Same Deceptive story as others
Same story as others. Initial purchase 7/28/23. $29.99 subscription charge started showing up. I mistook it for legit charge by my spouse (she did get the stones but never intended any subscription) but then it kept coming (I thought she was ordering more stones - my bad not to check closer then) and eventually I saw charges at 4 day intervals.
I then checked website - found multiple grammatical errors there - always a bad sign. Phone call got me a "we don't do things by phone" message directing me back to their sketchy website. Trustpilot check showed all these same stories indicating the web customer service would not be helpful either. Contacted my credit card to cancel charges and initiate dispute. Will consider FL attorney general contact if I can't recover enough this way.
This is a total scam
This is a total scam. DO Not do Business With This Company!!! I don't have a login or membership, yet I am being charged for a membership. They have been fraudulently siphoning money out of my account each month and this is over state lines. I tried to report to the Better Business Bureau but the company doesn't exist. Can't report to attorney general because they don't exist but since it is mail fraud over state lines, that makes it a RICO case. Calling the FBI tomorrow. This unethical practice is going to cost them a bundle. No way to contact these people. No phone and no working email. Email has been disabled, I get a 404, page not found error. This review is my opinion from my experience. We are older and on a budget and they help themselves to our money, Absolutely Disgraceful !!!!!
This website is a subscription trap. Pure Criminality.
This website is a subscription trap. Without agreeing to become a member they charge your credit card $29.99, which you will not see until you check your credit card statement or monthly bill. Very scary. Not sure what they do with the credit card information even after trying to cancel the "fake subscription." Only way to contact them is by email. This site should be taken down. Pure criminality.
I had the exact same experience as…
I had the exact same experience as everyone on this site, except I did not actually complete my order. There were too many steps so I abandoned my cart. Despite that, they charged me for the product. Because it was so cheap, I let it slide. Then weeks later I get hit with a $29.99 subscription fee. Make no mistake about it, no way they are getting away with keeping money. I will go to ends of hell before I allow that to happen.
Avoid 'Pumicestonepros.com
Do NOT do business with this "company." Otherwise, you will receive inferior products; you will pay an extraordinary price for a "subscription" that you did not request (and do so repeatedly); and you will not receive a refund. It is reasonable to wonder about the legitimacy of this seller.
Unknowingly signed up for $30 subscription that they subsequently canceled
My experience was just as described by the previous reviewer. I paid $3.99 for the pumice stone product on 7/7/23 and on 7/21/23, two weeks later, I was charged $29.99. When I followed up via email, the only method available, saying that I would dispute the transaction if I did not get this charge refunded, they said I had signed up for a subscription, but that I could cancel the subscription. That without signing up for the subscription I would have paid $7.98 for the product.
Of course, just like the other reviewer, I did not see all these details, otherwise I wouldn’t have made the purchase. But they were gracious enough to cancel the subscription and refund my entire $29.99.
And so, while I did have a bit of a frustrating experience, since they resolved the issue, and very efficiently at that, I gave them a better rating than my fellow reviewer.
pumice stone for feet for $3.99 by pumicestoneco.com is a subscription trap
This company is a subsidiary of Premiumfoot.com. Four companies (pumicestoneco.com, pumicestonepros.com, premiumfoot.com and LiveWellx.com) work together. Their websites are similar and the 'modus operandi' to trap the customers into an unexpected subscription of $29.99 per month is also same. I bought a pumice stone advertised for $3.99 via a Google search that took me to this website. This advertisement is current even today. Fourteen days later my credit card was charged for $29.99. email responses from their customer service team indicated that this is for a subscription to LiveWellx.com webstore. According to them, I have opted in for the subscription during checkout and without the subscription, price would have been $7.98 plus tax. They also say that this is clearly displayed on the checkout page. I am confident that I would have never purchased the pumice stone if I had seen such statement or LiveWellx.com subscription for $29.99 per month during checkout. Clearly, these websites are using deceptive business practices to lure customers with deep discounts upfront and once the customer starts the purchase process, they get trapped into a subscription by the time they checkout the product. By then, credit card details and shipping information is on their files. Please note that you cannot cancel an order on their websites after checkout. These companies do not have any valid phone numbers and valid physical addresses. They are all web based traps. Their emails are never signed by any individual.
