They say it’s not $1 but then you are signed up for something for $30 and they charge each month. Don’t do it!!!!
I purchased a $1 property report. A few days later I was charged $31. I called the company who said I signed up for a monthly installment plan. When I denied this the "customer service" agent said all transactions on their website come with an installment plan, it's in their terms of service. When I disputed that claim and read them the terms of service listed on their website, the agent continued to gas light me and say it was in their terms of service. I asked her to refund the credit card charge. She said she would process the refund and cancel the installment plan. I sure hope so.
Stay away from this website and their scams. The property info they will give you is freely available from the county government office.
I strongly advise everyone to stay far, far away from this company. This website is nothing, but a deceptive operation designed to take your money for worthless information.
The initial problem was that the site heavily spoofed or mimicked the appearance of legitimate local government records sites. I genuinely believed I was on an official portal when I entered my details and paid for what I thought were necessary records. After getting the email they sent, I realized it wasn't what I needed. I found the right local government website and paid for the info I needed. I didn't do anything more about the Propertyrecords.com. I figured it was a small fee, like a stupid tax, and just forgot about it.
What followed was absolute frustration. I only noticed months later that this little "fee" of $10 had led to recurring monthly billing for something that was completely worthless, and they charged me for it for the first time. They sent no follow-up emails, so I was unaware they were still billing me. It is total deception: you pay a small amount and then are trapped in an ongoing, unnecessary subscription cycle.
When I finally called them up to complain about the excessive charges, they were unhelpful and dishonest. I demanded a refund for all the bogus charges, especially since the service itself is junk. They refused any refund whatsoever, even though they were clearly the party responsible for this billing trap.
This is not a legitimate information source; it is an aggressively manipulative money-grab machine. Do yourself a favor and use official, recognized government channels instead. Save your time and money, and do NOT give them your personal details or credit card information. This company is a scam.
This is a scam. I used it once while filing income taxes. When I noticed recurring charges, I called and they told me I'd signed up to pay $9.95 every 16 days for 2 years. Unbelievable! I requested a refund, which I'm supposed to receive in 5-7 days, and immediate cancellation of the account.
Hidden Subscription Charges Without Clear Disclosure
I used PropertyRecords.com to get a property report and was surprised to find I’d been signed up for a subscription I didn’t knowingly agree to. The recurring charges weren’t made clear during checkout, which felt misleading.
The property information itself was basic, and while canceling the subscription wasn't difficult, but the fact that I had to cancel at all was frustrating. Transparency in pricing should be a priority, and I wouldn’t use this service again for that reason.
I don't ever remember applying for this. I don't know where this cam from. They talk about my account! What account?
When you try to purchase a single property search, they bombard you with addons just as you're ready to cash out. When you hesitate, your order disappears and then you get emails about an ongoing monthly fee for an account. They give you a number to call to cancel, which asks for an account number, which you never receive. Same with online chat and email. Don't use this company!
