will support you.

So I received a full face lift at half…

So I received a full face lift at half price.

The price reflected the treatment. I was treated in a kitchen whilst she done nothing but smoke weed. I have video evidence.

Upon said treatment I have been left scarred following a treatment I was made to believe I needed.

When I messaged today stating fix my face. Olivia the last whom apparently represented the business told me to be careful as she had videos of my autistic daughter of which would make me look bad as a parent. Again all can be verified with proof.

Please stay away from this company at all costs. As Olivia will try and bully your children into submission for a good review.

She also stated Louise walsh owner and founder will back her despite illegal treatment. Again any proof required can be provided.

My third training with Plasma Pen was…

My first training with Plasma Pen was with a doctor in Scottsdale AZ in 2019. I had amazing results with Plasma Pen at my medspa in Glendale, Arizona. I am currently taking the online courses through the student portal to refresh my knowledge and techniques of Plasma Pen. Louise Walsh Academy has provided even more advanced education and techniques. I love the visual effects of how Plasma Pen works to tighten the skin. I encourage everyone to continue and refresh your education. It's worth it! I am getting ready to reopen a medspa in the Pittsburgh Pennsylvania area. Plasma Pen is the Best! I am also a laser tech and this training coincides with laser treatments. Thank you Louise Walsh for your excellent devices and revolutionary techniques! I love you and so do my clients!
