Horrendous customer service

Nice coffee, shame about their customer service! Just signed up to their coffee subscription and have just
been accused of breaching there T&C’s and the fraud prevention team getting involved! They won’t or can’t provide the details! After two days of discussions they have finally refunded the subscription!

Second hand coffee

The staff at the Terminal 5 Heathrow branch have a habit of handing out returned coffees from one customer to another. Not particularly covid safe.
I've received a 'fresh' coffee only to find it with sugar added and lipstick marks on the lid.

Annoying

Fast customer service response but still took payment after I tried to cancel my Pret Barista but it didn't work for some reason. This was during lockdown by the way when my local store was closed and it was actually illegal to go out for a coffee. I don't understand how they didn't automatically pause payments like gyms etc. Predatory!

Deception and no help from their customer services

Their ad: "Enjoy all coffees for £20 and your first month FREE)
We subscribed and trusted them so we gave them our bank details to try their offer for free. Without any warning, they canceled the subscription after just a couple of days and they charged us £20 although it clearly stated that the first month was free!!!
We thought, it was a genuine mistake so we wrote to them on several occasions to complain and request a refund, they kept on replying with the same message asking us to give them the account email address which we had already given them. Their emails did not mention any names which clearly suggests that Pret a Manger use robots to reply to your queries!! Today, after several weeks, we still have not received any refund or genuine reply..

. Beaware that you you may be charged during the first month which is supposed to be a free trial!!

. Be aware that if you email their customer services with your queries and complaints, you may end up dealing with machines and receiving robot replies and you won't be able to reach them by telephone as their phone lines have been suspended unlike Costa and similar coffee companies (They blame it on the virus!)

Coffee is awful

Coffee is awful, latte tastes like some bad lukewarm watery coffee with a hint of milk. Union street London branch you literally can't get a hot coffee as they are sitting on the counter pre poured in cups with no lid on them..

Pret sandwiches I regard as a treat…

Pret sandwiches I regard as a treat they can be bit pricey, but after lockdown I thought I deserved a treat. However my French gruyere and ham was far from a treat. Bought early I thought fresh at Kings Cross branch its was soggy French bread and tasteless ingredients, thats the second time its happened with my posh cheese and pickle same thing. Answer won't be using Pret again. Maybe because they don't have the mass trade the sandwiches are yuck and especially at those prices.

Do your own calculations and demand the receipt immediately! The cashier just charged me twice for one of the items and didn’t give the receipt. When I came back for the receipt 2 minutes later, he said it was too late to print it. 53rd street and Broadway, New York

Slavery.

Worked with them for a week and they really apply modern slavery.
You must smile and be happy (even if you're not), managers are really bossy and will shout at you for anything, fear and threats will run underground but next minute you need to smile and do your 6 sandwiches per minute. I've worked in a few coffee shops but none with this sort of bad environment.

This is dangerous

I brought a ‘classic cheese toastie’ and it was a cheese and onion one so I asked them to change it and they refused and said I would of read the small print on the back, I shouldn’t need to read the small print it should say cheese and onion toastie. This is ridiculously dangerous that they are not saying what is actually in the product clearly. Very poor service aswel :( I will never go to Pret again!!!!! I hate onions and it was a complete waste of my money as I couldn’t eat it.

Pret on victoria street on the corner

Pret on victoria street on the corner. Walked in today 9.20am not busy at all, only me at the counter, I ask for a cappuccino, one girl takes a payment the other goes to make my drink. 20 secs and my drink is at the counter, the girl says cappuccino....

I leave and rush towards work, as I drink it it taste very watery...I open the lid....no foam/froth, just a watery coffee type, which was revolting akd seemed from those cheap vending machines.

I msged customer service from the form provided online and no response. Ruined my morning and a total waste of £2.55 and seems pret dont even care.! Shouldve stuck to STARBUCKS
