We have had a leaking floor-to-ceiling window in our bedroom for years. No one was ever able to properly help us, and there were many incorrect assumptions. As a result, it remained unclear exactly where the rainwater was coming in from — whether it was the silicone seal, the window itself, a leaking roof, the balcony planters, or something else entirely.

Mr Pohl came by straight away and carefully inspected the situation. He even went to the trouble of climbing onto the roof to examine everything thoroughly.

He quickly came to a clear conclusion: the silicone seal around the window was cracked and leaking.

Once the area was opened up, we could see that Mr Pohl had been absolutely right. The original window installers had done a poor job: instead of using proper insulating foam, they had simply sealed around the window with silicone, which had now cracked over time.

After all these years, we finally know exactly where the water was coming from and were able to carry out the necessary repairs in a targeted way.

We cannot thank Mr Pohl enough for solving a problem that had troubled us for years. He was highly competent, thorough, and exceptionally friendly throughout. We can wholeheartedly recommend him as a skilled and reliable professional.

The company made serious execution errors during our renovation and then abandoned the construction site without refunding the advance payment.

Spanish regulations were not complied with, which resulted in very high additional costs for us.

⚠️ Very disappointing experience with Stephan Pohl S.L. (Pohl Service Group)

I hired Stephan Pohl S.L. (operating under the name “Pohl Service Group”) for a major renovation project on my property in southern Spain. The experience was extremely disappointing, both in terms of execution and financial impact.

As the client, I experienced the following serious problems:

– Sewage pipes were installed with the wrong slope, causing drainage issues
– Water ingress in the basement due to missing waterproofing
– The HVAC system was poorly designed and installed, with visible technical errors
– Fan coils were mounted incorrectly and all had to be removed and reinstalled
– The insulation on pipes was damaged or improperly applied
– Full prepayment was required, but major parts of the work remained unfinished

💸 Independent assessments now estimate that professional remediation will exceed €200,000.

Despite repeated attempts to resolve the situation, no compensation or corrective work was offered. I am sharing this experience in the hope that others will avoid similar problems.
