try to avoid if you can

I would give one star if I could. PPG send out prescriptions but they default to their choice of courier, DPD who in turn claimed I was out and could not sign for a parcel when I was in. PPG don't deserve the contract they have. You'd think when mistakes are made that going to another courier would be logical? Not if you are PPG. I do not hold out hope for my next prescription arriving. I had tried to deal with the situation but PPG's "super-intendant pharmacist", Daniel Gilbert did not want to speak to me. He'd been "in meetings" for at least two weeks. Eventually I was allowed a delivery c/o Royal Mail but only as a one off! Joke of a company.

I would give no stars if I could.

Lie about attempting to deliver your medication
Lie about a manager calling back to discuss
Lie about reattempting delivery the same day

Six whole days wasted because of their incompetence and lies!

AVOID

This is in relation to multiple failures of medication from this pharmacy .

In both November and December, deliveries via DPD failed over multiple consecutive days despite me being at home all day, with lights on and my car on the drive. Drivers did not knock or call, and incorrect delivery photos were used. In one instance, I had to physically chase the delivery van to obtain my medication.

In December, after two further failed delivery attempts, I was informed on day three that the pharmacy had changed the delivery date entirely until four days later, without consultation.

The logistics and operational side of the service is fundamentally flawed. This is particularly concerning during titration, where consistency and continuity of medication are essential.

I recieve other medication within my household which is delivered reliably via Royal Mail through the letterbox, demonstrating that safer and more reliable systems do exist.

The stress caused by repeated failures, poor communication, and lack of workable solutions has been significant as this is a controlled drug.

I have raised this with the pharmacy but they do not care.

awful company no patient care at all,

they received my prescription over 2 weeks ago, then it took them days to tell the prescriber they didnt have the same medication in stock so my prescriber changed it to one they did haver and they received the updated prescription a week ago and have still not dispatched it i have now been without medication for nearly 2 weeks. the service is awful, tried to call and the automated system gives 4 options to choose from, 1-3 is for issues with medication and 4 is to update address. 1-3 gives a response of invalid selection only option 4 seems to work but not had any one answer yet. it seems like they don't want people to report the issues hence why 1-3 is invalid. going to be requesting my prescriber use a different pharmacy. i am looking into how to sue them due to withdrawal effects making it hard for me to work.

Extremely unreliable

Extremely unreliable. They don't take phone calls. You email them, and all they reply is "can you give us your full name and date of birth", then they stop replying.

I now have several days gap in my medication because they can't be trusted to deliver medication in time. They also think they have the right to go home and ignore emails when they've been informed of severe withdrawal effects because of their negligence.

They don't understand they have a duty of care from the second they receive a prescription order from a psychiatrist. Please, let's start a class action lawsuit against them, so they understand the consequences of their actions, which are illegal under all intents and purposes.

If any GP or specialist uses this pharmacy, make it clear that you refuse to use it and choosing another pharmacy should come at the same cost you'd pay (or not pay if free of charge) for using this pharmacy, and they can't deny you the choice, as pharmacy service is legally bound to provide a consistent and reliable service, and so is your GP or specialist.

Fraud pharmacy

These cretins delayed my medication over a week with 2 failed deliveries because they can't get a simple phone number right (despite 2 calls by me to set it right). On top of that, only about 1 in 25 calls go through as there seems to be a singular person answering.

Truly a worthless fraud of a pharmacy.

Horrendous experience

A really poor experience working with systems that are nowhere near fit for purpose.

The wait for a 1 hour assessment is over 2 years.

I then had a further 10 month delay after that 2 year period before there was any available medication.

Then You are forced into dealing with a exceptionally not fit for purpose system or red tape & nonsense just to get some medication.

Physciatry UK issue your PAPER BY POST (Yes, welcome back to the 1980's) to Private pharmacy group, who then send the medication with Dpd.

You are asked to select delivery time frames, so I put Monday - Friday as i am having this delivered to work so I can guarantee I am here to receive it.

I was told by physciatry UK to call the pharmacy or email them, which I have done and nobody has answered or replied to an email, you just get " This extension cannot take your call"

Physciatry UK blame Private pharmacy group & Dpd.

They tell you to download the Dpd app which is also pointless as you are unable to select the correct delivery address on the app & also you can only use the app if you are registered with Dpd.

They tell you, you can register with Dpd on the app. You can't as there is no function to do so.

So when you mis your delivery because between the 3 businesses they can't simply deliver on time, you will find yourself into the 2nd week & you will, like me be chasing your medication for delivery again.

all in all a totally horrific experience & beyond problematic.

People are struggling enough as it is dealing with a diagnosis & all that comes with it, then you are sent through this mess or a system to simply get some medication.

It really makes you wonder "why bother"

I have now had 2 months in a row out of…

I have now had 2 months in a row out of 2 where my medication was delayed. I am furious as this is mental health medication. I stayed in all day and was assured by my dr it wouldn't happen again and it did. I now have no medication until middle of next week. Terrible service. Terrible customer service and you have left someone that could be suicidal without medication.

PPG have chosen an unreliable delivery company and they are ok with it.

PPG uses DPD to deliver my medications.
PPG have no means to instruct DPD's drivers to call me when downstairs as I have no doorbell. Apparently it's up to the driver alone to decide whether they call or not. DPD chooses to rearrange deliveries as it suits them. DPD's parcel tracking system is not accurate, 'real life times' are always wrong. At some point both DPD and PPG couldn't locate my parcel for almost two days and then came up with an excuse that the van was attacked.
PPG have offered no alternative solutions, they just use DPD to hide behind and avoid responsibility.

Perfect, couldn’t be better

I’ve been using PPG for the last 6 months or so for my medication. They receive my prescription and send me an email with a link for payment shortly after. After payment is processed, my medication always arrives the next day without fail - even if I pay on a Friday (before the cut-off time), it comes in less than 24 hours on the Saturday, thanks to both them and their reliable chosen courier (APC Overnight). My medication is always well packaged, the tablet boxes/bottles are labelled clearly, and the amount of tablets is always accurate. I have called them twice to check if they have received my prescription and both times, the people who answered were friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful! Amazing service, literally couldn’t name one thing they need to improve upon. Highly recommend.
