Hello, I am an offline student of Quant System, following the lessons through the PTM Library.

The fourth round of PTM, up to the point I have reached so far, has had a tremendous impact on my trading. Although I am not a TWM student, thanks to their kindness in giving me invitation links to some of the sessions, I was able to watch Ali’s live trading sessions. Seeing his live trades helped me find my own path in trading to a great extent.

So far, I have been consistently profitable for three months, and this is the first time in five and a half years of being in this profession that I have experienced something like this.

What is happening for me is entirely the result of the teachings of Dr. Brooks, Mr. Moein Afshari, and my own effort and dedication.

I can also say the same from the perspective of some friends I have in this profession—people who had been struggling and feeling lost for several years, and who found much more clarity through Mr. Moein Afshari’s teachings. Naturally, when everything is going well, people rarely feel the need to leave a comment. But as soon as things go badly, we tend to want to make sure everyone knows about it.

I have read some of the negative comments people have posted, and honestly, I was quite disappointed to see that despite all the support and responsiveness they have received, some people still expect even more. Mr. Moein Afshari has personally answered many of my questions on his website with detailed and thorough responses, even though I am not even an official student of his. As far as his website is concerned, I am essentially just a name on the list.

My advice to those people would be to be a little more hardworking and take the process more seriously. There are so many people who are unofficially studying these materials right now, even under the pressure of war in Iran, dealing with all the difficulties and internet shutdowns, yet still doing everything they can to find the next lesson from this collection and learn it line by line.

You, on the other hand, have the ability to pay several thousand dollars and sit in the official, legitimate seats. All you need to do is take the exercises and research seriously, retain the concepts in your mind, and actually put them into practice. You will see for yourself how much this can impact your trading.

If you are someone who has the discipline and determination to sit down and put in the long, challenging, and intellectually demanding hours of practice, then the teachings of Quant System Academy can be very valuable to you. But there is no magic involved.

These teachers show you the path; you are the one who has to walk it.

I have followed Ali since late 2022. I was attracted to his ability to break down price action into quantifiable actions. Unlike the confusing descriptions I had seen in the BTC, Ali made trading seem structured and understandable.

PTM: I became a loyal subscriber and stayed until late 2024. The early recordings from 2022 to June 2023 were excellent, and the community was full of passionate and talented people. After that, however, the content became repetitive, new students often asked irrelevant questions, and sessions became long and unproductive. Early PTM: 5/5. After January 2024: 3/5 at most. I can't comment on PTM after 2024 because I was no longer there.

SA2: I joined SA2 2025 with high expectations. My goal was to computerize my trading systems, which I had already told him before joining. However, despite automation being part of the program's marketing, there was essentially no guidance at all. Whenever I asked Ali about that, he simply told me I was already good enough.

The biggest value of SA2 was meeting serious traders. But if you don't already know how to trade, I don't think the course provides much meaningful guidance, especially regarding trade exits. 2.5/5 in my opinion.

TWM: This is where things really went wrong. TWM was sold to me as a course about system execution. In the first session, Ali entered a long on an ATH liquidation day, held the losing position, and added 7-8 times before eventually turning it into a small win. He later explained that he hadn't slept well and that it was his first livestream.

Unfortunately, this pattern continued. He never traded a system. There were multiple questionable trades, including one where he added 9 times to a losing position that ultimately became a loss. Other times, he became completely paralyzed and took no trade in the entire session. Everything is clear in hindsight, but everything is a flip in real time for him. And he just uses "discretion" and "experience" as a universal excuse for his decisions. I think it has nothing to do with discretion but just bad trades.

What concerns me most is that Ali rarely reads the actual bar-by-bar price action. He focuses heavily on his expectations of the day types and historical charts that resemble the current day. He rarely discusses, real PA context: e.g. gaps, measured moves, support/resistances, or the actual PA bar by bar. And of course, most of the time, he is wrong.

His trade management makes this even worse. He rarely cuts losses quickly and often takes tiny profits, creating terrible risk/reward. I remember in a public 3-hour session where he risked $1,000 to make $30. His explanations afterward went from "not sleeping well" to "this is a low probability event" to "big institutions don't trade with stops," while encouraging students to trade like that.

Pardon my language, but I think this is pure BULLSHIT. After the session, I heard the Al Brooks community might have cut ties with QS because Ali was denied the invitation to the Price Action webinar. TWM is nothing quant or systematic. What he does is inconsistent from what he teaches.

I sent Ali two emails asking for answers or simply a conversation. I sent multiple QA requests before. He never replied. I also spoke with several TWM subscribers. some had already dropped out. None were happy to see it. We all gave critical & friendly feedback, but nothing changed.

Now, I honestly don't think Ali can trade at all. I don't sense the kind of thinking process from Ali that I would expect from a real price-action trader. The true "system" he adopts is called "Grid Martingale", which is a proven losing strategy.

My recommendation: early PTM (2022–2023) does help you to start your learning; SA2 is overpriced for its worth, you are mostly on your own and not much teaching; TWM is a failure.

I give an overall 1-star because, most knowledge taught in the courses are already found in the BTC communities and Dr. Tharps' books, which are mostly correct actually. But consider the high price and Ali shows that he doesn't do what he teaches and can't manage his trades well, I don't think he is qualified to be your coach. Brooks trading room seems a better place to be. And rely on yourself!

Update: Ali responded. He assumes I have lost a lot and blames me for the negative review. I don't think people care about me. He even attacks Trustpilot now.

Practically, Ali dodges all criticisms and continues on the same path. In Aug. session, Ali faded a mid-day TR BO, SCALED-IN forever and turned it into a HUGE LOSS. He can't see the TR-Trend transition because he doesn't read or doesn't know how to read the PA. This is the part I complain the most. Now he is saying he deliberately shows some bad trades and calls them educational? I don't believe nobody wants them and this is just another excuse.

I joined Ali’s System Academy and PTM looking to become a better trader, but I ended up gaining much more than that.

Ali is an exceptional teacher with a rare ability to explain complex concepts in a way that actually makes sense. He doesn’t just teach strategies—he teaches how to think, manage risk, and develop the discipline required to succeed over the long term. His honesty about the work and time it takes to become consistently profitable is something I really respect.

Just as importantly, Ali and his team genuinely care about their students. The support, professionalism, and willingness to help are second to none. Over the years, Ali has become not only a mentor but also a good friend, and I’m truly grateful for everything I’ve learned from him.

If you’re serious about becoming a professional trader and are willing to put in the work, I can’t recommend System Academy and PTM highly enough. Thank you, Ali and the entire team, for everything you do.

My experience with Ali, Quant Systems, and the Pro Trader Mentoring (PTM) course is best summarized as follows:

Ali and his team at Quant Systems gave me the tools I needed to succeed, invested in me personally, and provided an educational experience with depth, clarity, and structure. His generosity of spirit, patience, and care for his students allowed me to build consistency and profitability in my trading.

Before PTM, I was lost as to how to implement price action concepts, even after studying Al Brooks’ courses. I found the market intimidating and vexing. Thanks to Ali, that is no longer the case.

More Details:
Pre-PTM, my trading was chaotic and unfocused. I participated in Pro Trader Mentoring from 2024 until this year’s final session. Over that time, I found Ali to be what I needed: a highly competent trader and an excellent educator. His material was clear, organized, directional, specific, and actionable. It helped me find a trading style that works and matches how I naturally approach the market.

Ali’s approach emphasizes providing students with the tools they need to create their own success:
1: The Lessons: Provide students with as complete a description and exploration of fundamental concepts as possible.
2: The Structure: Coursework ordered so that concepts build as linearly as possible
3: The Mentoring: Directional guidance to help students pick concepts that align with their natural interests and skills to develop a robust, disciplined edge within the markets through homework assignments, studies, and direct guidance/advice.

Ultimately, what you get out of Quant Systems' coursework is what you put into it. While the breadth and depth of knowledge was immense, developing the understanding of these concepts to an actionable level always required additional work outside of the classroom. The beauty of that is that each student can choose which concepts he wants to trade and almost always find a clear knowledge base and study approach for that concept.

In my experience, Ali’s character also demands respect. His teaching approach was open, generous, and patient. He clearly cared about our success and accommodated us constantly. Even now, months after PTM has ended, he still engages with our group and continues to invest in us without asking anything in return.

I had the privilege of being mentored by Ali Moin-Afshari as part of Systems Academy 2. Ali is a skilled trading system designer and above all a patient teacher. He never glossed over difficult concepts — he took the time to make sure we understood the reasoning behind each approach. Many of Ali’s techniques are study methods that complement price action as taught by Al Brooks. Using these study methods, and true to what Ali stated in the intake interview, I reached consistent profitability in my second year. Ali was always honest that this skill takes time to develop. I'm grateful for his guidance and would recommend him to anyone serious about learning to trade for a living.

I was an SA2 student in Ali's 2025 class, and there is no other trading education with more breadth, detail and professionalism. I was an education/strategy hopper for the three prior years, so I'm very in tune with what exists. In addition, the learning environment and space that Ali created for us to progress is unmatched. In fact, words don't give it justice; if you want to succeed in this very difficult business, QuantSystems will give you the best shot. It's a graduate-level course for people that are extremely committed to learning the craft of trading price action. The guy who wrote the bad review was in my class, and not only does the immaturity in his review shine through, he never showed up, didn't do an ounce of work, did not participate, did not ask any questions and did not complete (or even begin) his research thesis. We formed a trading group post-SA2, and he was the only person that we had to kick out for inappropriate behavior. If you want real feedback on QuantSystems, I would ignore him. And I can assure you, I'm not a brainwashed North Korean. Every single person who worked hard to process the material via class, group studies and research now understands market behavior in way that most people will never. It's an expensive commitment, but it was worth it.

I took the SA2 course in 2025. I probably had less experience and detailed knowledge than the other students so felt it was a steep learning curve. The course materials were excellent and the educational programme for system design complete.
The mentoring sessions were weekly and relied on students undertaking research and building systems to take the benefit of Ali's guidance. He is a brilliant educator and an expert in his field.
This is not a course for people who want to be spoon fed a system somebody else has developed nor is it an opportunity to harvest the ideas of others as some people may have hoped. This is a serious course for people who aspire to be professional traders and are willing to dedicate a large amount of time and effort to reach that goal. It is also an opportunity to connect with a network of like-minded people and a community that encourages and supports each other. This has been the most beneficial part of the programme for me and I would do it again.

Quant Systems is like North Korea. Some students have a blind devotion to the Dear Leader. The majority keep quiet but are privately disillusioned, unimpressed and angry. I will not stay silent and allow another batch of students to spend tens of thousands of dollars without having the complete picture.

I have carefully recorded every trade and execution Ali has made during the TWM sessions over the last 9 months from Sept'25 - May'26. The results speak for themselves. I will make the raw data available to anyone who wishes to see it.

• Total Profit: $1,952 | Total Losses: -$1,770 | Net Profit: $182
• Profit Factor: 1.1
• Average Win: $92.96 | Average Loss: -$252.86
• Average PNL: $5.53 Per Trade | $20.26 Per Day
• Total Accumulated Drawdown (MAE): -$6,595

Here is what we can derive from these results:
• Breakeven Trader: Ali Moin-Afshari is a breakeven trader. Across 9 months of live trading on TWM, the net result is a meagre $182 with a profit factor of 1.1.
• Skewed Risk-to-Reward: Ali’s average loss ($252) is nearly triple the average win ($92). This requires a win rate of 73% just to breakeven.
• Huge Risk Profile: Ali’s actual-risk to reward ratio is 37:1. He endured a total of $6595 in drawdown across all trades to make just $182 in Net profit. He repeatedly moves his stop-loss further and further away while scaling into losers like he’s a beginner trading a demo account with no risk management.
• Severe Drawdowns: 14 trades (almost half) experienced drawdowns exceeding 30x the average profit-per-trade, with drawdowns ranging from -$150 to -$1,246. In one instance, a drawdown of $1,006.25 (on Micro contracts) was endured to secure a nominal profit of just $3 - a 300:1 actual risk-reward ratio.

I haven’t been able to find a single prop-firm challenge that Ali would have passed based on his 9-month performance.

The Lie: Breakout and Follow-through second-leg trades using Ali’s Paintbar have high probability
The Truth: Some of Ali's worst trades were this setup, immediately going against him and requiring huge drawdowns for tiny profit. If the guy who invented this setup can’t trade it, then how can you? The students in my SA2 class who studied this setup had mediocre results.

The Lie: The SA2 Course material contains unique content you cannot find anywhere else
The Truth: Everything in the course you can find in the works of Perry Kaufman and Van Tharp - there's nothing new. If you’re interested in trading systems development, I’d recommend saving yourself $20,000 and reading “Kaufman Constructs Trading Systems” for a starter.

The Lie: Ali has a high win rate.
The Truth: He goes into thousands in drawdown on Micros only to get out with a tiny profit. Trading in this manner skews his win-rate, yes his win rate is high at 75% - just above his breakeven rate of 73%. But don’t be fooled and fall for his sales pitch citing a high win rate. You will blow your account if you trade like him.

The Lie: SA2 Students who dedicate themselves to their systems projects get results.
The Truth: The students in my class who threw themselves into their projects, presented their results to the whole class. Their results were mediocre, inconsistent and a common theme was that the results looked good on paper but the systems were untradable in practice due to drawdowns. Nobody in my class is rich from QuantSystems.

The Lie: Ali Moin-Afshari is an elite trader and his mentorship is worth the thousands of dollars he charges
The Truth: Ali is a mediocre, breakeven trader. His live trading stats speak for themselves. He has the practical skill of a 4-5 year student, not a 20-year student as he claims. He has a lot of “Theoretical knowledge”, but given that his practical trading ability is so poor, that "knowledge" clearly doesn't help Ali himself trade well, so it probably won't help you.

The Lie: Everything in TWM (Trade With Me) is transparent.
The Truth: The Q&A during live sessions is heavily moderated. Any questions that are critical of The Dear Leader’s performance or mention his drawdowns are filtered out and not visible to the rest of the attendees. You pay thousands of dollars and they censor you to maintain the collective delusion.

Summary:

I have spent $25,891 on QuantSystems - a devastating and expensive mistake that I got zero value from. When I asked Ali for a refund he mocked me for not being successful. I would implore anyone who reads this to save your money. Your course fees give Ali the financial cushion to trade like he's on a demo account: trading badly, without risk management and without experiencing the real financial risk that the rest of us need to endure. He isn't the expert trader he claims to be. Save your capital for yourself and do not finance this mediocre breakeven trader.

Ali and his team are dedicated to their craft and provide high quality education. This is the best money spent in a space that is riddled with scammers.

I began trading E-minis in early 2023, but for two years, I was trapped in a cycle of frustration and overwhelm. Despite my efforts, I couldn't find a consistent path forward until I discovered PTM (Pro Trader Mentoring) and TWM (Trade With Me). Since joining, the "fog" has finally cleared, and I’ve replaced confusion with a structured, professional understanding of Price Action and market mechanics.

The Missing Pieces of the Puzzle

Before finding QuantSystems, I lacked a clear roadmap. TWM stands out because it provides the four essential components every learning trader needs:

In the last five months, I have moved into trading XFAs consistently. While I still have much to learn, I finally have the solace of knowing exactly what is required to reach my goals.

Mr. Afshari is a modern master who understands the craft at a level that can only be described as superhuman. However, it is his approach as a teacher that is most impactful. He is exceptionally kind and patient, answering even the simplest questions in detail. He demystifies the "magic" of trading by showing us that his level of success is possible for anyone willing to put in the necessary work.

Final Thoughts

Trading is a performance sport and the purest form of knowledge work. In any high-stakes activity, the differentiator between average and world-class performance is the quality of your coach. Joining TWM was the best decision of my journey. I am forever grateful to the QuantSystems team for providing the path to true success.

I highly recommend this course to anyone looking for a structured education and a professional program who is serious about approaching Trading as a career.

I have spent a great deal of time and money in books and courses on trading; I have followed the trades of traders that I know were making lot of money on the market: none of these gave me the hedge I needed to become consistently profitable. I eventually came across Dr Brooks books, who opened my mind to the reality of Price Action Trading and eventually I was introduced to the Quant Systems courses. Ali and his team provided me with the ultimate guide on how to become a profitable trader.
I took part in all the available courses: I believe anyone that is serious about trading will benefit from them. All the team members are skilled traders and gifted teachers. I have chosen Ali as my mentor: he has been incredibly helpful to me and very generous with his time: I feel honoured to be among his students.
To me trading is a bit like wanting to climb mount Everest without being a professional alpinist: I have no chance to succeed on my own. My best bet is to avail of a professional and reputable company to accompany in the journey: Quant System is that company in the trading universe. it is still not going to be easy and it is certainly not for everybody, but if you want a chance to achieve consistent profitability, you cannot do better than learn from Ali and his team.

I honestly think the Quant System covers critical pieces of the puzzle that no other PA course on the market does.

I’ve been grinding PA for over 2 years, studied the Brook's Trading Course (BTC) 2+ times, and journaled trading logs every single day. But I always felt like I made little progress and something was missing—specifically the details. Things like the properties of a single candle, its location, and how it fits into the market cycle and structure. These details completely change how you interpret the context.

Even though BTC is a legendary course, it (and others) lacks this level of detail. They don't tell you exactly how to react in specific scenarios like TWM does. I tell my friends all the time: without TWM, it would’ve taken me another 1-2 years to get to where I am now.

Also, PTM is invaluable for the direct access to Ali. Being able to ask him questions directly saves me weeks or months of trying to figure things out by myself.

Incredible course. For the price and the time it saves you, it’s a no-brainer for any trader wanting to level up!

Great Job by the team... Such great Value

I started learning price action through the Al Brooks course. While it was very educational, as a beginner I felt overwhelmed by the sheer volume of information and struggled to connect everything into a clear, practical framework. That’s when I discovered QuantSystem and Ali Afshari.

I’ve been Ali’s student and a PTM member for 32 months now. Ali is a professional trader and an exceptionally capable instructor. Through his teaching, I was able to develop a much clearer, more structured, and practical understanding of price action and move past the confusion I initially had. With the education I received from Ali, I was able to achieve payouts from multiple prop firms.
