A scam business model! I can just agree to earlier reviews. Its impossible to know how to cancel the Pro version. No confirmations of the agreement. No respond when trying to get in contact with the company when I finally found an email adress.
400 USD gone!

As others have said, their unsubscribe button doesn't really unsubscribe you and then they charge you for an entire year, which they refuse to refund even if you didn't use the software for a second (you thought you had unsubscribed successfully). It's a scammy business model

I did the free trial app and was sent no notice of an activation to a full priced $400 service fee. There are cheaper versions but I was charged $400. I did not know I had an account until I was charged on my amex. I did not use it beyond the first day of the trial. It produced a mushy version of what I scanned and was not of value to me. They refused to cancel my account.

Polycam more than doubled the price for the same functionality. I thought that since I was paying the same amount as the previous year I would get the same functionality. @149/year the software is now basically worthless. If you want basic functionality like measurements etc it is now $400/year. Unless you pay the renewal @ $400 it takes the measurements off previously scanned floorplans. Not nice or ethical. Now scam ware. I guess management would rather ride it down than keep up and offer value.

i signed up for a free trial. i was told to cancel by dec. 18th inorder to not be charged. I logged in on the 17th to cancel my account only to find out i had already been charged before my free trial ended. I reached out and I have so far been denied citing policy however i have the emails from them stating i would be charged ON THE 18th if i didnt cancel before then. I have now escalated things with them and send my screenshots in and have reached out to google play services. apparently this is not an uncommon issue with them.

I'm sorry, but the customer experience ist just bad so far. I tried contacting the company multiple times - never received a sinlge reply. Also, the pricing plans have changed. They have changed for the worse. Instead of paying 26 EUR for Polycam PRO with 1000 pictures, 15 minutes and every single export format, now you only get 35 EUR for Polycam BASIC with 300 pictures, 5 minutes and not even have DXF?! Are you seriously expecting students to pay 300 EUR just to be able to capture and export a single project?!

Polycam est un très bon logiciel, rien à dire sur ce sujet. Mais il est cher, très cher, en particulier pour un usage personnel et ponctuel. Une fois l’acquisition faite vous serez quasiment obligé de souscrire un abonnement pour exporter les données dans un format exploitable. L’abonnement est de 27€ pour 1 mois ou 200€ pour un an, donc, encore une fois, très coûteux pour un usage personnel. L’abonnement annuel est sélectionné par défaut et les 2 options étant positionnées très proches l’une de l’autre, j’ai par erreur validé l’abonnement annuel et l’ai payé via apple pay. Aussitôt l’erreur comprise j’ai contacté le staff de Polycam qui m’a rassuré, écrivant que dès qu’Apple me rembourserait ils modifieraient l’abonnement. Dans un premier temps Apple a accepté le remboursement mais rien n’arrivant sur mon compte bancaire au bout de 2 mois, j’ai appris que c’est Polycam qui en amont bloque l’opération. J’en conclu que l’équipe de Polycam a un comportement prédateur contre lequel je mets en garde ici les personnes qui souhaiteront tester ce logiciel. Il y en a d’autres. Désolant.

Polycam is a very good app — no complaints on that front. But it’s expensive, very expensive, especially for personal or occasional use. Once you’ve made your purchase, you’ll almost be forced to subscribe in order to export your data in a usable format. The subscription costs €27 for one month or €200 per year — again, extremely pricey for personal use.

The annual plan is selected by default, and since the two options are placed very close to each other, I accidentally confirmed the yearly subscription and paid through Apple Pay. As soon as I realized the mistake, I contacted Polycam’s support team. They reassured me, saying that as soon as Apple refunded me, they would adjust the subscription.

At first, Apple approved the refund, but after two months with no money appearing in my bank account, I learned that Polycam itself was blocking the operation on their end. I therefore conclude that Polycam’s team is engaging in predatory behavior, and I want to warn anyone considering trying this app. There are other options out there. Truly disappointing.

I bought a yearly student subscription and I took some captures of a house on my iphone. However, I cannot export any of the captures off of my phone to my computer because only a few seconds after I press 'process' the app closes. I read advice online that the phone may not have enough memory to open the 3D images, so I cleaned everything off my phone that I didn't need like photos and unused apps but it still won't stay open long enough for me to export my files. Customer service have not been much help either, practically ignoring my email.

I signed up for the free 1 week trial but found that the app was glitchy and dint work as needed. Especially when getting accurate floor plans. I canceled on the day it expired but still got charged the extortionate £119.99 for the year. I tried switching to the monthly payment to reduce and cancel but the app took both the £119.99 and the £22.99 and wont refund either. The team at Polycam just said to bring it up with Apple but its the wording on their app thats confusing just as much as Apple. Not worth even trying the Pro version IMO as it wont live up to the expectations you have in your head.
