Bad customer service

I have been using the service for years and was delighted. For months now it has started to have different bugs that make the application not return the correct data, which is essential for this type of service. We have had tickets open for 4-6 months and we are still waiting for a response. The last, a couple of tickets opened 2 weeks ago indicating a SERIOUS error and still no response. A couple of years ago, this error already happened and after reporting it they solved it in hours, now ... we are still waiting for a response.

EDIT: Everything remains the same, a ticket opened 1 month ago that makes it impossible to use the API for certain countries and their response is that since it is not something important they do not know when it will be resolved. In other words, not being able to use the service you pay for is not important ...

EDIT: A week later and they still haven't given me a solution and they don't even know when they will be able to get to it.

EDIT: More than a month since the last incident, with no resolution date and we are still paying for it. The customer service is a disaster.

Poor support, clunky tool… consider other vendors!

API is clunky and challenging to use for bulk ASIN processing. API’s behaviour was different than expected. Support team refused to consider refunding unused subscription. Do not recommend!

They refuse to refund subscription even…

They refuse to refund subscription even one day after subscription renew. They stay behind their policy and refuse to refund. I have test the product one day, pay for one month and forget the date of renew, with a single email before renew I would have close the account and stop it. Amazing way to help a new small customer. Not sure it is a good way to work for 59$. I have never send a wrong review before that's the first one.

excellent service and support

That's an excellent service but it would be better if the data was updated since it's outdated sometimes.

The support was great and resolved my issue. The problem was my wrong request and not the product.

Terrible Experience

Terrible Experience.
Production Plan (250$) to use the method ASIN to GTIN.
10K request done with existing ASIN. Less than 10% GTIN result.
Support indicates they were investigating. No ETA provided. We waited 3 weeks. Nothing have been done.
Credits could not be transfer next month. Move to another provider.

Unfortunately (you're right), CSV results from bulk uploads (Collections) are still subject to a size limit per file. For now, we split the results into smaller groupings in order to ensure smooth downloads across all Collections. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Review API not functioning as advertised

Unfortunately, I have not been able to get the intended results. Firstly, empty results are counted towards my token usage. This means that even when I don't receive any data, my token count is still being deducted. Furthermore, currently the custom review API responses give only the first page as a result, which is not helpful as I need thousands of pages of data. This has resulted in me not being able to use the service as advertised. I have reached out to the support team multiple times for help, but I have not received any helpful response for over 10 days. This is unacceptable, as I am still paying for the service without being able to use it effectively. I urge RainforestAPI to rectify these issues as soon as possible and provide the service that I am paying for. I am extremely dissatisfied with the service provided, and in its current state I do not recommend it to others looking into downloading customer reviews.

Stock data doesn't work most of the time, been down for weeks and weeks and still no answers. Not impressed by this and needs to be sorted

Awful Refund Policy. Absolute Garbage of a Company

Awful company policies. They tote about the quality of their API calls but when tested it had a spotty success rate versus just simply using Amazon's add product page with the same UPC. I had only made less than 5% of my monthly allotted request limit and decided to cancel the same day I subscribed. I thus requested a refund and they claimed that all sales are final and no refunds or partial refunds were allowed and that when I cancelled I would lose immediate access to my remaining requests allotment. Absolute garbage company policies.

The best external API but slow

Everything is excellent but I think you can improve these:
1. API speed.
2. Provide refinements in a different endpoint, because the current way is slow and requires a lot of manual work.

In case you haven't discovered this yet: If you are running a large number of requests, it would make sense to use Collections to run the requests in bulk. You’ll get much better speeds overall as the platform runs requests in a Collection concurrently, and you can have up to 15k requests per Collection. Let us know if you have any questions!
