Absolutely appalling

Absolutely appalling. How can a company turn up with just a crowbar to lift a solid oak floor that has been laid on to the asphalt underneath in an house several hundred years old. And then they try lifting it from the middle ??!
After swinging on the crowbar , showing/saying to us look look it’s going to rip , then ripping the asphalt , proceeded to ask us for a key to get in our house whilst we were away . Absolutely not !!
They have increased our claim cost by £5000 .
It’s a good job I have all this on video too - and we have sent it our insurance company.
Never again will you cross our door .

Absolutely appalling service from start…

Absolutely appalling service from start to finish.

The company had my furniture for over five months, yet it was returned in worse condition than when it left. The sofa came back dirty, the table still had marks on it, the seats had clearly not been restored properly, and my vintage dolls house was returned with several marks all over it.

It genuinely feels as though my furniture was simply placed into storage for five months and little to no work was carried out. After such a long wait, I expected a professional restoration service, but the results were extremely disappointing.

To make matters worse, when they returned the furniture, they walked mud throughout my property, showing a complete lack of care and professionalism.

The entire experience has been frustrating and unprofessional. I now have to contact my insurance company and arrange for another company to carry out the work properly. I would not recommend this service to anyone.

Poor service with ongoing inadequate customer experience

Poor service from the start when our property was flooded in storm Chandra at the end of January 2026. 12 or so weeks on things have not improved and we are speaking with our insurers NFU to ask why they use this companies services

Fantastic service extremely helpful

Very professional and helpful service

Very professional and helpful service. I cannot thank Joe enough for how promptly and professionally he carried out the work at my address. Being such a stressful time he made me feel at ease with the process. I cannot thank Joe enough. Also Scarlett who was my contact was brilliant keeping me in the loop with everything so efficiently. I would defiantly recommend this company.

Second time we have had Rainbow Linton…

Second time we have had Rainbow Linton come out to us to detect and excavate a leak..as before, the office team arranged an immediate visit and Olly was on time and over the course of two visits, identified the leak, excavated the area and repaired the offending pipe. Everything was left tidy and Olly talked us through everything he was doing.Insurance covered the excavation but cost of repair was very reasonable. Happy to recommend Rainbow.

Cannot fault Darren from the Rochester…

Cannot fault Darren from the Rochester depot. Absolutely 100% recommend. Following a fire in my daughter's flat, Darren took on the whole of the works needed to be carried out. He managed the whole project and sourced all trades to carry out the work needed with minimal input from ourselves. This was a godsend as we could focus on contents rather than trades for soot cleaning, decorating, electrics, kitchen replacement, plumbing etc. Darren tackled the whole thing and kept us updated regularly. Six months later my daughter is now settled back into her flat. The main delay and time frame is due to Insurance Company's and not Darren and trades he sourced.
I will be contacting Rainbow Restoration (Darren) again if any works are needed within my own home and highly recommend to family and friends.

Draperstown Branch -NI

The office manager Martin provided excellent guidance on the services I would require to fix water damage in my home. He arranged for john & Andrew to install the drying equipment, check moisture levels before removing equipment. Martin, Andrew and John were lovely to deal with and resolved my water damage issue. Thanks all!

Faudsters! Avoid!

Faudsters. I was promised a detailed report after a major leak in my house. The assessor drilled holes in my walls and told us he would be recording moisture levels for the report - but long story short i got an email basically saying "there was faulty pipe upstairs and water leaked downstairs". No detail whatsoever, and none of their findings recorded. Shocking! I've been requesting my £300 refund since May, but have not had any response to my email. They caused more damage to my house by drilling into walls. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! They've also accidentally rang me twice now thinking I was someone else, raising concerns about how they store customer data.

Middle lane Wa**** using phone while driving

Sat behind a rainbow restoration van on the m6 today, confused as to why he was staying in the middle lane with nobody around in front of him… as I overtook him he was glued to his phone, absolute moron wouldn’t trust him to restore the contents of my bin. (1/10/25 @ 14:45 on m6 a few junctions before Preston heading northbound)

Cowboys..

Cowboys launching people's possessions into the van then kicking them 👍🏻 Then blocking a whole street when asked to move was told it'll be 10 minutes. Caused damaged to a neighbours car and didn't even let them know.

Darren from their Rochester branch here in Kent gave us reassuring advice over the phone after some carpet spillage concerns and very quickly came over in person to view the problem. Really professional service - good people 10/10 !

After having a kitchen fire

After having a kitchen fire, we had rainbow restorations come out to clean. Clive and Darren from the Rochester branch came out and did a superb job. They were professional polite and sorted everything for me. Gillian and Meg in the office were great sorting things out from their end, they are a fantastic team. They arranged for Rupert to come over and measure up the kitchen, he came and explained everything to me and was very kind. My boiler wasn’t working, so they also phoned Louis gas and heating to come out and fix the boiler, they were also brilliant and highly recommend. When Clive and Darren left the boiler was working and the kitchen was clean and tidy. They were highly professional and would definitely recommend. They took over all the stress and got things done.

Re Rainbow Preston/Blackpool
Our road was flooded 6 months ago for the second time in 14 years. Our first experience was dreadful and we really wanted to avoid the same thing happening again. Our loss adjuster appointed Rainbow to start the work of clearing the affected areas and then drying out the house. We had a number of meetings with Daniel and his colleagues and telephone contacts with Diane over the 6 months. I have to say we had no complaints at all. The service was prompt and courteous and we were consulted about decisions needed. I definitely recommend Rainbow Preston/ Blackpool and thank them for their support.

Don't bother trying to complain, they don't care!

Rainbow were appointed by insurance company following a flood to dry the downstairs living room, kitchen and bathroom. I took an annual leave day from work on the day they were supposed to come to find out the booking had been made for a different day, after receiving a confirmation of the original date. They took 5 weeks to dry the property out. One of the fans they left had a broken cord with exposed wires so we turned it off straight away as the last thing we wanted was a fire after the flood. They took the floor up in the living room, kitchen and bathroom however they didn't remove the bathroom tiles around the toilet and we only realized when we came to put a new floor down they didn't remove the tiles under the fridge and freezer in the kitchen, which has resulted in the damp raising into the wall. When we sent a complaint in they were not interested and although we have photographic evidence of the tiles and the damp, they claim they had fully dried the house out and that the damp we were referring to was 'historic'. Absolute joke, had no intentions of admitting their wrong doing. The complaint wasnt to get them to rectify their problem as we sorted it ourselves in the end and we certainly do not want them back in the house but more to make them aware so other people don't have the same issue and they weren't interested.
