My experience with Preloved Layton was unfortunately very different from the positive reviews you see here.

I previously worked for this business, and my experience as an employee was extremely disappointing. I had concerns regarding wage-related matters, which I raised with the appropriate Utah authorities. Following this, my employment was terminated. I cannot comment on the reasons behind that decision, but the overall experience left a very negative impression.

The way I felt treated by the owners was disappointing, and I did not feel that employee concerns were handled professionally or fairly.

I believe a business should be judged not only by its products, prices and appearance, but also by how it treats the people who work behind the scenes to keep it operating.

Customers may have a lovely shopping experience, but unfortunately, my experience working there was very different. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend this business as a place to work.

I submitted a advert over 4 weeks and its still pending!! Ive also emailed them 6 times with no response, avoid at all costs!!!

I tried to place a kitten advert on Preloved, but my listing sat waiting to be approved for three or four weeks and was never published. I emailed Preloved twice to ask what was happening, but I didn’t receive a reply or any explanation.
After waiting all that time with no response, I decided to delete my listings and close my account completely. Very poor customer service and a very frustrating experience. I wouldn’t use Preloved again.

Crap, use to be one of the best site but don't approve your adverts even when why paying a fortune for business subscription

DO NOT PAY A PENNY TO THIS SITE OR RENEW YOUR MEMBERSHIP !! ALL MEMBERS ASKING HAVE THEY GONE BUST AS ZERO AGENTS, CUSTOMER SERVICE & NO ADS EVER GO LIVE OR RENEW?? ?? Seems my last 3 reviews have been removed as not shown on here?? I've paid for full silver membership subscription & for the 4th time no ads get renewed or go live? No customer service team ever reply? Only 1 reply on here then nothing ever gets done so 54 plus others have shared same issues on here that this company is charging both buyers & sellers then zero response from customer service team? Ads never renew or go live? Zero agents ever available yet keep charging people to use this site. Everyone asking have they gone bust?? I renewed my ads once again early June & July yet non still gone live. This is a scam taking money from buyers & sellers & no customer service. I will now be closing my account & all future subscriptions!!

The website is absolutely useless and does not search for what you are looking for and tries to simply waste your time. Website designers need to understand that a website is for the users and not the designers who may understand how it works. Members need a proper website that functions straightforwardly. It's a mess.

Zero stars, not 1. Ad "pending" for 8 days so deleted it, no way to contact anyone to find out why. They've lost their desire and drive.

Have Preloved gone bust? It's the only explanation I can find for the mess they are in. I've been a member for 15 years and it used to be good, but now...........
Problem 1) Starting several months ago the messages between buyers and sellers became garbled. If you left out all punctuation and paragraphs it helped.
Problem 2) I my bank sent me a new debit card, and I upgraded from basic membership of £6 to Premium at £15. But I discovered that Preloved were charging me for both, and deducting the basic from the cancelled card! I complained to the bank, who tried to get sense out of Preloved. Nope. So they are trying to get my money back.
Problem 3: Alerts of incoming messages used to be emailed to me. Not for the past couple of weeks.
Problem 4: All my carefully crafted adverts have suddenly been taken down and ALL my messages have been deleted - the inbox is empty!
Problem 5: I can't open a new account.
Problem 6: Anyone know if Yoti is compulsory? I wondered if it might be, so tried to register. Nope, facial recognition isn't working.
Problem 7: Anyone know if Trustapp is compulsory? I couldn't find a way into that, either!
I have sent countless messages about the problems to them through their website over the past few months. Nothing improves and nobody answers.
THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I have had the same experience this week beginning mon 18th Nov 2025. I placed two adverts and paid for silver membership yet nothing has been activated by the administration. I used think Preloved was great and never had problems before but haven't had to place an ad for a few years. What is going on? I want my money back if they don't correct this within the next 48 hours. I have sent them an email today about it but still no reponse

I had a few items I wanted to sell. Previously, I used to post them on Preloved, and my adverts were approved — I sold lots of things that way. This time I thought I’d pay for the Premium service, which cost me £15 for the year. I posted ads 5 days ago and nothing has happened. No approval, no response — they’ve taken my £15.

I’ve had no reply to the emails I’ve sent. This site has gone downhill. They are scamming people out of money. If you can’t manage the business properly, then put a notice on your site and be honest: tell people not to upgrade their membership and deactivate that option. Don’t scam people. Give me my money back!

All help team apparently either gone AWOL or simply can't be bothered. I have been trying to change my email adress after this was involved with a breach, Been trying for five days now. No answer to three request emails. Still insisting I use a compromised email address to log in. So much for security!

I have tried and tried to retrieve or change password and preloved never send link to do this. I cannot log in ever.

Absolutely rubbish, I posted my advert five days ago and Preloved have still not made the advert go live. How are you supposed to sell things on their website. They don't even reply to your emails. Stay well away.

Great Canadian Clothing brand. Jules the owner is an extraordinary woman who has been at it for 30 years making great clothing while saving the planet. Everything I have ordered or purchased from them in store is beautifully designed, great fit and quality. I would highly recommend you trust your purchase with them as you get what you see and you are supporting local and fabulous women!

Not at all worth the work! After subtracting the booth cost, the tags and stickers cost, and the 40% from my sells, I would have made so much more had I sold my items at a yard sale. I will never sell there again.

very poor customer service (as mentioned by many others) it has gone downhill a lot over the last 2 years . Very difficult to put ads online , website is always problematic and has been for a few years now - I've had enough , not worth £25 per month , no more !!

Now the app is gone I've just tried to use this site on the laptop like the good old days.
