You can make really great friends there, but some people are not it. I also hope anyone who uses this does not get addicted like I did. I went on Q every. single. day. for over a year. I had multiple accounts to make friends. I was slowly falling deeper and deeper into the "obsessed category." It was only when life got too busy and I stopped using the site every day that I was clear from my addiction. My advise: get out while you can. Limit yourself to only 30-45 minutes a day- but even that could corrupt you. The Q admin also aren't very helpful and you can get attacked for being outspoken about your beliefs. Be careful.

It's the site I write my own stuff on, and I mostly just participate in writing contests or take quizzez and surveys. There have been people giving the site bad reviews because of a specific creation posted on quotev, which is just not fair. I haven't gotten any bad experiences, but I also never really interact with others there so. Take this as you please.

At first everything was fine, but since I posted about having a gay relationship with someone, my account was disabled for violating their policies. It hasn't even been 24 hours since I posted it. At first, some friends complained about similar experiences, but now I have actually witnessed it, leading me to believe that the developers are homophobic.

Well, I first created my account when I was 11. I made a few good friends on here. I really enjoyed myself while on this site. However, what I didn't realize at the time was that it was slowly taking me over. I was addicted to it. I was always thinking about it. It was like I couldn't escape it, no matter what I did. Then, my parents stepped in. I still continued on it but only spent 30-45 minutes at the most. Just a few hours ago, I found out that a friend I had made had decided to leave because he had realized that it was sucking him in as well. He says, "it's like a sinkhole that's really, really hard to get out of." I realized that it still had an element of control over me. I myself had created three accounts: one main one that I invested all of my time into and two backup ones. I ultimately decided to log out and take a break. Even though I'll be abandoning one of my best friends, it's for my own good. I have to take back control. This site is evil.

This website is awsome! It's easy to navigate through and I'd highly recommend making a account. Best thing of all though; you don't need a account to scroll through the website and read! But not just that; you can also make polls and stories with a account. I'm a Quotever myself and I love to use it. No problems with adds, or any of the sort. I have a account because I wanted to write. Also I wanted to comment on a quiz, lol. It's a great place to make friend. Nothing is really annoying. I although do have to say this one annoying thing, there is this one glitch I keep having where I'm in a editor chat and I get a notification saying I got a message. I click on the notification and at the bottom the editor chat is still there. No big deal though. BUT AMAZING WEBSITE!! Also EVERY HATER STOP HATING OUR HOME!!!

Multiple reasons as to why Quotev sucks.
Quotev is an app ran by woke leftists kids who fake mental disorders. And that may sounds ridiculous but its not. I have been harassed by kids who fake mental disorders (DID) and was told to die, kill myself, called a dumbass by multiple people and then banned because I said something like "white people can face racism". Keep in mind I wasn't mean to anyone, I just got harassed and gang up on.
Something I do see people complain about is inappropriate stories that their kids read when its THEIR FAULT for not monitoring their kids. Quotev had a way of ranking content mature and not mature, not to mention Quotev author's already clarify (majority of the time) if their content is for mature audience or not. So play your kid or yourself, not Quotev.

As a concerned parent, I checked the reviews on the site. I wanted to give site benefit of the doubt since my daughter was so interested in it. As reported by other parents, there was highly inappropriate content for a story about a video game... A story called Gentle Breeze, supposedly following the plot of the game Genshin Impact, It seemed harmless enough till you reach a point where there is heavy kissing and petting going on. The site is not rated in any way; more or less a free for all. Keep this drivel from your kids!!!

They helped me get my account back I lost a while ago

From my own experience, Quotev is a great site to be on and tops places like Wattpad with so many hidden gems. Although most of the reviews for the site are negative due to banning or reporting, I have never been targeted by admins or cyberbullied. It all really depends on the people you interact with. I've been on the site for numerous years and have met countless people, but most I've met are relatively friendly. Of course, there will be sour apples, but alas, there's going to be that wherever you go. If you don't want to be a target, don't put yourself in their line of view. That simple; don't expect the admins to care for jack. But other than that lots of great stories, quizzes, and roleplay partners. But BEWARE, most people I've met on the site are primarily minors.

Love the thing and I spend way too much time on it, but c'mon what the hell is up with the mods/management if there even is one.

This is a heart felt review. I had Quotev for quite a few years, I was @OnlyWoundsHealNeverScars. But while I made a friend or two, it was not worth what I gave up. I gave up hours of my time, I started to actually get addicted to this site. Ive never had great mental help but this site worsened it. I became very suicidal after a good bit and got into drinking and self harm. And I was only 17. That’s when my account got banned.

Because- and this is another hugely toxic trait of Quotev- you are not allowed to have different political views then everyone else. And I said simply that I love and support the police. Half of my family are first responders and the other half are military. So I am very very pro police. But this got me banned.

That’s when my depression spiked again and I was actually hospitalized for a suicide attempt. Then, sadly, I got back on Quotev. Skipping more of the story, it’s to a few months ago. Ares, a very close friend, began dating a girl and it was going well until my deployment. I’m 19 currently and had joined the American Army. I am currently still serving. At that time in our deployment, stuff went down.

In a group in Quotev, which I joined a while ago, I got into an argument. My account gone as well as my friends. I attempted again. So here I am now. Still in the hospital currently.

My advice to you all. Please please don’t go on Quotev. You’ll only get hurt. It’s not good for you. Especially the kiddos. Please if you’re young, please stay away for this site. I may sound like a old hound rn but I’ve been to hell and that hell is named Quotev.

I am an old-time user of this website. I have been using it since I was 11 years old, I'm an adult now. This site is blatantly dangerous. I permanently deleted my account a couple months ago after realizing how awful this site as been for myself and my mental health.

There is zero moderation on this site. People can post pictures of self-harm and get away with it, and they do all the time. There is no way to get a proper response when you report somebody.
You can get DMs from grown adults on this site and they will send you graphic vents.

There is pornographic stories written on this site and again, zero moderation whatsoever.

There is so much stolen art, harassment, and abuse that goes on in this website. There is no way to report it and get a reliable response.

This website is dangerous, it has caused me years of trauma. I have been exposed to pornographic material as a minor, I have seen self-harm and self-harm scars on this website. There is a lot of glorification of mental illness on this site, and there are a lot of minors on this site who lie about their age with zero consequences.

This site needs to either be better moderated or taken down entirely for the safety on minors on this platform. It's genuinely dangerous what goes on there.

I've been with them since 2012, but customer service is none existent. It's like this website is run by ghosts. I've reached out so many times to them, but they never respond.

I Got Banned On Quotev.. And I Told Them To Unban Me But I Didn't Get A Response... Please Unban My Account..

Okokok so I was quite popular on this site. I had around ~4800 followers, and this site is really good if you meet the right audience and mutuals. However, a lot of drama is rampant and the admins do a terrible job on deleting and disabling the right people, and letting people know on how long they’re being banned for.

I fell victim into disablement— and I have no idea how long it’ll persist for. I said a silly little joke to someone who was defending a racist person’s actions, which led to me and other user’s downfalls. The admins have been incredibly stingy with me and haven’t been responding to me or my friend’s appeals who have been begging for some sort of redemption. There’s really nothing you can do other than to wait it out, unfortunately.

The Quotev admins identities are also incredibly secretive. Nobody knows who they are, and a lot of people speculate that the website’s administrative system is being ran automatically by bots. Which honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if that was the case. Almost on every other platform, you’re able to contact staff and talk to the admins. That’s not how it works on Quotev— you have at least a very slim chance of getting your account back. Otherwise, you have to wait at least for a few months, maybe a year, or god— perhaps even forever. But usually, people have claimed that the bans last for 6
months. Quotev NEVER specifies how long the IP bans are for, thus inspiring people to commit deviance against Quotev, and evading the ban. Which either is successful or not. I also don’t know if avoiding the restrictions and getting banned again adds time to your previous ban.

This is an issue that a LOT of people have been voicing about for YEARS. Quotev hasn’t done anything, which is why the website is a cesspool of toxicity and immaturity.

If you’re going to linger on this site, tread carefully. 4 years on this site for me have been stricken down, and god knows when I’ll ever be able to return.

Idk what everyone says, I’m a quotev user who joined on 2020, therefore I’ve spent two years here and it’s my home now. I’m a feedspammer and they are the best. This website saved me from depression during COVID 19 days. I’ll say, this is a great website once you get to know the correct people. There’s always a block and report option.

The worse site I've ever been on ,I got reported for no reason saying I was a previously banned user when I was not.i garenty you I will not get a dam response ,that it I'm going to ban this community I'm getting a petition.im becoming sick of these stupid people getting away with no admin or response.im sick of being reported because admins are complete ficking garage.ill make another review and post the link for ban of quotev.you messed up quotev.

This site has a habit of banning innocent people who have not done anything. The Website in general is managed awfully and users have almost no communication with owners/admins. If you get banned wrongfully there is almost nothing to do about it except wait out the unreasonably long ban periods. The website is full of nasty people who never seem to get any repercussions for what they do, yet they will ban you if you have done the slightest wrong thing. Oh, also, Good luck trying to get your account back. I personally think Quotev's system has too many flaws and needs to be worked on a lot, if the owner/admins remember that the site exists. The suspensions/IP bans are very obviously performed by an AI, I mean c'mon, this place doesn't even have a profile of who owns the site.

Lets get started on the users, the community can be incredibly toxic and harmful. The site is full of people whose only purpose is to intentionally annoy you or bully people. It is difficult to get by on the website without bumping into "drama."

I love quotev so much! It is a great site for making friends, reading and writing fanfiction as well as original stories. You can also make and take quizzes and though there have recently been some problems, I think it was created with good intent and has served me very well.

This needs to be banned ,I'm going to agree with the negative comments down below.my friend a long time ago.made an option on her account.but was called racist even though there was no bashing of any kind.then when she made a gxb group.people attacked her harassed her falsely reported her.then she got banned.they entered her group to attack her more.spammed her by saying "homophone" when she herself was bi.then they attacked her for saying something like "have you tried a hobby ". Because she herself does it for depression.she didn't say anything ablist or try to force someone.not only do the users try to promote disability .they sure have a way ,of trying to help them.ya got masterbate yourself quotev.the Admins don't care about the disabled and allow her users to harass people despite their polices.good going quotev admins. I'm clapping for your stupidity.
