You should let your customers/new…
You should let your customers/new comers know about your extremely high shipping prices prior to them bidding on items. It’s not a good business when the customer is expected to pay a $200 shipping cost from the UK to the US for one bottle, and not even include shipping insurance. That’s ridiculous! I collect Scotch special edition bottles and never had to pay anywhere near that for shipping one 750ml bottle.

As we have already discussed, we provide completely transparent delivery costs on our dedicated "Shipping & Insurance" webpage: https://www.prestigewhiskyauction.com/shipping-and-insurance
This allows anyone to view the costs for delivering to ANY country, from 0.01 to 100kg. We deliver to the US using a 3rd party to ensure a swift and easy delivery with no customs issues (we cover taxes in US shipments as well which saves the buyer money).
When you registered to become a member with PWA, our website asks you to confirm that you have read and agree with our T&Cs - this was accepted. As per section 15.3, all buyers must check delivery costs as bids cannot be withdrawn (also stated in section 13.2).
These T&Cs help to protect the buyer from such instances but also ensure we do not disappoint a seller.
We are sorry that you are not happy with the shipping costs however we have to base this on what our courier charges us and these are in line with most UK auction houses. It is unfortunate that we could not reach a resolution despite offering various alternatives.

Above and beyond
I sold 2 bottles through Prestige Whisky Auction and it was a stress free and simple process. Nicola was very friendly and accommodating, absolutely went above and beyond to help me sell. We had one bottle arriving late but she managed to get it registered into the live auction, the communication was great and she was happy to answer my questions while guiding me through the process.
Both items sold and payment was made by the end of the week, I would absolutely recommend using them.
