Great kit AND customer service!

I bought a Quroc Crossover board way back in September 2020. It was my third paddleboard and remains my favourite. Stiff, light and stable, used in fast flowing rivers and in choppy seas. And the paddle that came with it is equally good. A friend of mine who owns an outdoor activity company was blown away when he borrowed it and immediately bought a paddle for his personal board before ordering boards for his company. Four years on I managed to mangle the valve - entirely my own fault - I was forcing the pump into the valve in the dark while racing to catch a dawn tide on my local river. Yesterday I called Quroc to ask about a replacement valve and mentioned that I wanted to repair it before I went on holiday TOMORROW. This morning, less than 24 hours later, the replacement part arrived at my door, completely free of charge. I've just installed and tested it and I'm back up and running. I honestly can't recommend these guys highly enough.

I currently own 2 (going in 3) Quroc…

I currently own 2 (going in 3) Quroc boards. I have in the past owned big brands boards. Without the shadow of a doubt, Qurocs are the most versatile, reliable boards of them all.
In terms of paddles, the ones that come with the boards are extremely light and top quality.
You get a lot of extra gear in the package. Each and every item is useful and designed with sustainability in mind.

All in all the best value for money you will get in the market. No gimmicks, just splendid boards designed to last.

Finally, on a very personal note - the customer service I have received from Quroc has been absolutely stupendous.

In a nutshell, it doesn't get any better!!!

Quroc Allwater 13’

Once I had decided to by an isup, I knew that I didn’t want to spend money on a board that I would quickly grow out of, so I did a lot of research into which one would best suit me.
I wanted it to be long enough to give me some glide and a good amount of tracking, but also wide enough to be stable so that it gave me confidence.
As I’m quite short, (5’3”) the 32” wide boards meant that I had to lean slightly to put my paddle in, making me feel a little unstable. However, I wasn’t confident that I am good enough that I would be stable on a narrower 30” board.
I was lucky enough to be able to try out several boards from friends, and one of them has a Quroc Allwater 13’.
For me it seemed like the Goldilocks of boards because 13’ gives it glide and tracking, but the 31” width gave good stability.
However, I had been offered a discount on a board from another well respected brand, and so, I was scared to make the wrong decision on a board costing me hundreds of pounds.
I emailed both companies several times with questions that I had. Both replied and answered every one, and both gave me lots of information that I needed to make my decision, but Andrew from Quroc was so patient and I didn’t once feel like he was just trying to make a sale.
Eventually, I took the plunge and bought an Allwater 13’ package last October.
My board arrived and I excitedly unpacked it.
Unfortunately one of the side fins was missing and, as I was going to be using the board that weekend, I phoned Quroc.
Even though the warehouse had already closed for the weekend, Andrew somehow managed to get one sent out to me, and it arrived the next morning!
I haven’t left my review sooner because, even though I was happy and I found the board easy to use, I had only used it a handful of times during the winter, but I have just got back from a week in the Lake District, and now I know that absolutely love it!
I still consider myself a beginner, but I paddled with experienced paddlers, and didn’t feel that I couldn’t keep up. I was also confident enough to move away from my friends sometimes because the stability of my board gave me confidence.
Even when the wind picked up and created some waves, I went on my knees and was able to stay on top of my board and keep on paddling against the winds.
The quality of the package, the patient, non-pushy customer service make me sure that I have made the right choice.
Whatever your level of experience, if you are looking to buy your first, or your next board, I highly recommend giving Quroc boards a good look. I am so glad I did.

The perfect setup

Guess what? My board came with all the gear I needed, from the pump to the dry bag. It’s so well thought out. Love it!

Customer care is top-notch

In my experience, the team was super helpful when I needed advice on choosing the right size. They even replaced a damaged item without hesitation. The whole process was so smooth, and I've been loving my weekend paddles ever since. Huge TY to them for making this right.

Leak in QI Crossover 10.6

I really wished I wouldn’t have to write this but I must if I want the truth to be known.

First of all, I want to say that my native language is French so I ask you to be forgiving for my English.

I am from Canada and last June I bought a QI Crossover 10.6. I must say I was really willing to own this board because I bought it even though Andrew told me that they wouldn’t be able to offer any repairs since I am overseas. I accepted these conditions after having read very positive reviews about Quroc boards and their exceptional reliability and high valued customer service.

I discovered a few weeks ago that my paddle board was leaking and in the most unusual way possible: it was leaking through the mat even though I was not possible to see any puncture on it, even with a magnifying glass that is used in a shop for electronics repairs.

So I got in touch with Quroc and Andrew told me that there isn’t any single point of failure possible in this part of the board since it is all made with one piece of PVC without any joint under the mat. He continued by telling me that they never experience a failure in eleven years and that this kind of leak was always due to customer puncturing the board. But he never took any time to question about what I had before my eyes.

The thing is that the two leaks are just near the junction between two pieces of mat material glued next to each other so as to form the graphics (black and blue) design.

Andrew denied any help to me citing that they tried so much to discourage me buying the board but they finally agreed since I was so insisting. The truth is that on his first answer to my inquiry he said that shipping would be too expensive for me at £200 and on his second reply added that he wouldn’t be in a position to make any repair should I need one. To what I know I didn’t put a gun on his head: if they don’t want to sell, a simple « no » is enough.

What happens to people buying from Europe outside of UK? I don’t think that shipping is free. Why no offer made to me to cover the difference in shipping fee? And now the best part of it.

Andrew’s best support was that I should search for a local paddle board shop to repair it. This is what I did but I haven’t been able to find one agreeing to do this delicate repair. I then emailed Andrew again to ask what kind of solvent they use so that I could try the repair myself. I haven’t received any answer to my inquiry yet : I sent this email on August 3rd.

I then decided to fix my board with a friend in a shop. What I discovered astonished me.

I used a cutter to delicately cut the mat half way deep into it and kindly tear the rest apart with two art spatulas. When I was just letting the spatula gently glide on the PVC surface, I felt the spatula bumping on something with a metallic sound. There was a tiny piece of metal debris punctured in the PVC. I succeeded to repair both leaks with crazy glue. The mat is now altered a little bit where I cut and glued it in one place while the other one is almost invisible.

I never encountered such bad faith in my life: being so infatuated about his manufacturing process, which by the way is going on thousands miles away from his eyes, that he can totally assert that what I see before my very eyes is not true. I even made a video showing the leak: tiny bubbles appearing through the porous mat material.

Any responsible company recognizes that sometimes glitches happen in manufacturing processes. Telling me that they never encountered any problem doesn't change what I have in front of my eyes. How can he be so sure that a piece of the mat hasn’t been placed on a table not perfectly clean and then glueing it to the PVC with tiny metal debris? Honestly he can’t because he simply wasn't there when my board has been manufactured.

I now think that when I received my board it was not leaking yet. It's only with the weight of my feet on the mat that this piece of metal that was already there has punctured the PVC layer.

If you think this is really hard to believe, I invite you to write to me and I will forward you all the email exchanges and the video I'm speaking about.

Lastly, don't misunderstand me: I don't say that Quroc paddle boards are no good. I've always thought that they were among the best and I still think the same way. For me, I know that glitches do happen and I'm not looking for a company that is exempt from any. Nevertheless I expect that a responsible company would address the problem instead of blaming the customer.

I do really hope that this message will contribute to Quroc changing its way of doing business and that they will begin to listen to what customers have to say instead of always justifying themselves and looking for arguments to put the blame on them.

There are only two parts of this review we agree with.

Firstly, we should have simply said “no” when you asked us to sell you a board in Canada.

Secondly, you were told very clearly that we cannot provide any after sales support or warranty cover in Canada. You confirmed in several emails and telephone conversations that you fully understood this.

We didn't want to appear unhelpful so, rather than just saying no, we very clearly set out all the reasons you shouldn't buy from us if you're based in Canada. These primarily included, the total lack of after sale care and warranty cover we can provide plus shipping costs of over £200.

We are well known for our customer service and it’s a key part of our customer proposition. It’s why we don't offer Worldwide shipping as we can’t provide any after sales support outside the UK and Europe. Had you been in the UK, this issue would have been very easy to sort.

Having explained this to you, we couldn't understand why you were so keen to buy from an overseas company, especially when there are plenty of other options in Canada.

Alarm bells were ringing but you insisted on proceeding so we then explained you would have to pay by bank transfer as we didn't want to expose ourselves to credit card charge back if there was a “problem”. Again, assuming you would decide against the purchase.

Despite this, you telephoned our office multiple times and sent numerous emails, insisting on proceeding.

We eventually sold you a board in the knowledge that you fully understood the risk and you were 100% aware there would be no after sales help and you would not be covered under our warranty.

Within a few weeks you contacted us to inform us of what you believed to be a manufacturing issue. We explained that what you were describing was impossible without damage. There were no seams in the area where you claimed air was escaping.

Having correctly identified that you were dealing with a puncture, we advised you to look for a local paddle board or RIB repair company who could assist you with the fix.

You refused to accept the board had been punctured and changed your story to suggest that, despite using the board 29 times, the board was always leaking so the “damage” must have been there from new.

I note from your review that you now have a third version and you now believe the puncture wasn't from new but there was something in the manufacturing process which punctured your board when you were using it.

I can assure you that our boards are assembled in a completely clean environment as even a particle of dust can compromise the glueing process. It is far more likely that the metal object you refer to was picked up on a shoe or you have rested your board against a sharp surface.

In addition, all our boards are inflated to 29psi for 48 hours as a final quality control test and your board was also thoroughly checked before we sent it to Canada.

We have been providing premium quality paddle boards for over 11 years and, in that time, our warranty issues are in single figures. We also offer an industry leading 6 year seam leak warranty.

Having ensured you were fully aware that we couldn't support you with any issues in Canada, I don't understand what you expect us to do, other than correctly identify the issue as a puncture and advise you to contact a local expert.

So far we have received, and dealt with, 13 emails from you. I'm sorry if we have missed one.

I'm not sure if your motivation all along was to try and get a board for free. Or, you have just been unfortunate to damage your board and wanted someone else to take responsibility.

Either way, no business should be held to ransom with the threat of a negative review.

Great paddle boards

Great paddle boards. I bought two for my wife and me and I couldn't be happier. I was recommended Quroc by an instructor as I was looking to progress from by first board. The 11'4 is bigger but lighter than my original and the quality of the board and kit is amazing. Thanks also to the guys at Quroc who talked me through the pros and cons of each size board. Bring on the summer!

Fantastic boards and great service.

I'm loving my board. Bought during lockdown it's been just the tonic. I tried a lot of boards in my local club before settling on my Quroc 10'6 and its quantity stands out. However, the reason for my review is based on Quroc's customer service. I recently left the paddle handle section of my paddle in a car park after packing away my board. I contacted Quroc to buy a new paddle but they said they had a spare handle from last year's paddle which they we happy to send me free of charge. They wouldn't even accept any money for postage.

Bought 2 Quroc Crossover boards last…

Bought 2 Quroc Crossover boards last year. Initially great, with no complaints. This year we noticed that the fin box on both boards have cracked. I believe this to be a manufacturing issue as we have used the boards very carefully.
I contacted Quroc, who did not believe it to be a manufacturing issue, so was not covered by the warranty. They did, however say they would do a free repair & could arrange for a courier to collect. Three times I have emailed Quroc to arrange collection & I have had no reply to any of my requests regarding collection. Also contacted Pura Vida, Penarth for help & nothing back from them either.
£1,400 spent and very disappointed with the after sales, especially as Quroc offered free repairs . . . . . . . Certainly would not recommend on this experience.

Update 24/10/2022 Quroc contacted me after seeing the review on trustpilot, stating they never received any of the emails I sent to arrange collection of the paddleboard. There was no bounceback of the emails I sent requesting arranging collection, so I do not understand how Quroc didn’t receive them.
As I have now moved to Australia, it is too late for repair.

I’m sorry you feel we have fallen short of the normally high levels of customer service we deliver. However, I am a little confused as to where we have failed to offer you a quick and easy solution.

You emailed us on 16th August suggesting you believed you had damaged the fin box on one of your boards by the way you had been folding and storing the board. You asked if this was covered by the warranty.

We replied within 30 minutes suggesting it was more likely the fin had come into contact with an object which would have caused the damage. We went on to advise you that, whilst this damage is not covered by the warranty, we would happily repair the board free of charge and asked you to let us know when would be convenient for our courier to collect your board. I know you received this email as you have referred to it in your review. However, we did not receive a reply to our email so we haven’t been able to help you further. We emailed you again on 7th October, following your review, but still there has been no reply.

As you didn’t buy the board from us directly, we don’t have any contact details for you, other than your email, so we are reliant on you replying to our emails.

I can’t understand how you would have trouble contacting us to arrange a repair. Our email and telephone number are both clearly shown on the home page of our website. You are also local to Puravida Boardriders, where you purchased the boards, so you can call into their shop to drop the board off at any time.

The offer of a free repair to your board remains but we just need you to make contact with us to make the necessary arrangements.

Great customer service

Great customer service, helping me choose the correct board for my weight after I ordered the wrong one. Board is amazing, and great quality paddle, pump and other accessories. Even comes with a tiny drybag. Great to paddle as well.

Best I’ve Class SUP and Customer Service

When looking to buy an SUP, i started to do my research and also asked some friends. One friend, had purchased two Quroc boards “after doing extensive research” and was delighted with his purchase. We bought one Quroc 11’4 and quickly thereafter bought a second one. The process could not have been simpler and more Customer centric. The owner/founder, was communicating with us directly at times, and the entire team is outstanding. The aesthetics and quality of the board/package/kit is second to none. And, if/when you desire support and/or Customer Care…. Andy is second to none. As a business owner and as a person. Huge respect and congratulations on continuing to grow your amazing brand.

Love my Quroc SUP…

Love my Quroc 11’4 and the light carbon paddle it comes with. Beautifully packaged. Fantastic customer service. Comes with quick release waist strap and, dry bag plus 2 holders for bottle/shoes. Great pump and bag with wheels and backpack straps.
Just love it!

Just love my board! After missing out last year I pre-ordered early and it was worth the wait. Really well thought out, lots of accessories and super light. First trip out didn't disappoint, roll on the summer!

Great board + excellent customer service

Quroc not only sell great boards but they also offer a excellent customer service. Their next day delivery by courier is amazing and I had a couple of things which I needed help with and their response time was super speedy. If you're looking for a decent paddleboard with a company that offers first class customer service then Quroc is the perfect place to buy.

I used my board last night for the first time (Qi Crossover 10'4) on the River Hamble and it was great, a really strong sturdy board. Easy to pump up with the three chamber pump they supply (much fast than my friend's pump with only one chamber), lots of space for luggage, and the GoPro mount which I'm yet to try but can't wait to give it a go.
