I love Raphael.app - not because it is easy to get a picture - it's not: you have to work very hard, and it means I have to use my brain and think, which is a very good thing - nothing good should come easy, or we will become like our tool - a robot. I love it because I can generate reading pictures for my children's phonics reading books - for free - and the children love them and love learning to read! I need consistent characters - I more or less get them - with some tweaking here and there. Yes, I often have to generate many images to get exactly what I want - but this is only AI. In a perfect world, I would draw my own images - but my children would never learn to read. Thank you, Raphael.app
only 4 stars, because often the image resolution is poor. But if you want something for free - well, beggars cannot be choosers.

This application does not deliver what it promises. Image generation is unnecessarily difficult and unreliable. Errors occur constantly, often without clear explanations, making it frustrating to get even a single usable result.

Human image generation is especially weak. Female characters all end up looking extremely similar, almost like sisters, regardless of how different the prompts are. There is very poor identity diversity or control, which completely defeats the purpose if you’re trying to create unique characters.

The new “canvas” feature is basically broken. Editing an image does not work as expected — instead of modifying the existing image, it frequently generates a completely different one, ignoring the original composition. This makes iterative work impossible.

Overall, the app feels unfinished and overpromised. The marketing suggests precision, control, and advanced editing, but in reality you get instability, errors, and inconsistent results. Not worth the time or money in its current state.

Die Bildkorrektur scheint nicht zu funktionieren. Zwei prompts wurden in englischer Sprache eingegeben. Keiner wurde ausgeführt. Als Ergebnis erschien mein Ursprungsbild praktisch unverändert. Die nicht bearbeiteten Versuche zählten jedoch, so daß ich keine weiteren ohne Anmeldung mehr habe. Feedback an die Betreiber der Seite auf der Seite selbst leider nicht möglich. Da fragt man sich ob Kunden hier überhaupt erwünscht sind.
