Unfortunately, it has become unreliable since the end of 2025. It does not give the gifts it promises and constantly changes the terms of the game. Really, if the venture is not financially viable for you, stop making fun of amateur photographers....shame on you.

Terrible - they let you build up a bit. I was doing ok then I saw the rewards changed for the worse but I thought I'd keep it going... Then I suddenly get a your banned for 5 banned images. What wait I only use my own images and I didn't even have many on there, plus every one was scanned and approved by them??? I told them that and they just repeated what they said - I explained again and I got the same repeated reply - AI responding for them I wonder... Avoid

Before changing rules I would say it was ok.. After recent change of redemption rules it just waste of time.. voting system seems to be suspicious too...

If you wanna grind and do repetitive tasks for a few years, only to earn a couple of bucks, be my guest. Before they have the option to redeem 20 dollars, which is maybe a year of grind, now the minimum is 50 so, good luck 🤞

My recent experience with PulsePX redemptions, so others can make informed decisions:

Timeline:
Jan 27, 2026: Requested $20 USD redemption
Jan 29: Automated reply stating “2 business days”
Jan 30: Updated to “10 business days due to high volume”
Feb 9: Updated to “30 days as outlined in policy”
Feb 13: Payment finally received (17 days total)

Concerns:
1. Timeline kept changing: 2 days → 10 days → 30 days with each inquiry
2. “Internal financial processing issues” cited
3. “Higher volume of redemption requests than usual” - suggests platform stress
4. Required multiple escalations to get response

Positive:
- They did eventually pay within the revised timeline
Community Manager (Vic) responded and escalated, though I suspect the name was invented, and it still felt a bit like delaying tactics.
- Payment processed via Tremendous (legitimate third party)
- Important Copyright Note: PulsePX terms include an irrevocable licence to your content. Even after deleting photos, they retain rights forever. This is unusual and concerning compared to platforms like Adobe or Foto where licences are revocable.

My Decision: I've deleted all my content from PulsePX and I am in the process of withdrawing from 500px (same parent company - Visual China Group).
The combination of payment delays, predatory licensing terms, and Chinese ownership concerns led me to move to platforms with better photographer protections.

Alternatives I recommend:
- Foto (photographer-first, operational-only license, revocable)
-fotoapp.co
- Adobe Lightroom/Portfolio (operational-only license, revocable)
- Flickr (you choose your license, US-owned)

Bottom line: If you're earning PulsePX credits, be aware that redemptions may take weeks and require MULTIPLE follow-ups. Consider whether the time investment is worth it, given the better alternatives available.

Accumulating 16€ / USD $20 and then repeatedly trying to get them to honour the advertised scheme and pay out is just too time consuming.

My experience with PULSEpx has been deeply frustrating and has destroyed any trust I had in the platform.

I participated in a major photography competition where my image remained in the top position for almost three weeks through public voting. After voting ended, the image was disqualified. What followed was a series of shifting and contradictory explanations — first claiming the image was “off-topic,” then later alleging voting-related violations, and finally making vague references to “non-photographic content.”

Despite the seriousness of these implications, no specific rules, evidence, or details were ever provided. The image itself was never disputed as being photographic, authentic, or compliant during the competition, yet the result was overturned after the outcome became inconvenient.

After researching further, I found a significant number of users reporting similar issues: late-stage disqualifications, inconsistent enforcement of rules, lack of transparency, and problems receiving rewards. This points to a systemic issue rather than a one-off mistake.

I would strongly caution any photographer against investing time, effort, or money into competitions on this platform.

Le système de vote par comparaison est aberrant et ne peut pas donner des résultats justes. Il y a de superbes photos qui se trouvent bas dans le classement et d'autres, souvent de qualité moyenne, les devancent. Le vote consiste à voter pour une photo entre 2 proposées, la photos non choisie, aussi belle qu'elle soit, est désavantagée (perdante) par rapport à une photo moyennement bien qui a obtenu un vote positif. Le système de point attribués lors d'un vote est également incompréhensible ... si une photo est perdante d'un vote les points gagnés précédemment sont réduits ... Puis certaines photos ne défilent tout simplement plus et de ce fait perdent forcement des places. Pourquoi un système si compliqué et injuste ? Il serait tellement plus simple de faire defiler en scrollant toutes les photos et cliquer sur un petit coeur des photos aimées ... Ce système de vote (à mon avis pas valable et injuste), m'incite à quitter ce site

I’ve been using this app almost since the very beginning, and I want to share my honest experience so other creators know what to expect.

At first, I had only one account. Over time, I accumulated about $50 in winnings. When I requested a payout, the support team asked me to provide RAW files to confirm authorship. I submitted everything they asked for, and the payout was approved without any issues.

However, when I tried to request my second payout, my account was suddenly blocked with the explanation that my work was “AI-generated,” even though it wasn’t. I assumed maybe the problem was that I had retouched some photos using Photoshop generative tools, so I decided to start fresh and created a new account. I used that second account for quite a long time with no warnings, no strikes, nothing.

Everything was perfectly fine — until I once again tried to withdraw my winnings. Right after submitting the payout request, this second account also got banned, this time under the reason “duplicate account,” even though the only reason I ever made a new account was because the first one had been wrongly blocked after a previous payout attempt.

Based on my experience, it really feels like accounts get banned exactly at the moment when you try to withdraw your money. I’ve been with the app from its early days and genuinely liked using it, but this pattern is very concerning. I hope the team will address these issues transparently and stop penalizing long-term creators without clear explanations.

PULSEpx banned and removed my original photo from the Nature Close-Up contest, wrongly citing “copyright.” They even addressed me by another name, while I have RAW file proof I’m the creator. This was the second time this happend and only happens when you rank high in premium competetions.

I asked for reinstatement, refund of my 25 pixels, and to know who falsely claimed my work—no clear answers after days.

If anyone can steal your content and get you banned, how fair are these competitions really?

J’ai participé pendant un certain temps, mais à la longue la perte d’argent est trop importante. C’est payant et trop de photos « disqualifiées «  INJUSTEMENT auquel cas aucun remboursement ni même la possibilité de remplacer la photo. Cela frise un peu l’arnaque. Sans compter les conditions générale … Quant aux votes, ils ne peuvent pas être à leurs juste valeur dû à leur système de vote, présentant 2 photos parmis lesquelles il faut choisir sa préférence (choisir entre 2 très belles photo, il y a forcément une perdant, s'il faut choisir entre 2 photos quelconque -ou moyennes- celle que vous choisirez aura plus de chance que la très belles photo qui était perdante à votre vote précédent). Pour moi leur système de vote, ainsi que leurs manière de disqualifie (sans remboursement) rendent le site inintéressant ... je déconseille
